Just like the title says, most of this team is made to turn the odds in my favor. Has been working quite well on Shoddy, with probably a 75% win rate
Team at a glance:
@ Choice Scarf
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/252 SAtk/6 SDef
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Psychic
- Toxic
- Trick
- Stealth Rock
Something I thought I'd try out. With all the TrickScarfers around, I need something fast and with a Scarf, and Deoxys is perfect! Trick the Scarf onto something slow and you're still faster than them. Psychic hits those poor ScarfGar. Toxic and Stealth Rock are just random utility moves, maybe something else?
@ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch
- Pursuit
- Superpower
Tried the SD version, and I didn't like it, but I fell in love with Choice band. U-Turn not only is good on a Choice set, but it also gets STAB. Bullet Punch is a great move on him, with Technician, STAB and priority. Pursuit again, because Technician works well with it if they don't switch, and Pursuit is just a cool move. Superpower hits Heatran switch ins, and also OHKOs Blissey, Snorlax and other random Steel and Ice types
@ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/222 Def/36 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Heat Wave
- Roost
- Light Screen
Stops opposing Scizor, and works fairly well against Skymin. Heat Wave for Scizor and Steel types in general. Thunderbolt is there, obviously. Light Screen helps my Scarftran weakness and also softens Skymin's hits
@ Scope Lens
Ability: Sniper
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Waterfall
- Return
- Dragon Dance
- Focus Energy
Back with the hax theme, although he doesn't really hax that much. But if he DOES get a Focus Energy in, those critical are going to hurt. Other than that, it's normal DDing Kingdra. And yes, I know about Outrage, but I'd rather not switch out from confusion after a DD or 2 and a FE
@ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 240 HP/252 Atk/18 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Iron Head
- Zen Headbutt
- Wish
- Body Slam
Finally Jirachi gets a decent flinch Physical move again, and STAB move to boot! Pretty intuitive movest: Paralyze stuff and then flinch them, with some healing in between
@ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/6 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Air Slash
- Ancientpower
- Roost
- Silver Wind
Togekiss. Oh, Togekiss. The star of the team. The 20% chance from both Ancientpower and Siler Wind is huge for such a massive boost, and Air Slash can keep Phazers from blowing me away. Roost is just recovery
