Liberals move to Canada when Republicans win.

Me, I'd move to the Philippines. They still have moral standards and their women are gorgeous.

I really hope that Obama ends up being a great president for the United States, because as much as your country needs it, Canada needs you to have a good president as well.

Congrats Obama and his supporters on this historic night :)

I hate that people are focusing on the fact of how historic this was. Okay yea, that's a big point, but soon it is going to come down to a time where how historic his election was won't really matter. I hate to bring race into this, but I feel that it was a bigger factor than it should have been in helping his candidacy. I am inclined to agree with Deck Knight on a few things, but perhaps not so extremely on a few negative aspects.

We don't give a crap about what anyone else thinks.

This is the United States elections - we didn't appreciate when people chanted "Obama" in France, Germany, or Jordan, because, they can't vote. Did you notice that polls dropped with his world tour? Americans don't care about what Socialist Europe,or China, or Africa think of us. If they see us as agressive, then good - they will fear us and get out of our way (like when Reagan was here). When we appear as Pansys, we are seen as weak, and vulnerable. Case in point: Jimmy Carter, JFK, FDR.

Frankly, you guys are just worried over our economy, and whether we leave Iraq so that you can prosper.

i love how deck knight's immediate response to anyone other than his candidate winning the election is "oh well he got there through fraudulent means"

how fucking immature do you want to be? i mean, really

Obamasnow used Avalanche!
It's Super-Effective!

Republicans' ReliCainth fainted!
Republicans' out of useable pokemon!
Democrats wins!

thought I'd throw a pokemon humor twist on the situation, heh heh heh

And I agree with Peanut Lover, the economy is what was my movitating factor in whom to choose. (not that I got to choose, seeing as I forgot about deadline registration to vote... ><)

How about you go read something instead of assuming I have nothing to back it up.

Oh, that would require you to do something other than chant "yes we can."

Did you not read the dozens of stories about ACORN fraud?

Did you somehow miss Obama's dubious campaign donation standards? (I've posted that link in here before. At least once.)

So yeah. Read up.

I'd move to Germany, Greece, or Turkey - they all love chemical research, my intended profession.

I'd like to sidestep the races for now, and show that another survey was true - polling machines are completely fucked up.

In Michigan, paper ballots were done because machines failed.
In Georgia, forget it - machines wouldn't start up and they dragged out old machines.

Isn't it pathetic? Any beliefs on future elections (as in, will we be completely electronic and fucked, or will we abandon the electronic after these problems?)?

Paper Ballot + Electronic Reader is what they do in MA. Works very well. You fill in the bubble with a marker like you do a standardized test. Then the machine reads it and tallies (as far as I know.) Problem solved.

i think you forgot to post the link proving that he won this election via fraud

Voter Registration Fraud (allows fraudulent votes to be cast, overwhelms checks for real voters) + Donation Fraud (VIOLATES ELECTION LAW, Enables tracking of fraudulent names using seedier, more subversive sources, etc.)

Do you have a reading impediment?

It is impossible to know if Obama legitimately won because he has tainted his campaign with Fraudulent activity. Winning an election through illegitimate means is equivalent to winning through fraud. Obama would still have objectively used fraudulent means if he lost.

nope, still not seeing the information required to rationally infer that obama won this election on the back of fraudulent votes

you've got information, but none of it proves the claims you're making.

Someone's been drinking the Republican kool-aid for too long to realize when they're being played. The ACORN thing is a joke, by law they MUST accept all registrations or they would ironically be guilty of voter fraud. If they were able to choose which registrations to accept or not accept they could potentially completely lock out one party. Plus to vote under the registrated name you must have proof you are that person, how many people have a state-issued driver's liscence with "MICKEY MOUSE" printed on it? Do you know how hard that stuff is to fake? Not to mention the dozens of times John McCain donated to Acorn's cause and even spoke at one of their benefits.

Plus the donation fraud charge is laughable, I mean absurdly laughable. Any donation without relevant information is not used and is infact refunded to whomever provided it. Plus with the sheer amount of money the Obama camp managed to generate they have enough not spent to equal hundreds of times the amount supposedly fraudulantly donated. But I guess things like "Facts" and "logic" don't matter next to good ole REAL AMERICAN common sense.

Obama was never tied to ACORN, that is a lie. So are a lot of other things, like that voter fraud bullcrap. There is much more evidence that the 2000 election was corrupt. But it doesn't matter now, since Barack Obama will be our next President.
EDIT: I made it through eight years of Bush. Grow the hell up.

I highly doubt any voter fraud would have even mattered because that election was a complete blowout. McCain never had a chance tonight.

He did give a very proper consolation speech, and did well to tell his supporters to settle down when you were becoming obnoxious. If you noticed in Obama's speech, his supporters applauded when Obama spoke about McCain.

I live in North Philadelphia, and it feels almost like last week when the Phillies won the world series, people are ecstatic.

FDS, that's some win.

I must say that I'm proud of both candidates. I voted for Obama, and am confident in my decision, but if McCain would have won I wouldn't have been too crushed. He conceded with a great deal of dignity and respect, and I highly admire that.

I can't lie though when I say I got a special feeling when they announced that he was sub-officially President-elect, and also when he gave his speech which I thought was borderline AMAZING. All in all this was a pretty special night for me, especially considering it was the first election I was able to vote in.

I also live in Indiana which is looking like will give its votes to the Democrats for the first time since Johnson which is pretty cool.

EDIT: The Pichu I'm currently breeding will be named after Obama (I vowed to nick-name it after the winner of the election).
