Guess not. When you reset, the Random Number Generator starts again, so you should sweet scent another poké, re-find your seed, etc etc.


And a calculation:

I want to get 03016

03016 / 12 = 251,33333333333333333 = 251
251 * 12 = 3012
251 - 1 = 250 double clicks
4 Coin-toss.

Is this correct?

Hm, it depends! If your shiny is at 3016, actually you've to toss the coin only three times: the fourth one would take you to 3016, sure, but the egg would "be" the 3017th, one step ahead, and won't be shiny.
If the Shiny PID is the 3016th, you've to stop one step before it, at 3015.

If the Shiny PID is the 3017th, yes, 4 coin-toss.

Hm, it depends! If your shiny is at 3016, actually you've to toss the coin only three times: the fourth one would take you to 3016, sure, but the egg would "be" the 3017th, one step ahead, and won't be shiny.

If you want to hit the 200th seed you have to advance from 1 to 199.

12 (initial advancement when changing to happiness app) + 12*15 + 7 = 199.

You might want to recheck your maths and the OP before you use the numbers you came up with. Specifically, I think you plan to double click one to many times.

No idea on the JP program. You can try to get RNG Reporter working on the native version of mono, but I know it doesn't work under the wine version.
 
Well I got another number:

And does a battle matter? Because I Scent under Solaceon town, and those double-battle guys saw me, and the battle started? So is everything screwed up? Or doens't it matter?
 
Ok, that's why it went wrong, because I checked the PID I got fomr the Egg, and it was 12 to much. Ok, going to do it again (I wrote the time and date on a paper =D)

EDIT: So -1 from Coin-toss and -1 for the double-clicks? Am I right?

If you had the friendship checker application open it could have mattered (re-calling after battle to get new trajectories). If it was open the lessonis that you want to open it, double click as many times as you need, and leave it. Without doing pretty much anything when it is open.

Which is something we probably need to test, and make sure of though... For people like me who lose count and miss double clicks I'd like to just go in and out of the daycare or something else like that to advance the thing.

What would be nice with a Jolly nature?

And I think I will write math program so I can enter the frame number and it will output the right numbers =P
 
I can confirm that leaving the coin flip app open does not mess with the RNG unless you actually flip a coin. In fact, leaving it and coming back to it does not change the RNG either.

OK, and I got a Jolly spread at 16:03, but it's now 16:48, is it possible to get the Jolly spread back by changing the time to 16:03?

EDIT: Hmm..I think it's not possible.
 
Possible, but you will need to hit the same seconds and the same delay. I tend to think you'll spend more time trying to duplicate that than you would by just resetting for a new Jolly.

I am going to be editing the OP with some new research questions if anyone is in the mood to take any on, check that in 5 or 10 mins.
 
Ok, and I saw on the Youtube vid that the guy/girl deposit his/her Pokémons to breed after Double-cliking. ell I'm going to do that too. Otherwise I need to concentrate for only one frame, because there is only one Pokémon in the Day-Care.
 
im having trouble downloading the files. Im using a MAC to download the files, can anyone give me instructions on how the get the files working. (they are downloaded but i can't open them because it say they are unreadable)

Edit 2: downloading now and see how it goes.
 
@ Miltonic - For the Japanese program you will probably have to use wine. You're really on your own with all of this, but if you can manage to get it all working and can provide instructions for the rest of the mac users you'd probably be some sort of jobsian hero or something.

They probably did that so that the Day-Care wasn't making more RNG calls by creating more eggs. Not sure exactly what application that could have, though.

About Pal Parking US Emerald into Japanese Platinum: can't be done. Pal Park is region-locked. I know, I've tried. Now, if you had a Japanese Emerald...
