Well I thought I was leaving pokemon, but I can't now.

Lol I'm one of the few Chikorita/Bayleef fans, Meganium is meh, I might just go play through Crystal.

Oh man, I can't wait for this. I was planning on quitting Pokemon this fall due to college, which is coincidentally when this is supposed to be released, but I'm very tempted to get this when it comes out. Totodile is SO awesome and he's like my favorite starter of all times. I'm looking forward to these remakes. ^_^
 
So wait, those titles are 100% the real deal? I really wanna be anti-conformist and say I'd get heart gold but lugia is better and i like soul (I would bet that the titles are going to change for the american release though)

For better or worse is th question, Cardio Gold and Spector Silver -_-.
 
I really hope they'll expand the Kanto part of the game, considering it was pretty much limited to gym leaders only because of the GB cartridge limitations.
 
Well, Heart Gold has the whole "heart of gold" thing going about it. I do like the Ho-oh and Lugia twist on the logos...

So with this confirmation, who is now wondering how exclusive things from G/S/C will be implemented to remain compatible with D/P/Pt? By this I mean things like Apricorn Pokeballs, holdable items such as the Ragecandybar, etc...

Then there's making it a loyal remake but using 4th gen stuff. How are Red Gyarados' nature and IVs, evolutions such as Yanmega and Mamoswine, daily berry trees, and others going to be adapted for 4th gen?

But honestly, the GSC series has the biggest place in my heart out of all the games. Totodile, here I come!
And does this mean we're going to have more chances to catch Ho-oh and Lugia in game, as well as those elusive Legendary dogs? 0:

I'm probably going to stick with Silver~
 
In other words, this is going to be another game like Ruby, Diamond, etc. but for the DS along w/ a remake?

No. This is going to be like Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green. It will be for DS and instead of Red/Blue, it will be based on Gold/Silver.
 
Oh man i actually love the names :) i'm not sure which one i would get.

I loved the Fire red/Leaf green remakes, and i'm sure i will love these as well(more than the actual 4th gen) . I'm all for these old games, GSC was the top of Pokemon popularity imo.

thats because my birthday is in march.

jokes aside, Im looking forward to getting Soul Silver (not just because it has a better name, i like lugia more than ho-oh). And i think i'll start with cyndaquil again, just like last time. =] Really looking forward to the game hehe
 
I would seriously love it if Nintendo could make the US version alongside the Japan version...seriously, it can't take as fucking long as they say to translate stuff, especially when you have the original GSC text out there, which this version will likely rehash.

But yeah, Fall in Japan, not expecting this till at least Summer 10 here...guess I'll have to contend myself with Bioshock 2 this fall.
