Thanks for the comments.

Now, I present a aerodynamic version of knigtmon.

shield on other arm? yet another masterpiece from you calad :)

Are we allowed to have blurred parts of our 'mons included?

For example, a pokemon with a body part further in the back would be blurred a bit. Is that acceptable?

@Caladblog - I like the Knightmon without the legs. With legs it looks more Steel/Fighting or Steel/Fire (points to flaming head). If you color it I suggest taking a tip from Gastly and making the fire/gas stuff coming off of its head purpleish. If you take the legs off and replace it with the fire/gas stuff you should make that purple as well. It also looks more like a bulky sweeper than a scout.

I also am not really a fan of Trapmon, at least in that pose. It just looks like a Chain-Chomp with hands IMO.

@Atyroki - I love the second coloring, but I think the goggles would look better if they were that same light-grey that hands and legs are.

@DougJustDoug - I dont know if I like the ribcage or not. It could just be a female/male difference if you cant decide. One of my favorites so far, cant wait to see the colored version!

@Kopie - I like it, but I dont really know whats going on. With Doug, Calad, or Atyroki's you know whats what and wheres where. It isnt as obvious with yours and thus leads me to believe that it would be harder to sprite.

@DarthVader317 - I liked your original post more than the newest one. the horse reminds me of an alternate evo of Ponyta. Maybe take the original and go in a more dog like direction with it. Also Black Dranzer's idea of a headless horsemen is pretty good too (if you stick with the horse design of course).

I am surprised (with all the knight designs running around) that we havent seen like an actual "scout." An archer or something along those lines seems perfect if combined with the ghost knight like thing.

Well, heres my project, nicknamed PokeMace. So far, I've gone from a vaguely knightesque thing, to a more solid design, to this. I've changed to colors to be more grey than grey-blue, and made one hand into a mace and chain. I've tried to make the sort of ghostly tendrils into more of a hair like thing, and made them red, to give sort of a roman look to the design. Im planning on giving it a cooler pose and maybe a cape for my final concept.

Criticism is welcome!

Haha midevil jason

Just a quick post to say some nice submissions here (though it seems to be centralized around either robots or knights x_x), and that I plan to have a rough draft of my submission by the end of the week.

Pokemon are generally very simple shapes without a lot of features (like all the dings in the metal, the smaller screws, the mask vents), this is because it doesn't show up well in the sprites.

Also, you shouldn't shade the red ethereal part, you shaded it like a solid object so it looks like cloth or something.

Ok, I'll keep that in mind. And I was sort of going for more of a cloth, but the etheral look would be better, thanks!

Made the changes, I also added a quick cape, just to see how it looked.

I had the idea that as a scout, CAP7 would use its hands to reconnoiter the opponent, so i designed the hands as separate entities able to act independently.

it is still a work in progress, so constructive criticism is very much appreciated.

Thanks.

OK, here's my submission:

Sorry if there's any technical difficulties, I suck with computer stuff.

Anyway, my design is based off a marionette puppet. It's joints are not attached but still there, giving it the "held on by spiritual power" look. The joints are based off Bionicles pieces, which snaps right on. My vision of it using scouting moves is something like disconnecting itself, each piece still in perfect control, then do the scouting.

I was thinking about adding a control bar or strings, but it looks ok without them. Some opinions?

I'm open to all suggestions! Thanks.
man, this is SO good, but it doesn't look very "scoutish"

I revamped my old picture to increase the quality and make up for some of MS Paint's hardtoworkwithness. I think it matches the general simplicity well known in Pokemon and also looks a lot like both of it's types.

Also, lol @ Vegeta pokemon. That's simply epic.

I don't really see how that is a scout, kaonohiokala, sorry. It looks like a Spiritomb evo actually lol.

Is it meant to be a spider or something?

Ok, I love Caladbolg~'s . In my opinion it captures the ghost part very well, plus being a knight adds the steel and scout factors.

I also love Atyroki's one. The V.2 Colour scheme is better. It deinately looks like a ghost/steel and its skinny gangly look makes it seem like a "scout."
With the goggles though. To me they make him look more like a psychic and looks a little "Specs"y. More like a special attacker. Maybe change the eyes to a more "Steel" look, though its up to you, it looks awesome.
