Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

I noticed when trying to get Dialga by catching a pokemon and finding my seed, the steps aren't the only thing that affect the seed, I believe the time does too.
 
@ Lightning - Syberia did a good deal of looking into this last night. Things we don't understand now are changing it. I am not sure we'll ever be able to initial seed catch legends or reset for egg IVs. I think it is going to have to be date/time/delay manipulation.

Not yet. He's saying tomorrow probably.

Wichu already has SVC helping figure out the PID creation of eggs O_o
 
Emerald or Platinum? I know he had SCV trying to help him dechiper Emerald. Also if you have a link to where that conversation is taking place I would appreciate it. I'd really love to get the PID generation built right into RNGReporter, as the whole process could flow easier than having to go through calcpid.

Nah I think if the delay was 707 you hit a valid initial seed. Either one or two things happened, though. You forgot to enter your ID/SID into the boxes in pidcalc OR there were just no shinys within the 30,000 pids that pidcalc shows. Perhaps try again with a new reset/initial seed.

Lol owned. Must be that, I double-checked my ID/SID and all.


EDIT: Ok, what the hell, I tried again and still no shiny PIDs. What's wrong now ?_? The delay was only 604 and all...

And if I don't mark the question button, what's the PID list for? What does it return?



EDIT2: Oh, that box with the "255" was only at "2" with me. I editted it, and the shiny list returned... 1 PID. Heh, better than nothing!
 
For some reason, all my recent eggs have not been shiny like they are supposed to. I wonder why.

Arael, just turn off the game and try again lol

Glad I got my shiny rotom - naive nature. Time to reset for ivs
 
Yes, Careful Eevee. I have perfect Physical Parents in the daycare and got tired of resetting for one closer to home. So fuck it, I am going to do this one.

Also, odds are that I am going to miss a few clicks, so since each egg supposedly takes two calls I'll just hatch about 40 more since 12 is an even number and missing those clicks should not throw me off of the odd / even.
 
That's true. And with fast hatch it shouldn't be too bad. Make sure you save in front of the guy each time though xD

I know that, I thought at first that it was easier with those divisible by 12. But now I see almost nothing changes >_>



So, let me see. The earliest number is 1078. Quotient is 89, remainder is 10. So I have to press the blank space 88 times and coin flip 9 times... But first, I have to put the parents into the DayCare AND change the DS clock back. Seems too easy...
 
Ya know. Lets say that nothing and I mean nothing resets the incubator RNG...

Whats to stop me from getting to 1000, trading a pokemon over to another game, checking the PID against the master list and re-adjusting from there?

If that's truly how things work (in that nothing resets the RNG), the only thing stopping you would be the absurd amount of time all that would take :P

...Well, I got the seed at 01:47, so shouldn't I change the clock back to this time?
