Damn, I just finished my sprites, and I just reread the rules and found that mine breaks them.

I'm voting for aragornbird at present.

First one to get back sprites in woo!

My backs tend to get mixed responses whenever I post them. Eh I hope this set's good enough. The back isn't an exact mirror of the front but it's still a look over the shoulder type that's pretty common in Pokemon quadruped back sprites. I may tweak it later on but this is probably going to be very close to my final submission.

I was playing around with some poses, searching for inspiration to make a submission. But, after seeing this set of sprites, I think I'm going to be a gushing Wyverii fan this time around. Her sprites are just so amazing, that I really don't think I can make anything better. Normally, I make sprites because I have a vision of what I think the sprite should look like, and I just HAVE to make it. Now that I've seen Wyverii's sprites, she has completely exceeded my most ambitious expectations. I don't think I can do it any better, and I'm not even going to try.

aragonbird, Aty, and Wyverii's sprites are definetly my favourites.

I personally think Wyverii should darken the main sprite.

I think Wyverii's is the best by far for right now, but I think she should darken the colors, and maybe straighten out the tail a little more
 
I don't want to make a backsprite for this since Wyverii's is amazing.
Wyverii, you have my vote, but just make the coloring a bit darker.

So Plus told me to do a pouncing pose, and I loved the idea, but had a shitty time trying to do it, until I saw an ad in one of my old archie comics for my favourite playstation game ever, TOMBA!, and Tomba was pouncing on a pig, and I went "That's the pose!" so, here it is, though I need to try and heighten the contract between the right leg and the tail
 
Only gripe I have is that the arms look way too human for my liking. :(

Try to make them more animalish, if you can.
 
It's just the way they are sticking out of the shoulders. Human arms are a ball and socket, so they allow for a free movement of the arms in all directions.

Canines and other quadrupeds' arms face downward more or something of the matter..

blaughguhdgh, I'm bad at describing anatomy so basically I would make it so the arms don't stick out so wide and lower them a bit.

More like ARTYROKI.

I think in particular the arm on the right side looks humanish. When dogs/cats/whatever jump they don't really spread their arms out to the side like a plane. I don't know how to describe it but the arm sort of needs to be more... forward? EDIT- Bascially I'm trying to say the same thing as KoA.

My only other crtique is that the paws on the legs sort of just stop, though I think you're confined by space there.

Sorry I can't be helpful but that's definitely the most dynamic pose so far.

Awesome pose!

Again, as everyone is telling you, the arms look very humanish.
Also, i think it has a very big forehead on the main mask, and the tail looks more like an extended cape or something. I would love to see this with a smaller forehead and with the tail in a better position.

Also, a little thing is that his belly looks a little bit fat (may be thanks to the shading).

Otherwise awesome sprite and pose <3
 
Wyverii's... looks... awesome! Cartoons has got a pretty nice sprite design as well. These two are definitely my favorites at the moment. Beautiful work.

Moved the arms forward a bit, fixing the flames is being a bitch

I'll try and thin out his tummy in a bit, but I'm used to being around a fat cat (Glares at pet he appropriately calls Fat Tony)
 
@Atyroki - I really like the pouncing sprite, and I highly suggest using that sprite seeing as how the back sprite for your first design would be an epic butt shot.

@Wyverii - That back sprite is amazing!! I like the front one too, but it all seems a little too cluttered, but Im sure thats just me. You definately have my vote right now.
 
@MC: The front sprite and back sprite don't always have the same pose :/

Tucked in tummy and reddened the shiny

(For some reason smogon or imageshack darkens the sprite >:0)

Edit: Brightened mask and removed crease
 
Yay, Atyroki that is plain awesome!!!

You went different and thats the best thing, i like the colors like darkened like now :P
