My Old Team Really Centered Around The calm Minding Jirachi as it's Core, with a CB Heracross that would Go Crazy Usually and a Mixed ape as Back up. As i tried the new Team on Shoddy I realzied CB heracross is just not good anymore...Infernape can't stand up to The most Common Latias And Swampert just opened me up to a mix Ape Sweep....

So This is what i came up with...I need real help but first lets get into the team.

The Lead/Physical Wall

swampert.png

Mud water The Swampert@leftovers
nature: relaxed
EVs: 252 HP/ 252 Def / 4 SAtk (sp. atk investment was for chomp iirc)
-stealth rock
Ice Beam
-earthquake
-roar

It was Donphan but both of these pokemon just seem to die on to my dismay. Swampert does set up SR and manage to help out my team more.

The Physical Hitter
scizor.png

Pepsi The Scizor @ Choice Band
252 HP/252 ATK/4 Def
U-Turn
Pursuit
Superpower
Bullet Punch

After looking through out the Metagame and seeing this little beauty beat my ass consistantly i thought why not try one out for the first time. He is a great scouter and pokemon that does wanders...I have to get some more used to using this pokemon because i can't really predict with it and i don't like spamming U-Turn lol. But as i go on Scizor will do Wanders.

The Wall Breaker
salamence.png

Patron The Salamence
Mild @ Leftovers
84 Atk / 216 SpA / 208 Spe
Draco Meteor
Outrage
Fire Blast
Earthquake

This Salamence ensures i cannot be stalled out which i hate very much. Even with Stealth Rock he wil Kill either a physical Wall or Special Wall everytime which i desperately need. This Salamence is used to Open up games and phaze which people can't seem to understand.

The Super Star

jirachi.png

Champagne the Jirachi
Timid @ Leftovers
252 HP / 80 SpA / 176 Spe
Sub
Calm Mind
Thunderbolt
Flash Cannon
This is Really the guy who sweeps most teams and cleans everything up. WE POP CHAMPAGNE!!!!! lollll . Flash cannon for Tyranitars, theres nothing now that i think can stop this thing, unless you Swampert Roar it.

The Special Op/Tank
cresselia.png

Green Tea the Cresselia
252 HP / 60 Def / 44 SpD / 152 Spe
Bold @ Light Clay

Psychic
Reflect
Lunar Dance
Light Screen
I need some type of extra trick up my sleeve...and someone who willl put me wayyy over the top. This tricky little number Counters my Mix aple problem with Psychic while giving me the Screens that can really help me CAlm Mind up or Sweep otherwise.

The Cleric/Speical Wall
blissey.png

Ginger Ale the Blissey
Calm @ Leftovers
252 Def / 80 SpA / 176 SpD

Aromatherapy
Thunder Wave
Seismic Toss
Soft boiled

This is my Speical wall, Aroma Therapy thing too. It just Aromas and gets out. It's Vital I keep Blissey alive Because it walls so many Threats and kills so many things because they don't expect ice beam toss.

Well i just need some help because i'm so outdated i just need some general help since i just upgraded this team..

Donphan is not a good lead in my opinion, faster leads like Azelf and Aerodactyl will taunt it (though the latter must beware of ice shard) while slower bulky leads will still beat it 1vs1, just to mention a few: Infernape will set up its SR and ohko with a blazed fire blast, Heatran will 2hko with fire blast while surviving the EQ with the shuca berry, Swampert will ohko with hydro pump. If you want a slow, bulky lead which may also serve the role of physical wall later in the match, I suggest to use the standard Swampert:

Swampert@leftovers
nature: relaxed
EVs: 240 HP/ 216 Def / 52 SAtk
-stealth rock
-hydro pump
-earthquake
-roar / protect

This pokemon is better than Donphan in almost everything, barring rapid spin. And ice shard will not be a great loss since you'll revenge DD dragons with Scizor quite easily. In the last slot you may choose protect for raandom explosions by the likes of Metagross\Azelf and to scout for some trickers (Jirachi\Rotom to mention a few), or roar for scouting and blocking stat-uppers like Gyarados (barring taunt variants).

You didn't mention Scizor's item, but I'm quite sure you wanted to give it a choice band, and by the way, that's the item it should carry.

Speaking of items, Salamence wants a life orb or it will miss the raw power required to break common walls like Swampert and Vaporeon. Also, consider giving it a rash nature because thanks to intimidate it can switch on most physical neutral or resisted attacks quite easily.

Your team is quite weak to Lucario: Salamence can switch in once, but on the second switch it will be KO'd by a +1 life orb'd extremespeed with SR down. If you're keeping Cresselia only for Infernape, then consider replacing that pokemon with a bulky Gyarados:

Gyarados@leftovers
nature: adamant
Evs: 156 HP / 108 Atk / 100 Def / 144 Spe
-dragon dance
-waterfall
-stone edge
-taunt

or if you want an even more defensive set, run a sleep talk Gyara:

Gyarados@leftovers
nature: impish
EVs: 252 HP / 224 Def / 32 Spe
-dragon dance
-waterfall
-rest
-sleep talk

Note that I'm suggesting Gyarados even because it's a great check to CB Scizor which is a real pain for your team and Cresselia makes this weakness even more evident. Like Cresselia, Gyarados also checks Infernape (barring the rare thunderpunch variants) perfectly.

