Wow, that looks fantastic chomzloh! I guess you've noticed it looks a lot more lionish than like a dragon. I would suggest elongating the snout, making the lightning bolts on the back look more wing-like, and maybe changing the mane slightly. I don't know how you could change it, it's one of my favorite parts about it but it is definitely the part that conjurs up the image of a lion in my head that over-shadows the much needed dragon aspect. As for colour I would actually like to see a limish green colour for the hair with yellow/orange highlights. That might help with taking away from mammilian looking and look more dragonish, while also retaining the electric look. For the rest of the body I'm currently unsure, so I'll just say grey.

Wow, just wow. This is amazing; I guess you could try elongating the snout so that it looks like a 'traditional' dragon.

If you tried making the body more serpentlike however imo it'll lose its original appeal. This one just really jumped out at me.
 
Ah, Cyzir, I much prefer your original three headed hydra option. It looks naked without the extra heads. I'm hoping to also see you develop that chinese lion dance dragon further.

And, CactuarJoe, I say this every CAP, but your design kicks ass.

Latest redesign. Further tweaked eyebrows, made the beard more cloudy, and changed belly and spikes to blue.

it hopefully looks more dragon and less hippopotamus right now (but man, his head resembles a huge bull). i decided to move the amp into his belly, but im still waiting for a flash of genius on implanting it since i think it looks kinda out of place.

when posed with the question, "how does this pokemon play music?" doug naturally suggested that "he hangs out with some musical talented ambipoms".

Oh man KoA, that was a perfect change of color. It's awesome now! Also, I kinda agree with Parad, but I don't mind it as much.

Thanks for the comments guys. Hmm... I'll get a few more opinions on the hydra before I come to a decision. Also, I have clean versions of the rest of my designs.

I decided to make the mane part of its head instead of being purely hair.

Okay okay, it isn't that bulky.  But god damn it I like it so I'm going to continue developing it.

Not much changed on this one.  I decided to curve the tips of the horns outwards to remove the 'stag beetle' like appearance.  Also still debating whether to keep the Mjöllnir arms or to shift to Axe arms.
Anywho, as always all comments and suggestions are welcome~
 
Looking good KoA, maybe you could make some more lightning bolt shaped eyebrow things coming out of the chin so they pierce through the clouds?

Sweet Jesus Cyzir, yes please keep developing the velociraptor! Right now that is on of my top fav's, it's excellent!
 
Well, I finally uploaded my sketch to photobucket. I have no idea why my scanner uploads my pictures and makes them the size of a billboard...it's annoying and weird. Anyways, it's very rough. I'm just wondering what you think about the design changes (Bipedal, tail, pose, etc.) and if anyone notices any posture problems.

Gooey - I like the two heads idea, but the hind legs seem too small. A bit more bulk on the body would also seem more...fitting.
And looking at it, it seems that the front two arms are legs, so maybe Quadpedial is better?

I'd work on something but I'm still waiting for my order of new Cintiq pens to arrive =/

It seems like you are going for the Chinese lion look. Could go with the standard blue-black-yellow electric motif that Luxray has, and many of the CAPs here seem to have, or the Yellow-Orange-Red that seems to be an alternate. Neither of these is very creative on my part, however. Honestly, to me it first looked like it would have used the black-blue-yellow scheme, but then it would look just like Luxray. Should consider that idea of lengthening the snout to offset the fur.

I third that notion O_O. Anyways I believe this has reached my top three. Color!

@ KoA: I like the Light (AKA electric) Blue, and you newest design looks like gyarados and zues were involved in a little gene splicing. I think you would be better off not curving the horns however. I feel like it would give it a more electric feel

Quick Update:
I've added more detail to my rough outline, so everyone can see the vague big picture. I've already decided that I should probably make the eyes slightly bigger. Another new addition is the spikes on the head, which I gained from inspiration from a dinosaur called ankylosaurus, which is covered in a bone like armor and has similar bone protrusions on it's head. I also changed the tail, and even though it's nothing much I like it a LOT more. I'm also calling this the "CSD" (Crystal Storm Dragon).

I also made some little back-story details in to this poke:

The "CSD' is a reclusive pokemon, who prefers to make it's home in deep seashore caves. It only ventures outside it's home and territory when they sense a storm through the change of ions in the air. These pokemon use the energy from the storm to recharge the energy filled crystals that adorn their bodies. Sailors commonly watch out for this dragon on the coast to warn them if a bad storm is coming.

Edit: Is there anyone who can offer any tips on shading, I've never been very good at it?

Nice Work! you did a great job with the bipedal front view! Just nitpicking put consider using some image editor to rotate the picture slightly so he doesn't look so off balance.. As for me people were asking me to put ThunderMachineMon on a diet, so I slimmed him down a little. I also fixed his eye so he doesn't look quite so dimwitted.

not a fan of the blue. Maybe try all spikes black, red top, yellow belly? Try a few things and see what you like. At this point all you need is a winning color scheme to get my vote!

This might be interesting - the reason I really loved the red/gray is because it looked like it was made of rubber insulation.

This is the color scheme I'm probably going to go with. I might kick the orange up a bit to make it look more luminous (and the lines on the tail really do need it), but overall I'm pretty happy with it. Whaddya think?

@Cartoons!: Thanks! I'm trying to participate more in these things - the last one stumped me, and the one before that I completely missed. ^^;

That thing looks GREAT. I love the light blue. It works out pretty well, actually.
The mustache looks a bit weird though now.



Also, still looking for color suggestions on my guy...
Anything? I'm thinking a red, for the base color, mixed with green, and a bit of yellow. I'll start attempting to color it in a bit...
Anyone else have any suggestions?

Very sleek design. Looks like it would have to rely on its Ability

I am in F'ing love with the Fat Dragon concept. This thing looks monstrous!
 I don't know how you are going to make this more Electric,
 but damn this could do well!
 
Thanks for that list Exclamation. Its very useful for deciding and comparing, good job.

Also KoA's design is amazing (new color scheme) but i dislike the beard lol, thats just me though.
