"You killed Kenny!" "You Bastards!"

Introduction
Hey everyone, Rezon here again for a new RMT. This is fairly similar to my other RMT but I didn't get all the rates that I needed to make my team better. This time I decided to show a team building process with how this all got started. So here we go.

The Lead
260.png

Swampert (Neptune) w/ Leftovers
Nature: Relaxed
Ability: Torrent
Evs: 240 HP/ 52 SpA/ 216 Def
Moveset:
Stealth Rock

Ice Beam
Earthquake
Roar/Surf

Good ol' MixPert. Stealth Rock is his main move here as that is his primary job. Ice Beam hits those pesky Dragons, Salamence in particular. Earthquake is for STAB. I use Swampert because of this STAB so that he can take down Metagross leads. Also 2HKOs all Tyranitar. Roar would be used to stop Baton Pass chains and to stop sweepers from setting up while Surf would be for STAB and so I don't get walled by Bronzong.

Special Sweeper
94.png

Gengar (TheJoker) w/ Life Orb
Nature: Timid
Ability: Levitate
Evs: 252 SpA/ 252 Spe/ 6 Def
Moveset:
Shadow Ball
Thunderbolt
Focus Blast
Energy Ball

Shadow Ball is a staple on any Gengar as the STAB with it brings it 120 base power. Thunderbolt handles Gyarados. Focus Blast hits incoming Blissey and Tyranitar though normally I'll switch right out from Blissey. Energy Ball is for those pesky waters like Vaporeon, Milotic and Swampert.
The Revenge Killer
Magnezone.png

Magnezone (WannaHug??) w/ Choice Scarf
Nature: Naive
Ability: Magnet Pull
Evs: 36 Atk/ 252 SpA/ 216 Spe
Moveset:
Thunderbolt

Flash Cannon
Hidden Power [Ground]
Explosion

My revenge killer. Thunderbolt is for STAB. Flash Cannon is also for STAB and hits Rock and Ice types for me like Tyranitar and Mamoswine. Hidden Power Ground lets me OHKO incoming Heatran for a nasty surprise. Explosion is there as a finisher move. I'm trying to find a good replacement for here. maybe PorygonZ?

The Ninja
212.png

Scizor (Skull) w/ Life Orb
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Technician
Evs: 40 Hp/ 244 Att/ 224 Spe
Moveset:
SwordsDance
Bullet Punch
Brick Break
X-Scissor/Roost

I prefer him over Choice Band Scizor and SD Lucario for 2 reasons. 1. He has more power and more reliablity then CB Scizor. 2. Hes more bulky then SD Lucario. The Evs allow me to attack with Life Orb 10times and survive. Sword Dance boosts it's already high attack stat. Bullet Punch is for priority. STAB Technician Bullet Punch is powerful. Brick Break gets rid of Light Screen and Reflect for me while hitting things like Umbreon and Blissey as well. Roost is to heal back the damage from Life Orb while X-Scissor would be for extra STAB.

Gallade say What?
Gallade.jpg

Gallade (FEAR) w/ Lum Berry
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Stead Fast
Evs: 252 Atk/ 252 Spe/ 6 Def
Moveset:
Swords Dance

Close Combat
Ice Punch
Night Slash

After a Swords Dance he is near unstoppable. Close Combat is for Primary STAB. 2HKOs Skarmory and Forretress while OHKOing Blissey, Snorlax, Tyranitar etc... Ice Punch hits the Dragons...HARD! Night Slash hits pokemon like Gengar, Azelf and Dusknoir for a OHKO after an SD. Lum Berry is to prevent burns and paralysis mostly

Physical Sweeper
salamence.png

Salamence (UbaDragon) w/ Yache Berry
Nature: Naive
Ability: Intimidate
Evs: 252 Att/ 80 SpA/ 176 Spe
Moveset:
Dragon Dance
Outrage/Dragon Claw
Earthquake
Flamethrower

Yache Berry over Life Orb because I would rather have survivability then power. Dragon Dance allows a future sweep. Aaa the choice of the two great Dragon moves has been there ever since the beginning of Platinum but Outrage has always won. The only reason I would choose Dragon Claw over Outrage is so Skarmory, Metagross, Forretress or any other Steel doesn't completely wall me. EArthquake hits any land Steels that think they can stop my Outrage. Fire Blast hits Forretress for an OHKO and Skarmory for a 2HKO. This thing can cause so much havoc that it's hilarious when it comes right down to it. I'm not planning on changing much.

