Garchomp Voting!

this looks good for me. i was kinda pissed because i became eligible to vote out of casual play a day after eligibility was closed -.- . looks like things don't need my vote for my hopes to become a reality.

We already had a very long and tedious bold vote on Deoxys-S, and the community itself voted it for OU. Therefore, it actually was tested and voted on before Garchomp. I really don't think that we should be forced to vote on it again, since it just seems like a waste of another month that we could be using to test another suspect.

Anyways, I guess that if Chomp is seen as uber, DX-S would be in the standard metagame by itself, which is testing in its own way, while something else is being tested on the suspect test. However, that's only if Chomp is seen as uber.

Bah Humbug to the people who voted Garchomp to Ubers. :\
 
I hope it stays OU at least until we can see how Platinum affects the metagame. Who knows, maybe we'll have a counter to it when the dust settles.

keep in mind that D-E was labeled standard before the DS version was used. that thing is just broken. i think if we voted for it now, it'll be sent back to being uber. the community will only vote based on what the community can see. there's new information now and that makes it an entirely different situation.
 
I thought the D-E vote ended up almost a straight tie, in which case, no decision should have been made either way. Also the voting process that was used felt more like arguing in front of a judge than actual voting. Unreliable and subjective at best.

We already know how effective Garchomp can be in Ubers. Taking facts from its effectiveness in OU, we can conclude that Garchomp can form a dent in just about every pokemon in the game, CB Chomp especially and possibly the only set viable to cause mass destruction.

So with Garchomp in Ubers it will be amazing to see its true success as an "official" Uber.
