Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Did anyone managed to get BOTH odd and even delays on the same game? I need someone to confirm.

My game only produces odd delays(617,619 etc). Some people said only get even delays. Is that clearly dependent on each ones game?

That means that I can only work with spreads with odd delays on my game.

Also, it's not hard to predict it. I can get 617, 619 or 621 easily and those are my most common delays.

With that said, you should only target the spreads that have a delay you can hit consistently. For example, I would never go for a spread with a 624 delay because I can never get one.

I'm still trying to figure how to get a consistent offset without going through the "reset-catch a pokemon" phase though.

My diamond only has even delays and I can get 222,224,226,228 every time almost. I will test later on my platinum game what delays it gets, then on my platinum rom.

I only get odd delays.
Maybe it has something to do with your trainer ID/secret ID, as an even or odd ID number determines the fossils you can get aswell.

Opening the Pokedex does not consume any seeds.

I tested this by standing next to the egg man while he has an egg and saving, then resetting and immediately bringing up the menu, then opening and closing the pokedex ten times. I then received the egg and flew to the resort area to catch a Magikarp to calculate my seed, then hatched the egg to determine my offset. My offset ended up being 7, so obviously opening and closing the dex did not advance RNG by one each time. More as I get it, I'll do an arbitrarily large number of pokedex open/closes just to make sure there is no effect.

Updated the OP. It is actually the Journal and not the Pokedex that can advance the seed. Would not hurt to test other functions of the Pokedex, but I do not think it will affect it at all.

Oh? Any information have on this would be appreciated.

@ the Odd/Even - Please keep testing, would be very interesting if we could figure this bit out.

I just got a bunch of evens in a row, then I restarted and waited a bit before pressing continue, got an odd number (1293, if I recall correctly). Will continue to test as I look for a shiny Adamant egg.

I'll recheck my delays, I could swear I've gotten an odd one before but I could be wrong I guess? I'll retest my delay ranges and see. I have Platinum btw.

Also, nothing in the Pokedex advances the RNG. I did every possible option multiple times, and then got an offset of 2. So yeah, nothing.

Mingot, I'm sure about the fossils, but we need some people to test the delays.

What we need is people to post their ID and SID, and the delay they get everytime or most of the time (odd or even).

Maybe we can find some sort of connection by doing this.

It's posted on Serebii; your ID being odd/even determines which type of 4th-gen fossil you can find in the underground. This is only for Platinum, D/P will give you both.

Sure of WHAT about the Fossils? You say that having an odd or even SID changes something, but what exactly? Is there a link you can give me on this?

The fact that the Trainer ID determines wheter you get the Skull, or the Armor fossil.

Correct, this is only for Platinum. However, today I was getting mostly evens, but a day or two I was getting mostly odds, and this is on the same game with the same ID/SID.

Hi
I was testing the RNG thing
But I noticed that the natures are already predetermined, if i want a nature that is (at the list) one of the ones that have more pats
And I dont wanna pat so much
Is everstone gonna work in this?

You really should read the OP carefully. It will be very helpful.
It says in bold characters: An Everstone will not be helpful or necessary. So that would be a no.

I have a question: I read on the front page that Flipping to the Happiness checker advances the IRNG. So, when it says to flip to the Happiness Checker app, does that count as one of your clicks, or do you just keep clicking the amount of times it says?

=\

thanks

Switching to the app does not count as one of the clicks, because the program already takes into account the changing to the app.

maybe if your SID and ID are both odd/even, you can run into either delays, but if your SID is odd and ID is even, you can only run into odd delays and vice versa.

Both of my IDs are odd and I only get even delays, but I don't think there is any significance in that. I just happen to mash A and get even delays.

mingot, it seems to me that one can calibrate their delay\seconds just by hatching eggs at a specific time, finding the egg IV spread and using "Find Adjacent Spreads" to figure out the seconds, delay and offset. All without having to go through catching a Pokemon and figuring out its IVs. Or is there something else I'm missing?

You are right, but people do not know what delay they will hit (590-650) and may get offsets from 1-10 leaving hundreds of possibilities to look through.

WTF I got a 2 coin flip shiny wrong. I got a shiny on my very first try but havent succeded since.
the 0 is supposed to be before the 4 digit SID right?

I have no earthly idea if I'm getting this new stuff right or not, but...

Emerald's god spreads are the same for Diamond, Pearl, AND Platinum?

Do you have to have the paresnts with the right IVs to get certain spreads like the Emerald HP Fight?

Does slot position matter?

Fudge,i forgot wich method do i pick for in diamond,on play you pick plat ID normal. On Diamond and pearl which is it quik someone tell me
Which one out of these is it O.O
Method 1
Method 2
Method 3

Plat PID (international)
Breeding (no splites)
