What do you guys think?
 
TVboyCanti, those are really awesome. The revamps definitely look more modern, keep up the good work. ;D

LR, you did a nice job with that Piplup.

Kinda Ironic that people are doing revamps now. I've been doing R/B revamps for Schwas new R/B/Y battle sim. They've been done for weeks but I never thought to post them here:

I wouldn't call those revamps; they're just recolours. A revamp would have edited shading and outlining, too. For example (digs out ancient sprite):

You don't need to resize the sprite as I have done, but you should fix the outline and reshade the sprite (or at least change it).

Genesis, I tutored you, doesn't mean I hate everything you do. The second scratch is too small. The spoink looks good, but could use some shading work.

Overall, you are getting better.
 
GoO, if you know the shading and outlines are messed up, why did you post it? The reason for posting is to learn to improve. If you know what to improve, it might distract people from other stuff you are doing wrong.

Yeah, sure. Take whichever one you want (I made two) and give credit. I'm doing one (dubbed "BirDeoxys") for each form, so I can give you those as I do them if you want.
 
Thanks for the critiques on the revamps/recolors guys, I'll be sure to go back and fix the outlines where they are broken or dirty. A lot of RB sprites have extra pixels around the outline and I wasn't sure if I should remove them, but now I see that they're making the sprites look dirty. As for doing new shading etc, you have to remember that I will eventually be doing all Fully Evolved RB/Y sprites, so efficiency is the word of the day. I can really only scratch new shading where it's needed, like when a sprite has a large area of black (eg: dragonite, snorlax, poliwrath).