NOTE: I am currently looking for a replacement for Magnezone. Please aid me on this. I was thinking some sort of special attack special wall? (NOT BLISSEY!!!)

Thank You

Tentacruel could work well as a replacement over Magnezone. He could also set up some nifty Toxic Spikes if you wanted.

Honestly, your Gallade just seems like an inferior SDLuke. Explain to us why you went with Gallade instead of Lucario? Luke can even learn Bullet Punch as a priority move like you have, and it has STAB too.

I chose Gallade over Lucario because everyone seems to have a counter to Luc. I mean this way it's more of a surprise factor

Ok, I have a few changes to make, let's start from the top...

Swampert is fine. I dislike Mixpert in favor of a pure physical variant, but if you like him, go ahead.

Gengar is fine.

Magnezone is fine. But you mentioned that you wanted a special dude, so I would suggest Latias. If you want revenge, use a Choice Scarf variant. But your team may benefit from the use of the Dual Screen, as it is overall a frail and offensive team.

Scizor should be a Choice Bander. Simple as that, especially since you have another dude for your Swords Dance duties.

If you decide Latias, you have no reason not to use Lucario, as the two have great synergy together in terms of typing, and Latias can be used as Pursuit bait for Lucario, who can proceed to set up with screens. If you like Gallade, go ahead and use him, but perhaps rethink Latias, as it will lessen your synergy.

Salamence is fine. Perhaps consider a Mixmence, but it's fine as is.

Off topic: Xephyr is one to talk... with a Gallade avatar!

For Gengar, you want Hidden Power Fire > Energy Ball. Thunderbolt handles Water-types well enough and HP [Fire] nails Scizor, who would OHKO with Bullet Punch.

Porygon2 would be a nice replacement over Scizor; decent SpA with BoltBeam and Tri Attack, plus an ability that makes it a top-notch counter to DDers (Salamence and Gyarados).

Everything else looks fine.

Lol, Gallade is awesome, it's just his Gallade seems like a wannabe Lucario.

The problem Swampert has with Metagross leads are the rare TrickScarf Gross but especially explosion. Many Metagrosses use Explosion as soon as they see Swampert (in my experience, or at least after they've put up SR). My suggestion thus would be to use Protect in the last spot. It prevents you from being tricked a scarf. If Gross used SR first turn, he almost surely will try to explode on you, so switch to Gengar. The ProtectSwampert / Ghost strategy as worked out brilliantly for me so far.

I agree with Xephyr. If you don't want to use an inferior Lucario, you could try a dual status Gallade. He's great at it. He can utilize Hypnosis, Wow, and Twave. I don't suggest using all three though. In fact, Wow and Twave might be a good assest to you. Since you lack a good status abuser.

For Gengar, you want Hidden Power Fire > Energy Ball. Thunderbolt handles Water-types well enough and HP [Fire] nails Scizor, who would OHKO with Bullet Punch.

If Scizor would OHKO Gengar with a priority move, I don't see why it'd be worth having a non-priority move to OHKO it back. One would be relying on prediction to pull it off effectively. In fact, Hidden Power Fire doesn't even make Gengar a Scizor check.

Thunderbolt + Energy Ball is kinda redundant, yes, so I'd suggest running Hidden Power Ice to revenge kill non-DD Salamence. It'd be more useful than what you already have. Alternatively, you could run Psychic to deal with the occasional Machamp and Heracross, but a Life Orb Gengar's Psychic doesn't OHKO Machamp and most Heracross would outspeed you thanks to their Choice Scarf (and unless they were locked on a move that could actually hurt Gengar, they'd switch out anyway).

Thinking of making some changes...

Making Gallade an Anti-Lead

Gliscor > Swampert
Kingdra > Salamence
MixVire > Magnezone
Snorlax > ???

Also thinking of adding Tangrowth

What do you all think?

I think those drastic replacements may be un-necessary for the most part. I think Swampert is a competent lead and really gives this team some nice support with Roar and SR. Emerald Blaze made a great point in making Gallade a Dual Support set. This makes him not only more original, but it allows Magnezone or whichever Mixed Sweeper you choose to sweep. I do understand the idea of Gallade being more suprising than Lucario, so I respect your reasoning if you decide to keep that set.

In regards to Zone, I don't see Mixvire being better in it's place. I know it's cliche to use a Water Pokemon such as Vaporeon to attract electric moves to activate Electivire's Motor Drive, but it works. With other powerful Physical attackers on your team, Vire wouldn't need to be mixed and then Magnezone hits well on the special side and he's great against Scizor. I'd stick with Magnezone if I were you.
