Earlier today, I was in the Villa in the Resort Area. I bought one of the couches (I think it was the smaller one) then Lucas (since I use the female character) came in and said something like "Are you sure about that couch? It doesn't seem too appealing to me." Now it seems he hangs out in there. But when I fly to Sandgem Town, he's there, too. I guess the game can put one character wherever it wants to, but that aside, what triggers Dawn or Lucas coming to the Villa?

Also, on a side note, the time on my DS' clock when Lucas entered the Villa was 13:37. lulz.

42.

Also:
If you KO a Pokemon, no matter hwat it is, you get +4 in the specified stat. So the power item for attack would give you +4 attack and +1 speed if you beat a magikarp.

Pokerus still doubles this effect. So if a power item (attack) Pokemon beats a Magikarp you get +2 Speed and +8 Attack EVs.
This isn't true. The power items boost EV gain rather than create it out of nothing. so if you were using the HP one and battled a Magikarp, you would still only get Speed EVs.

This conflicts with everything I have read (never used them, myself) and everything we have on the items.

Reduces Speed 50%.

In addition to the EVs normally gained from defeating an opponent, the holder will also gain 4 EVs in Attack. Pokerus multiplies the final amount of EVs gained by two, so it includes this boost.

Try looking here.

The different people show up at random times. I once met Professor Rowan outside of the villa and he took me inside to look at my bookshelf. Another time, I found him trying to buy Ragecandybars at the Veilstone Department store B1F. ._O I guess the people are more interactive in Platinum (in D/P, I think you could meet your mom in Pokemon contests). XD

Is the IV-related stat gain of any individual poke I have in my box set in stone?
For example, I've got one that I want to use for little cup and rare candied it up to check IVs. At Lv5 its HP was 19 which is what I'm looking for. However, after I SR if I decide to train it up, is there a chance it might end up with 20 HP at level five instead?

Did that make sense?

No, it won't change. The stats are determined by a formula, meaning the stat will only change if you change the input (like adding EVs).

When will the OU tier be recalculated? It has changed last month, and I know it will be a while before it does so again.

If a Pokémon gets intimidated, then Baton Passes out to a Mon with Hyper Cutter, will Hyper Cutter ignore the previous Pokémon's attack drop?

I'll let the numbers talk, using Scarf Heatran:

Code:
HP Ice vs. 4/0 Salamence: 110.84% - 131.33%
Dragon Pulse vs. 4/0 Salamence: 71.69% - 84.34%

HP Ice vs. 4/0 Dragonite: 95.06% - 112.35%
Dragon Pulse vs. 4/0 Dragonite: 61.11% - 72.22%

HP Ice vs. 4/0 Flygon: 121.85% - 144.37%
Dragon Pulse vs. 4/0 Flygon: 78.81% - 92.72%

HP Ice vs. 252/0 Gliscor: 109.60% - 129.94%
Fire Blast vs. 252/0 Gliscor: 70.34% - 83.05%

Why do heatran use HP ice? does Dragon pulse not KO pokes such as salamence and dragonite?

Gliscor mainly, although it takes a nice chunck from Fire Blast.

D-Pulse doesnt KO Dragonite or Salamence without SR, but i think Dragon Pulse is better (Hits Kingdra)

Edit: Beaten!

Magneton has 10 more base speed than Magnezone, which can be helpful in certain situations (none spring to mind honestly). There are a million endeavor abusing base evolutions (Cleffa, Snorunt, Chimchar), though Cleffa is the only notable one. Porygon2 is vastly different from Porygon-z which completely set the two apart (one cannot outclass the other). Pikachu has Light Ball that makes it a lot more powerful than Raichu.

And that's about it I think.
