If your Pokemon has 341 HP and it uses Substitute, will it take 85 or 86 HP to make it?

Question: If someone uses Earthquake (or any 3-target attack) in a double battle, and it's partner is not hit (Protect/Levitate/Flying), and one out of the two Pokemon in the opponent's team is also not hit, will it hit that last hittable single Pokemon for full power (100 BP), or cut power (I think 75 BP)?

So we'll say there's a Marowak using EQ. It's partner is a Togekiss. The opponent has a Latios and Metagross out. Will Meta be hit by a 100 BP Quake or a 75 BP Quake?

Is it the same case with dual-target moves such as Heat Wave and Rock Slide?

Not sure if this is the right place to post but Im having trouble using the new Netabattle.

Every time I try to battle I get this:

Then I go to the Website and get this

From the Damage Formula:

TVT is 0.75 if the game is 2vs2 and the move used hits more than one Pokemon, and 1 otherwise.

From this, I assume that it'll have full Base Power, but I may be wrong.

Better question: If you explode, and the opponent has a Ghost and a Non-Ghost out, will the Non-Ghost get hit with a weakened Explosion/Selfdestruct?

In response to 2vs2 battles and multi-target moves; the move will only reach 100% (instead of 75) if another pokemon that is hit by the same move faints in battle 1st (so saying it had a higher speed). That could be either the opponents partner or your own.

So ive got zapdos (fastest in play) and shuckle (slowest), the opponents got bronzong (3rd fastest) and shedinja (2nd fastest).

Zapdos uses heatwave (as the 1st move of the turn)
Shedinja faints (only taking the 75% dmg of the original move)
Then Bronzong is hit by the move at 100%.

Immunities, and protect/detect dont change the dynamic. But can prevent the fainting.

So heres the example again with shedinja using protect

Shedinja uses protect
Zapdos uses heatwave
Shedinja protects itself
Then Bronzong is hit by the move at 75%.

So to answer the questions; Jibaku, metagross would be hit for 75%
and Seven Deadly Sins, the non-ghost would take 75% aswell.

explosion behaviour in 2vs2 (from the research thread below), tested by myself...hmm ideally you´d want your partner to be hit first and faint so that both oponent´s pokémon are hit with 100% power...if your partner protects it would be 0,75x and either 0,75x or full powerd on the last one, depending on the previous hit (whether it was a KO or not)

for rock slide, heat wave etc. the target that is hit first has to faint so that the move hits for 100% power on the second target

earthquake, surf, discharge, lava plume...there has to be a 1on1 (attacker - defender) situation for full power

double battle explosion tests:
- whenever all 4 pokémon one the fiel are alive, the 0.75x modifier is applied
- after one target faints, be it friend (partner) or foe, the 0.75x is not applied on the 1 or 2 pokémon that are hit the same turn after the KO
possible explanation - the game acts as "1 vs 1" after one target faints because the exploder is not taken into account, the game doesn´t care if the "1 vs 1" is partner vs foe or foe vs foe

exploder - lv. 79, 170 attack heatran
P - partner
F1 - foe 1
F2- foe 2

P - 293 defense, 208 speed metagross -> hit first, 68 damage
F1 - 164 defense, 94 speed snorlax -> hit second, 250 damage
F2 - 198 defense, 91 speed skarmory -> hit third, 99 damage

P - weavile -> hit first, fainted
F1 - 164 defense, 94 speed snorlax -> hit second, 299 damage
F2 - 198 defense, 91 speed skarmory -> hit third, 126 damage

P - 293 defense, 208 speed metagross -> hit first, 62 damage
F1 - tentacruel -> hit second, fainted
F2 - 198 defense, 91 speed skarmory -> hit third, 138 damage

F1 - tentacruel -> hit first, fainted
F2 - 164 defense, 94 speed snorlax -> hit second, 295 damage
P - 293 defense, lagging tail metagross -> hit third, 85 damage

Yea I knew that....are the Magmortar and Electivire also breedable? I'm asking because I'm thinking about SRing for them and then possibly use them as parents.

They are normal pokemons, only with a different trainer ID. However, in my opinion it's a complete waste of time soft resetting to use them as parents. Simply spend your time catching some good dittos.

Hey Guys !
I need someone who can learn my Alakazam Signalbeam,
that would be very cool...
pls answer here or pm me

I'm asking because I'm not sure; Is there any legit way to obtain a shiny Manaphy? (I don't think you can get shinies from events, and from what I've heard ranger Pokemon can't be shiny [correct me if I'm wrong]).

has snorlax changed at all in platinum? If so, has he gotten better or worse. Ive loves snorlax since blue and was just wondering how hes doing in the new game.

As it happens, it IS possible (albeit almost impossible) to obtain a legit shiny Manaphy. Apparently, if you download the egg onto one game, then trade it into another and hatch it there, it will have a chance of being shiny, same as anything else. Haven't tried this for myself, though, I've neither the time nor the patience.

That doesn't make sense. Variables aren't shifted around very much during a trade, so I don't see how that could possibly cause a Shiny chance to occur.
