"His Falco is rape" - no.
"That's a rape Falco" - no.
"a rape advantage" - no I don't even know what that means
 
Maybe I should clear some things up about brawl+ here...

Yoshi King, I can understand your sentiments about people hacking a game that you love just the way it is, but no one's forcing anything down others' throats. People who like brawl+ will play brawl+. People who like brawl will continue playing brawl. Brawl+ is not going to "overtake" brawl, and if it does, then it would be at the point that brawl would have naturally died out anyway. It will merely be an alternative play format.

Your statement about people trying to make brawl more like melee is off base. The melee airdodge is very very unlikely to be used in the final brawl+ (for more reasons than I can list here). For the most part, mechanics being tweaked are shared by both ssb64 and melee (ie. increasing hitstun, increasing shieldstun, adding reduced aerial lag on landing, GETTING RID OF TRIPPING, requiring people to actually sweetspot their recoveries, etc). All of these mechanics existed in both of the previous smash games, not just melee (although the hitstun and shieldstun in ssb64 was a bit over the top). There's also talk about increasing the dashdance window, which was fairly large in both melee and ssb64. We've also found that we can make a few banned stages viable through the use of a level speed modifier and setting the speed to 0. Warioware becomes a neutral with this code.

Now, there are some people who want more radical codes such melee airdodge, increased gravity, carrying run momentum in a jump (which is probably impossible to code might I add), or freezing already viable CP stages with the level speed modifier code. But at the current rate things are going, none of these will make it in, and the result of this project will truly be an alternative brawl, and not a melee 2.0. Perhaps brawl+ wasn't the best name that it could've been given, but there's not much you can do about that now.

That said, firestorm's logic is rape. Wait...

And I think Sonic is worst in the game, not Samus. At least Samus has easily utilized projectiles. Sonic's spring is just a bit too situational at times. They both have trouble killing, though.
 
I'm putting my vote in for Ganondorf or Falcon for the last slot. I would say Link or Jiggs, but they have prior favoritism from me, so I'd like NOT to see either of them in last place.
 
Samus might be the worst in the game at killing (although she's got some competition from Diddy) but her ZAir alone is better than Falcon/Ganon. And there's always "run away from me until I get tired" PKMN TRNR...
 
I do not see the incentive to debate the worst character in the game when the lower half of the cast is deemed completely nonviable in a tournament setting.

Captain Falcon is the worst character. I am not debating this, I am stating it outright. He is the worst.
 
Do you mean the lower half of the old tier list or the one their about to release right now?

Either way, people don't give CF enough credit. :(

Falco is now second and Kirby is in sixth. Also holy crap Zero Suit Samus and Sonic where did you come from. And Lucas in Last? Not what I was expecting.
 
Interesting that this character list has shifted completely towards ranking characters by tournament representation (or rather, their placing in tournaments) and no longer their perceived usefulness- I'm glad that this much was stated in a very obvious way, or else I would have been completely taken aback. Lucas and Ness should absolutely not be at the bottom of the list based on their individual abilities... why was this change made? I'm rather curious, as before I thought that the old "tier list" was a mix of perceived character ability in tandem with their results from tournaments.
 
This isn't a tier list. This tournament ranking thing has been going on for ages. These are the most recent updates.
 
You both have to be incredibly moronic yourselves to not realize I was asking why the change was made, not when, or what characters it affects. Pakistani, if all you're going to do is make snide remarks instead of actually discussing the "rankings list", fuck right off from this thread. Christ.

Also in regards to the "tournament ranking thing has been going on for ages" comment, I know it has- but in the previous tier list (and even this one) Mia said votes were being taken regarding character placement. What I'm wondering is why these votes seemed to have such little weight in regards to character placement compared to previous "ranking lists", resulting in Ness/Lucas ending up in bottom tier despite obviously being better characters than Captain Falcon or Jigglypuff.
 
Yoshi King, the character rankings list isn't a tier list in any way, shape, or form. It is only a statistical ranking of characters by their performance in tournies and is not meant to be taken for a tier list. This is all it has ever been. It has existed since before the first official tier list and it remains the same in its purpose today.
 
Yea it's not that hard to figure out why a tier list differs from a ranking's list lol. And sorry Thunderhorse, I've been meaning to play you, butkeep forgetting.

I have my doubts about that last part.

Anyway, Golden Togekiss's quote came from the tournament placings thread being linked to.
