That would make sense. I just want to know what seperates the 11th Movie Shaymin and the Flower Paradise Shaymin. Is it something in the coding? Have people checked the hex values of the movie shaymin? (Goes to check)

EDIT: Not the hex values. Have people changed the place met, ticked the fateful encounter box, given it the classic ribbon? All these things may add up...

It may be something as simple as checking the location obtained and date obtained.
 
Its either SID/TID or classic ribbon. At least i'm assuming.

EDIT: Location can be an reason. Maybe somone should get a paradisemin and then make 3 copies. One w/classic ribbon, one w/ SID/ID of a movieskymin, and one with its location be event thing.Date obtained can't be a reason because maybe someone could have saved their wondercard or something. People who SR aren't going to get their best shaymin in 1 day.
 
For those of you who are wondering what the 4th option on the menu screen is (or know what it is but can't figure it out to save your life), it's your e-mail setting so you can get spam-- I mean notifications from GTS. The first thing you do is enter your e-mail address. Put it in a second time to verify. Then you'll be sent a verification e-mail from nintendo wifi. Take note of the last 4 digits in the 7-digit strand given to you, and put them in to complete e-mail verification. From there, it'll ask you to put in a 4 number password.

I have to say, I'm really impressed with Nintendo. All this technology and fun, so simple to use, and so safe for the kids. You can't even look at your own input e-mail address without the password (ie, if someone stole your kid's DS, they couldn't get your e-mail without the password). <3 family friendly nintendo. Fuck off you non-family-friendly video games. >:(
 
I just need Umbreon to get the national pokedex. Any trainers in the game have one? I think I need it to go farther from the battle frontier because there are these two guys blocking the path.
 
About Shaymin: I got a (hacked? I don't know) Movie Shaymin (JPN as nationality), and I test pretty much all the important variables: Its Ball, OT, ID, SID, Location (just chosen a random one), and ribbon. With the crazy combos I did, if it were something that could stop Shaymin's transforming, I would know. Yet all of them transformed.

So, somebody mentioned Flower Paradise as its location. I used a legit FP I have, sent it to Pt, tried to transform it into Skymin... And nothing. I tried to change its Hometown to Pt and nationality to JPN, and yet nothing.

I can't even say only legit Shaymins transform into Skymin because I hacked a 31/31/31/31/31/31 once and yet, it transformed -__-

This is pretty bad then - I guess you either try to SR for all three at once (ouch) or focus on one exclusively. Either way, you're only going to come out of it with one good bird.
 
to be frank, you'd be better off buying FR or LG and SRing for the birds on there. It would be be considerably easier as you can do them 1 by 1 and you won't have to chase them down. You can then easily clone them on emerald.
 
Also, personally, I think that Moltres and Zappy have been SR'd to death and there are tons of good ones already....Only one I want now is an Hp Ice/Grass Calm Zapdos, and I am good with the birds.

I took a movie Sheimi and edited its location to be Flower Paradise... it transformed!

Changed its 85h... it transformed.

Changed its language to ENG, unchecked Fateful Encounter, and put it in a Premier Ball... did not transform. So it's one of those three things.

I'll try Fateful Encounter first... did not transform.

Changed the Poke Ball and language, and it transformed just fine. So it appears that all the game checks for is the Fateful Encounter flag.

would it be safe to assume the same for the regigigas to unlock the three regis?

Makes sense though, that way they wont have to alter the code when the game comes to america and they can use it as a way to get people to events
 
So basically it check to see if you bush hedgehog have the Fateful encounter flag on or off, am I right? If it's off then no Skymin for you. If it's on, a Skymin you shall receive.

Quite content with my shiny, not so awesome IVed, Luxury Balled, 15 / 11 / 17 / 16 / 29 / 14 Moltres. (HP Water 36. :V)

It's a shame I can't change it without Pokésav... Or can I?

Pokesav is the easiest way to change it. All the other ways are also hacking but more complicated. Its essentially what pokesav does but without using pokesav.

But I think your question is whether you can do it in game. That is impossible. A pokemon's encounter data cannot be changed in game (without external devices/programs/etc..).
 
Edit them back in once you are done with Pokesav? But I can guarantee you Platinum pays no attention to Sheimi's trash bytes, my lazy ass didn't bother to put them back and the majority of the things I tested transformed just fine.
 
Well, could be. I don't know exactly how I'd do this, but I'll look for the needed programs later.

Now, I need to get the Rotoms somehow >:|

I think so. I was missing a few when I beat the game, but there was a whole route full of trainers I hadn't battled yet. Lo and behold, they had all the pokemon I was missing except Manaphy and the three elves.
