Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Ok, let me try to explain again:

I find the Initial Seed, then I look for shinies (by clicking at the only shinies at the program)
then generate
when it shows the possibilities
what will it show?
nature/the touches i gotta do at the poketch apps/
will it show the IVs that the egg will have?
(I mean, not the ones that it'll inherit from their parents, but the pokemon initial IVs?)

And forgot to thank u for the guide
xD

L-Fusion - yeah we thought about the possible exploitation methods but there's a lot of work to do this time, mingot wants to clear up some of the RNG-reporter's existing features before the next release.

-Dig-Kun : the shinyness and the ivs are set by two different calls of two different RNGs. you don't need to care about the ivs when trying to lock a shiny egg at the daycare

i think thats what was meant on the last post
sorry for this
but not that i wont focus
i wanna good ivs
but i wanna look for them myself, making this just as a shiny "getter"

I just wanted to know if when i generate the IVs will appear
=p

only the one in your area will. Even if you stay north of the old man some NPCs will go in and out of the screen. This means they move even when they're outside the screen but not all the NPC's of the town will be moving...if you look at the couple wakling on a square path south of Solaceon town they will start moving from the same point each time you enter that area, this makes me think that they don't move when they're outside the screen

If that's the case then standing to the left of the man only has the running Buneary, the Pachirisu, and one cowgirl that ever go on the screen unless I'm missing something.

@ Dig-kun - No, sorry. The IVs are determined at a later time.

And to elaborate and help you the future --

Two things really make a Pokemon. The PID and the DVs/IVs. PID determines nature, gender, ability, shine, spinda spots, etc. The IVs are, well, the IVs. When the old man is holding an egg for you only the PID exists at that point. At the instant you take the egg the IVs are created and "squished" together with the PID to create the pokemon. This is a bit of an oversimplification, but all I really want to get across is that there are two stages.

Of course there is other data such as moveset/hold item/etc that are not part of the PID/DV, but those are not really important to us here.

Ok
^^
Thanks a lot

I thought the IVs were determined as well
I'm so happy that it's not
=D

2. Is it just with me that the DS clock gets slower? Could it be because of low battery?

The only thing I can think of with this is that the DS clock seconds reset back to 0 every time you change the time-- I've "lost" about fifteen minutes changing times between Pokemon and Animal Crossing before (since I like to keep ACWW at the actual date/time).

If you mean running slower even when you're not changing the time, though, I've never experienced that.

Bozo experienced something similar with Emerald running slower when the battery was low; might be wise to try to keep it on the charger while you're SRing.

This is beginning to get annoying. My offset had been 6, but lately it's been 3. I waited an extra second before taking the egg this time and it was 4. Maybe wait a little bit longer and it will be 6...

the offset does not depend on time but on the NPC's movements...waiting longer or lesser is not a good idea...you should try to receive the egg as soon as possible when you start the game and then check the offset. If your offset is not stable i.e. it changes everytime you should just save again and restart the procedure. when you find a stable offset search for a spread with that offset.

That is an excellent idea. I waited an extra second and my offset was 27, yikes. I really need it to be stable at 6 though, because a really good spread for my parents appears there at 02:03:14 April 1 with a delay of 622. I could search for a new one I suppose, but first I should verify that offset.

Yay is saved on my first shiny. It was a modest spread, i didn't know what to pick so i just put eevee in there. My parents are 31/19/31/30/31/15 and 28 / 29 / 31 / 30 / 22 / 31. Not the best but it will work. The spread was only 130 taps and 3 coin flips. I recorded the date and time. But i have a question, (maybe it answered in the first post), How easily can i obtain this seed again? Do i have to get my timing down to seconds or just mintues?

Ehhh, ive been requesting for my SID in the simple request thread but no one has helped:( can osmeone help me please? i would REALLY appreciate it:)

I was wonder if there would be a way to quickly advance the RNG rather than tapping. I am going to experiment with different things and see what I come up with .

ok, I'm falling behind on the times. how does one control the IVs, and if there's a post explaining it, then could someone tell me where it is?

Here it is.
From what I see I don't think that is humanly possible to get the timing right at will on a regular basis. I'd recommend sticking to breeding the regular way but maybe somebody will prove me wrong eventually.

I've breed 2 perfects in each in 1 day pretty much.

I had a feeling you'd manage to do this before anyone else. (excluding Jonny who did two proof of concept breeds during his testing)

Has anyone gotten a odd delay? I haven't. It seems weird.

You do mean delay and not offset, correct? I don't really think I have noticed one way or the other, but it that really is the case I'll have to release a new version of the timefinder pretty much ... Now.

So if anyone would like to work on verifying this it would be appreciated after LF confirms that he does indeed mean delay. If he does confirm I will add this to the list of projects along with another item that I will be adding shortly.

Yes I mean delay. I have used odd offsets for both my breeds.