On Blissey I would use toxic over ice beam: toxic allows you to beat Latias (barring Refresh variants) which, otherwise could set up on you with calm mind and recover, and laso bulky waters (like Vaporeon) which have recovery moves, not to mention the Rotom formes. I'm sure I'm forgetting something but I hope you get the point.

Good luck!

I strongly suggest you run Ice Beam on Swampert. Much more useful against Dragons. Gyarados if you choose to use it will also help you beat Heatran. On the subject of Lucario i dont think its really a problem for this team as after the defense drops from CC both Scizor and Jirachi will beat it.

I also suggest you change Cresselia to a Jolteon, what why Jolteon?, you are likely asking.

Jolteon helps you take on many of the threats to this team it also a good wall breaker and should enable Jirachi to more easily sweep. I suggest you run this set.

Jolteon @Life Orb
Timid
252sp.atk / 252spe

Charge Beam
Thunderbolt
HP grass
Shadow Ball

Importantly this set beats some of the better counters to your Jirachi like Swampert and Celebi. It also outspeeds and severely damages some of the tams problems like the majority of Gyarados after a DD and it also pounds Suicune with STAB Thunderbolt. It also helps against Infernape and Togekiss. I strongly suggest you choose this :)

This would be your new team.

Swampert / Salamence / Jirachi / Scizor / Jolteon / Blissey

Good Luck

Agreeing that Swampert should replace Donphan. Donphan's only advantage is Rapid Spin, but Swampert makes up for that by being a better all-round pokemon.

I actually had Donphan in there to Rapind spin away most SR problems so Salamence can get in Clean and get a Clean 11 Shots. But i could Try Swampert again what EVS/SET would i use?

I'm gonna try Cress for a bit...But the Jolteon suggestion has definatly been taken to heart because i love using it.

Perhaps i could get a real Lead???

Glad to hear you want to use Jolteon i think it would definitely be a good addition to the team.

OK Swampert is a "real Lead" and its very effective.

THis is the set I suggest you use.

Swampert@leftovers
nature: relaxed
EVs: 252 HP/ 252 Def / 4 SAtk (sp. atk investment was for chomp iirc)
-stealth rock
-hydro pump / Ice Beam
-earthquake
-roar / protect

Hydro Pump can be good but i prefer being able to get the super effective hit against Salamence, arguably the biggest threat in OU. Roar or Protect is a case of whether you want to scout the opponent and Protect can block explosions if you predict right as well as scout trickers.

I dont really think you need a rapid spinner for Mence to really be totally effective and donphan is definitely not a good rapid spinner in the OU tier. What i suggest, if you want Mence to stick around for longer, is that you change it to the Classic MixMence set, the key difference between the two sets is roost. Roost ensures you can keep terrorizing your foes.

Salamence @Life Orb
80 Atk / 252 SpA / 176 Spe
Rash

Draco Meteor
Fire Blast
Brick Break
Roost

This set is slightly less effective than your current set and more prediction reliant. You will battle with Heatran without prior damage as well. I dont really think its entirely neccessary you change Salamence to this set even though you dont have spin support but its certainly an option if you want the longevity.

As Much as i love Jolteon, Cresselia is doing so well for me, the Duel screens make Jirachi near unstoppable. And i managed to get 4-6, 6-0's Thanks to it. So for now i'm keep it.

The Salamence thing has been killing me lately as it's also so slow that it lost to a Rotom h which made me pissed, I kinda want to change him to Kingdra....

The only suggestion I have is making the blissey a wish bliss.
Wish bliss is very effective in that it can help to recover your other pokemon's health, or you can use it in advance to heal yourself.

Wish will also allow you to get more hits out of your Life Orb pokemon, which I believe should be salamence. You may, however, have a difficult time getting salamence in after a wish. A good opportunity would be on a fighting-type move which is common against blissey anyways.

The Salamence thing has been killing me lately as it's also so slow that it lost to a Rotom h which made me pissed, I kinda want to change him to Kingdra....

If you want to use Kingdra i suggest one of these sets.

name: Bulky Dragon Dance
move 1: Dragon Dance
move 2: Waterfall
move 3: Outrage
move 4: Substitute
nature: Adamant
item: Leftovers / Lum Berry /
evs: 184 HP / 208 Atk / 116 Spe

Bulky Sub version this works great with screens. Beware of Phazers though.

Offensive Dragon Dance
move 1: Dragon Dance
move 2: Outrage
move 3: Waterfall
move 4: Draco Meteor / Hydro Pump / Ice Beam
nature: Naughty
item: Life Orb
evs: 252 Atk / 24 Sp.Atk / 232 Spe

Offensive version outspeeds more and does more damage.

I would probably go with Bulky as it works superbly with screens but its up to you.

Note Kingdra isnt that fast but it has great bulk and will live through a lot. I reccomend you dont run a +speed nature to outspeed rotom because it not worth the lack of offensive power.

Doesn't Kingdra have some type of Mixed Varient? <_<

move 1: Dragon Dance

move 4: Draco Meteor / Hydro Pump / Ice Beam

How is that not mixed? There is a rain Dancer but i dont think that really fits well into this team.

ooohhh I spaced on that...Yeah that's the one i want. I'm gonna to try Salamence a bit longer but Kingdra seems like it could Sweep alot more.
