I believe your frame always starts at 1.
*EDIT* oh wait, didn't realise what SS meant, no you are right.
 
Try hitting that frame on a random seed and see if you get it or not, and see what you have to do to adjust. Maybe, SS on water is 2 and we just had bad info.
 
Oh. I figured it out now. I am so stupid. I was looking at everything to make sure I did it right, and I realized it said 0-23. I changed it to the time on a 24 hour clock and it worked. Thanks =P

So if my target frame is 651:

-I subtract three for my first and only Sweet Scent on the water
-Then divide 648 by 2 to get 324 Journal Flips? :0

Does that sound right? :< Don't want to flip 324 pages only to find out that I grossly miscalculated, lol.

Alright, I'll test by finding a random initial seed and Sweet Scenting to capture the first Pokemon on the water :x
 
@RiddlinKid: Make sure you're putting in the right date/time that's on your DS. If you've been abusing for IV's then it may be that you didn't change back the date/time/year and that's why it's not working.
 
Wow, I got lucky. Hit my 596 delay on the first try :>

Sweet Scenting on the water confirmed to advance the RNG by 3 (not considering what happens afterwards, which is another story).

I generated first by DPPt Egg (Normal) to find my delay coin flips, then generated the same seed in Method J. My Journal came up with a defeated pokemon on it, so I started from two. Sweet Scented, got the exact same spread that was on frame 5.
And with that, I know how to catch my wild Pokemon now. Thanks, guys. :0

Delay 680, here I come~ 1.3 seconds more than normal, yay. x(

Ok guys, apparently you don't believe me but I promise that I have the date/time in correct. I change the minutes/hour depending on what it is when I go into the game (I have the time synched with an external clock). The current date on my ds is 6/16/2009 from some other time I was breeding, and that is what I am inputting for the date.
 
Ok, please read what I have posted before responding with questions and advice that does not help whatsoever. I HAVE DONE THIS BEFORE. Correct hour format? Is that really your advice? My time is not wrong, my date is not wrong. My ID and SID are not wrong. Everything is correct about the egg. I even checked the next two eggs and they were exactly what they were supposed to be. Everything was correct besides it being non-shiny. For some reason I guess my international breeding is not working as it should? I dunno, I'm going to try using the same parents but just use the regular egg PID method and see if I can get a shiny using that. Like I said, this is the first time I've ever tried the international breeding to find more shiny spreads, and this is the only time I've ever had trouble finding a shiny egg.
 
I've read Sephirona's posts about getting a somewhat flawless wild pokemon spread but, my question is if someone could explain to me the whole method for both land, and water? It will be much appreciated:D

My own delay method got me the same Gyarados three times while fishing with a Timid Sync, and two of the same Shellder with the same Sync .-. This is baffling. I'm still tweaking myself up to delay 681, but this is just in between.

Is there any fishing RNG information yet? I remember someone wrote something about the different RNG calls during fishing a few pages back, but I didn't really try it at the time. This is interesting. Same exact frame, same exact delay, same exact time that the fish gets hooked. *_*

Something about what you are saying does not really make sense. When international spreads are generated each time a PID that would normally appear is NOT shiny it manipulates the number three times in an attempt to end up with a shiny PID. The nature is scrambled, so I tend to think this is a case where it would have been shiny, even without, international parents.

Anyhow.

Do another run and give me ALL, and I do mean ALL information.

Your initial seed, what you plugged in to find it, what frame your shiny spread was on, what the next few eggs were, your SID, your ID. And make sure to actually keep the pokemon you expected to be shiny, I will probably want it.

Ok, I'll do that now. Thanks mingot. So you're saying do it with the same international parents (Syberia's ditto and my own parent)?
 
Ok, here is the summary of what I did:

- ID 63660, SID 50586
- Saved in Rt 229 w/5 pokemon in party, App before Happiness checker showing
- Turned on game
- Recorded date 6/16/2009, time 22:09
- Sweetscent, catch level 50 Female Roselia
- Modest Nature, Alert to Sounds, Stats - 117/66/54/119/85/80
- Enter into Initial seed by stats, find Initial seed 79160264, 16 seconds 603 delay
- Select DPPt Egg PID (International), check Shiny Only box, Any ability and Any nature, Generate
- @ frame 257 there is a Gentle male shiny w/ability 1 for 20 double taps and 4 flips
- Switch to happiness app, complete 20 double taps
- Switch to coin flip app, complete 4 flips
- Fly to Solaceon Town, grab parents (Syberia's Japanese Ditto and my Electrike) from computer, deposit into daycare
- Ride bike until egg is generated, pick up the egg from the daycare man. Also pick up the next 4 eggs as they are generated.
- Hatch the eggs:

1) Gentle, Ability 1, M - Not shiny
2) Calm, Ability 1, F
3) Quiet, Ability 1, F
4) Mild, Ability 1, M
5) Lonely, Ability 1, M
 
Ok I did that using DPPt Egg PID (International), shiny only, I got shiny spreads: gentle @ 257, lax @ 1850, gentle @ 6387, adamant @ 11857.....
 
EDIT: Actually, rechecking it does.

Please let me know if you can trade me a copy of the monster.

Also, what version of RNG Reporter, I did not see that.

I'm using the most recent, 5.20. I'll trade it to you if you give me a few minutes. Thanks a ton for your help by the way.

You entered your trainer ID into RNG Reporter incorrectly.

If you were mean to anyone who asked you to verify this, you might want to make some sort of amends :P

Wowwww.....shoot me now. I'd like to apologize to anyone I forced to read all my bs on the last 2-3 pages, and anyone who tried to help me out. This is what you call an epic fail. I think this calls for a break from my DS.

well i have a question about this. well im on my lapptop right now. why will the rng reporter open up on my desktop. (Dell) but not my laptop (toshiba)
 
Killa Kid, why don't you just make a post saying "sprinkle problem solving magic dust on me:? Outside of your brand names, you give us no tech specs regarding your computers.

On a separate note, is it wise to try Time Finder-ing this shiny spread through Method J:

(JOLLY, ability 0) 24/30/31/31/30/31 (Seed: 1c150277 Frame: 13012) HP GHOST 69 !!!

Disregarding the fact that I'd need to do 6k+ Journal flips. I don't think my RNG Reporter would be very pleased about this job. Any chance of it crashing on me? .-.
 
If you already have a seed you don't need to use timefinder...

Put the seed into the main window of the program. Select Method J (use a synch nature) and click generate. Find the frame(s) of the spread on method J. Use seed to time to get a target time.

And no, unless you put in a VERY small delay range it would probably take forever and a day. Wichus program is honestly much better at doing searches. It takes a long (but reasonable) amount of time to run, no matter what you are looking for, whereas narrow searches in timefinder can be completed more quickly. But then wichues program always takes the same amount of time. timefinder, when searching to large a range can take a LONG time.
