Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

So far every time I've been trying to get frame 9 I've gotten frame 8- fifteen times. What I'm doing to increase the frame is going back to a journal page that is 4 flips backwards to where it first says I last captured a pokemon so I've been using that, flipping back and forth to it twice to increase my frame by 4 so this gives evidence that my starting frame before any of the journal flips is frame 4. Anymore help?

yeah I'm still getting the even frame 8:(

Edit: Will try year change if continuously get frame 8.

Edit2: I changed the year down 1 to increase the frame by 1 but, I'm still getting frame 8?

You got everything wrong.

The GBA trick, and the year trick, is to change the DELAY, not the frame.

Yeah, frame is really annoying to change. I usually just go out, battle some random pokes, maybe go on the GTS, mess around in the box, etc. It usually gives me a new one. Also, I found out for the GBA trick that it seems like putting it in changes it and also taking out changes it back, but I'm not 100% positive.

Yeah I changed the year again to try and change it but, to no avail and thanks for the help pehu and COKTAL.

Edit: Don't NPCs increase the frame by 1?

For some reason, the RNG by Mingot on my computer (which is not a MAC) never seems to work when I use the Time Finder. It works when I find the initial seed, using methods to find Shiny Pokemon, but never for the Time Finder.

Is there a problem with my computer, or is there some FireWall blocking it? I tried the Time Finder on TWO computers, and they both failed to work for the Time Finder.

Ok I'm having a small problem. My good frames are odd numbers 1,3,5 ect but my frame keeps landing on evens.

So how do i hit my odd frames?

Lol so up until. this point i have just been advancing the date untill i get a good even frame:)

Actually Vaporeon, taking out a GBA game and inserting it changes your delay from even to odd or vice versa. You frames are affected by NPC movements mostly.

Just keep re-saving. You will eventually get an odd frame.

Or you could just search for a higher frame spread by increasing you search by two frames in RNG Reporter and then using journal flips to increase that frame.

Hey, I've been having a very frustrating time with breeding my Pokemon with the choice spread I want. After a few days of not being able to get it, I figured I could use some help.

So, I've been trying to breed a Horsea and I've been able to find my seed, match the IV spread with frame 5, which is the frame I get most easily, and used this seed to generate spreads. I've been able to land on some spreads, but never the one I've wanted. Eventually my computer froze and I lost the spreads I had been working on. I believe I was not hitting the frames right anyway, which I figured out after starting the process over. I found the spread I wanted again, which was on an earlier date, 06 07 2009, 17:00:14 (14 seconds has been the time I can hit easily), Frame 11 (I did the Journal flips to get from 5 to 11) and a delay of 631. I finally landed on what should have been my spread, but it wasn't. The coin flips matched exactly, the time was exact, and the frames must have been correct, but I could not find the spread that I actually landed anywhere. Nothing even remotely close.

I apologize for such a long post and all of the parenthesis, but I'm having a hard time with the process. I appreciate the help.

Here I am, back for more help again. ^^;

I have my two parents, female eevee of 31/30/30/x/x/x and male eevee of x/x/x/31/31/31. My egg is a female timid (perfect for the jolt I want) and the only spread I've found has an odd delay, which I usually hit evens. I inserted my ruby version and have been SRing ever since. I've hit my target a few times, but I'm always off my frame. And when I check my IVs, none of them match up to any of the frames. It's really odd... Any ideas?

Always go catch something in this case so you can be sure about your seed. Even if the flips match. Also, make sure your parents are in the right order.

How do you know it's the frame that is off if you can't find your frame? IE. How do you know you did not miss the seed.

Sorry for the stupid question, but if the seed doesn't match, what do I do to get to that seed? Or do I have to create a brand new one and then go from there? Will the seeds with the IV spreads all be different or the same? Does changing the date also change the seed? I still am not sure about everything and I'm a little confused in some places after reading the initial post a few times.

Sorry, but I also have another questions about the Wondercard IV section. There are several IV spreads and seeds posted, but how exactly do you take advantage of that? How do you go about obtaining those spreads with the information presented?

I'm not quite sure. I check with flips, but I guess I'm going to have to recalibrate my frame.... -3-

Uh, I would find out what frame you are getting before thinking about recalibrating it.

You continue at a particular time and with a particular delay to hit a seed. There is information about this in the "common" part of the guide.

For the wonder cards, but the seeds in the listing into the Seed->Time dialog in RNG Reporter to get a target time.

That's what I've been doing, since I thought about doing that. So far so good, only hit 1 frame off a few times.... but sometimes I just hit this frame in which I have no idea what it is because I can't find the spread (when I was SRing)

I am haveing a hard time hitting my target time

My range for delay is like 610-600, (14-15 sec). I need exactly 607. I'm not sure what im hitting (i'm trying to soft reset azelf)

I think i did everything right, do I need to keep cracking at it (changing the date over and over is so tedious)

Also, if I am in the cave where azelf is, I need to get my Frame o be 1 under what the target is, then talk to azelf (which adds 1 more giving me my target) correct? so if it were target frame 101, I would flip my page to the one with a battle until I got to 100, then talk to azelf for 101 hitting my mark.

I think it is more correct to follow this:

starting from any seed-delay-seconds (seed/delay/ss)

1- add the quantity d to your delay. Use 96 as first guess value for d :
delay*= delay+d

1-convert the delay* into seconds dividing it by 60 to obtain the reset seconds :
rs = delay*/60

3- set the pre-reset time p so that the reminder of the division (rs+p)/60 equals your target seconds

r.o.d. ( rs+p)/60 = ss

4 - do the emloop syncronization stuff ( as described in syberia's guide)

5- start the game and check your initial seed and delay

6- if the ingame delay doesn't match your target delay set d as target delay minus ingame delay and repeat steps 1-5

d = delay-ingame_delay

example
target delay : 800
target time : 12.01.04

delay* = 800+96 = 896;
rs = 896/60 = 14.93
p = 49.07 cause the rest of the division (14.93+49.07)/60 is 4

however the starting value for d should be taken in a way that makes the reset seconds greater than your usual seconds from the calibration phase. in this case mine are 14 seconds and rs=14.93>14 so the +96 is a good starting value for d
I am still really really confused when it comes to this stuff. I'll put in everything so I can get some better help.

delay* = 652 + 96 = 748
rs = 742/60 = 12.36
p = 47.64

My usual seconds are 13 so this is still <13, so I have no idea what to do from here. I'm just going to end up with my normal delay of around 626. So would I just keep adding 26 frames until I get what I want? Because that would be fairly time consuming and largely slow and pointless. Is there a better way? I'm terrible at figuring out this kind of stuff.

Also when figuring out what frame hold what pokemon do you take the method one frame before the "actual" method J (which is method 1) frame or what is listed on the far left.

Example; I want what is listed as method 1 frame 9, but method J with a careful sync as frame 4, so do I take the last 4 digits of frame three of method 1 or frame 8 of method 1?
not really
you just need a good understanding of concepts.

is iv abuse impossible without the ability to SOFT reset?
No, heaps of people do it with an AR which means that they can't SR.

You just have to do some extra testing to see if it effects your seconds and delay.
