Anybody a fan of the Pokemon TCG?
Anybody a fan of CAP?

I have been participating in CAP projects since the beginning of Arghonaut, and lurking around there since mid-creation of Fidgit. Some of you may know me. I am also a big fan of the Trading Card Game. Well... I have some customs that I made and I am willing to share them with everyone.

Warning: If you see that I used your Art, your username will be credited on the card, right underneath the Pokedex entry. =)

^This was my first custom I have ever attempted. I think I got it pretty close to what the real card would look like. Arctic Wind isn't really one of Syclant's attacks, I made it up.

^Stratagem was kept a little simple, since his real stats are "to the point" as well.

^I tried my best to make him look like he is popping out of the water, but failed epicly.
His Pokedex entry was made-up.

Kitsunoh

^The original artwork didn't work out. I blurred it too much.
The Pre-evo is Ratsunoh. It looks supposed to like a dark blue rat with a mask similar to Kitsunoh's.

About Kitsunoh:
I know many people have got conflicting opinions about it, but if you were to see the original sketch, and I mean the original sketch (Non-existing), you would have probably thought Brave Bird Kitsunoh would have made sense. Sort of.

Credit for the Pokemon themselves goes to the CAP community.
You don't have to know how to play the game to appreciate my hard work.
 
Syclant one is pretty good but the Rev one has some white around the border of it. You should try to remove it.

Overall they are cool.

I turned on anti-aliased and it turned out better (without much of a white line).

I had to do some digging, but Syclant's height and weight are:

Height: 5' 7"
Weight: 115 lbs

I've updated the EnCAPlopedia, for posterity.
 
Nice, I think the bg for Syclant is rather plain, but the Revvy one looks great.

Also, Syclant actualy has a pre-evo, but no one really got around to what it looks like. (Eric has been tryin to get me to sprite it for like a year though)

I beefed up Syclant's attacks since he is now a Stage 1.
...I think.
I also made his bg a little less plain.
I'm going to get started on Pyroak after school. =)
 
These are AWESOME! I'm a big fan of CAP and the TCG, and these are amazing! Nice job balancing them too. Since Artic Wind uses 2 energy types, you might want to make that attack more powerful, or do something like

Cost 1 grass 1 colorless. 60 damage. If Scylant had any water energy attached to it, blah blah blah.
 
Very nice, fantastic work on these. The only thing I would change is making Syclant "Icicle Pokemon," seems way more appropriate than Arctic imo. Props for making Doug look up the height and weight too =P

I cannot wait to see what you do with Pyroak.


EDIT: @_@ Pyroak is amazing. I'm speechless at what you've done with it.

Questions: Does Pyroak also have a Prevo? I know Rev doesn't.

Also, I need a person to pick whether Fidgit is on a Fighting card or Psychic card, please.

The cards are awesome. ^_^

I think Fidgit should be on a fighting card, since it's Ground/Poison. So technically it would have to be either Fighting or Grass, and the former fits better. Unless there have been some big changes since I stopped buying cards years ago. :P
 
Yes, Poison was moved from the Grass category to the Psychic category.

Added Fidgit and Strata, I hope you like them.

Fidgit ended up Psychic, otherwise I'd have made 3/5 cards Fighting type.

And the rest is just fill-in the blank, I would appreciate any info on prevo names and such.
 
Syclant was a two stage Pokemon where the first was named Syclar (no official artwork, although CyzirVisheen originally intended him as a three stage, and accordingly drew a first and second stage), Revenankh a one stage, Pyroak you'll know all about, Fidgit was a two stage where the first was Breezie, and that has official artwork somewhere, Stratagem was a three stafe, and the one and two stage forms have official artwork somewhere, Arghonaut is a two stage, and his first form has official artwork, and Kitsunoh was one stage.

Took a tad bit of digging, that, but I can probably find the prevo art.

EDIT: Also, if Fidgit becomes a type other than Fighting, wouldn't it be Grass, seeing as Poison turns to Grass in the TCG?
 
Nope. Its Psychic now.

Well you already got Rev/Syclant correct, so I'll skip them.

Flarelm looks like the stage 1 of the Pyroak line, though I can't tell for sure, people never stopped suggesting V_V.

Breezi is the pre-evo of Fidgit.

Arghon is the the pre-evo of Arghonaut.


There was never anything final about Stratagem or Kitsunoh. Tennis ignored it on Stratagem mentioning a Pre-evo Policy Review (which I cannot locate). Mag simply didn't say anything on the matter.
 
The artist who created Stratagem had two un-named prevos, and seeing as no ruling was made, I reckon you could take designer intent there. Aside from what Veedrock said, no names were named.

I also organized the card text a little better, so it not much of an eyesore as I thought it was before.

I knew Strata had two pre-evos since I was lurking around the art thread at the time.
I named the direct pre-evo Tectnique, a cross between Tectonic and Technique. I hope that wasn't made up before by someone else...

I had participated in CAP6, so I know Arghonaut has one pre-evo. I beleive somebody even had a sketch of it somewhere, but thats deep underground.

EDIT: Added Arghonaut. I hope you all like him.
 
Finally added Kit.
The original artwork was too hard to crop so I gave up and made something less frustrating for me to work with. (grrr...)

Now I have nothing to make. (Except CAP8 when its done)

Unless someone really wants Pre-evo cards, too.
 
I love what you did with Kitsunoh, is amazing to just see the eyes glaring at you lol. The moon helps a lot too, and the moves you gave it go perfect with the concept. Good job ^_^
 
lol, Ratsunoh? X) Nice Kit card though.

I personally think Stratagem has a bit too much HP. That card looks broken coupled with the powerful no drawback move.

Um, X-Act made a movepool for Breezi, so at least you have some direction there if you do decide to make it.
