Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

THIS.

it is so much easier to get it done using this.

i used to just keep going until i wanted to take a break, then i'd write down where i was at on notepad or something.

now i just do 100 at a time and it works for me pretty well.

I don't have much shinies bred yet, but I did 1400+ taps for my Rash spread (also another Rash spread 800+ intended for Nidoking, but it hatched with a vagina), and it worked by counting in 20's. Like what Tase said, I used to do everything in one shot....which all failed :(. Doing 100 taps took me 2 minutes.. it was so boring >_<. Make sure you take some breaks in between, or you'll lose focus :P.

I go from start to finish and haven't failed a single one yet. (In 10+ goes)

ok, what i was wondering.

does the egg method work when i use it while getting a manaphy egg from the mailman? (the one from pokemon ranger)

because it would be way easier if i get a shiny one with a nature that is already confirmed. i will only have to reset for good iv's then.

No, Manaphy can't be shiny without hacking it.

On a side note, Shiny Regirock is caught, that makes shiny legend #6 ^^

Manaphy eggs aren't generated like normal eggs. They also have a different algorithm - one that deliberately does not produce shiny Pokemon. The algorithm will avoid PIDs that will be shiny with the game's ID\SID.

There's a workaround for that, though. You can trade it to a game that has a different ID\SID, one that will be shiny with the egg's PID. But we don't know how to manipulate the PRNG to target Mystery Gift Pokemon yet.

Maybe ID i dunno >.< sorry

Hey, would it be a good idea for someone to get a single post where it shows some common natures for pokes, i this would be helpful for RNG shiny abuse?? Just an idea

I entered these options:

Delay: 600-610
Method J
Max. Offset: 71
IV's: 31/x/31/31/31/31
Year: 2046
Synch nature: Timid
Nature: Timid

No results

Open the capture timefinder, and click generate. Right click on any spread and generate times. Paste the seed in and click generate. That will give you a list.

I am going to replacing that entry with a link to the spreadsheet with the spreads I generated and those will only have seeds and not date times.

I am also adding a button to the main page of RNG Reporter to go straight to the function where you can input a seed and find a time so you don't have to "fake it" by going through the time finder.

Thanks ^^

Btw, I ran out of SR targets, so far I got: Heatran, Dialga, Palkia, Shaymin, Regigigas, Regirock (6th try), Registeel (2nd try) and Regice (1st try).

Looks like I don't have any problems getting the right delay anymore xD

Can you confirm that the regis were all Method J? Imagine so, but it was not 100% verified and I would like to make a note if it is now.

Yes, all of them, including Gigas, are J.
Also, their offset was 2, I suppose it's 1 when no Pokemon is roaming.

@Vlie: No, I already caught them in the storyline, same goes for Giratina.

I was wondering, can we get the 3 birds shiny aswell?
I'm a bit confused about the 15 RNG calls as mentioned in the OP.

If so, I suppose only one will be shiny?

Some shiny spreads repeat for in the same seed for different frames so maybe you could get them all.

Moltres if frame 1, Zapdos frame 6, and articuno frame 11.

If you search method 1 for a shiny spread, see if the same frames for the same spread come up, if you know what I'm saying.

Oh yeah, if you have your Pokétch opened at that roaming map, Moltres'll be frame 8, Zapdos 13, and Articuno 18. Once I clear my game (again), I'll see if there's anything else that advances them.

Hrm, interesting thing is that each wandering Pokemon being loose usually generates an RNG call at game start. So with all of the birds released the usual offset for any legend should be at least 3 if the other wanderers are not released. I'd forgotten about these guys.

Also, did you check to see if having the map open just advanced the RNG in general, with or without runners up?

Why does my offset fluctuate so much? I s just run through the grass to catch the poke. I did 5 tests
In order of offset seconds delay
41/1/618
264/1/606
66/1/614
11/1/612
218/2/614

Hmm, no. I was just paying attention to the PRNG. Yet another thing to pay attention once I clear the game.

i was going to point this out and say that it would amazing if we could

it's for sr'ing eggs

Egg IVs or shiny eggs?

Either way, these look like offsets from the seed finder which are not helpful or what you are looking for when resetting for IVs. It's common for people to think they need to use these for some reason. I don't know why, though.

Something I was wondering: does everyone here use international parents when going for a shiny egg? Whenever I've looked at my spreads in both normal and international, the international list looked to be longer and different. Should I consider switching to international parents?

I've had 7 shinies so far, being Omanyte, pursuit Aerodactyl, curse Snorlax, pain split Duskull, Staryu, Heracross and Horsea, by the way. Duskull in particular is awesome, being pretty much flawless for trick room.
