I have one last question. I keep seeing charts like this one:

Where you can figure out how your team stacks up on weaknesses and resistances. I found it once but I've been googling like crazy and I can't seem to find it again. Could someone tell me where this chart can be found?

Can someone please help me evolve my Haunter?
If you have Wi-Fi, there's a trick you can do, and you don't need any help with it. Deposit Haunter on the GTS, asking for something impossible to get, like an Empoleon below level 9, so no one takes it. Browse the GTS's offers and trade for something, anything, then go back and withdraw Haunter. It will evolve to Gengar on the spot... somehow you'll have tricked the game into thinking Haunter was traded to you instead of just being withdrawn.

I've done this a few times on Diamond, but have yet to test it on Platinum. It should still work.

Senzairu:
It's from Marriland. To be precise, here.

Wailord gets 2HKOed by LO Adamant 252Atk Lucario's CC even with Bold 252Def; on the other hand, so does Milotic. Is this why walls aren't effective anymore? And if so, would I better max SpA?

Well if you're facing Lucario then you must be talking about OU, correct? If so, then why don't you use a better wall than Wailord or Milotic? I believe Suicune is a good OU water wall, it also comes with the ability to set up and sweep (Crocune).

I have 258 EVs to spare on Marowak and Gallade after having maxed out Attack and since I'm planning to run a Trick Room team, I'm curious as to how these EVs can be distributed to maximize defensive potential.

For Marowak, I'd suggest 252 in Defense and 4 in HP. Becomes a very nice physical tank, considering his 110 base defense.

Gallade is pretty much the same thing, 252 into Sp.D and 4 in HP. Like Marowak, he becomes a special tank from his Base 115 Sp.D.

You could always put more into HP if that's what you want. 128/128 would work fine on both of them. Maybe a few HP/Def EVs for Gallade because he's got a pretty pathetic 65 base defense.

@niklink don't listen to teh1337ness, it is almost always better to max HP before investing in defenses and these pokemon are no exception, I would run 252hp 4def on both of them

Also if you are looking to use the Life Orb Set for Gallade, 252HP EVS will set it at 340 HP, which is divisible by four, so it'll probably be best to remove 12EVs from HP and put them into DEF, so you have a nice recoil number at 337HP. So 240HP and 16DEF is probably the way to go.

From the Breeding Guide:

''The IVs for the baby are first created at random. Then, a random IV from either parent is inherited to the baby. Then, any random IV except an HP IV is selected from either parent and is passed to the baby. Finally, any random IV except an HP or Defense IV is selected from either parent and passed to the baby. These three random IVs may overlap, that is, the same random IV can be chosen to be inherited in the second, or third, IV transfer.''

Can someone explain the Action Replay to me a little? The official page says that old versions just require an update to work with Platinum, but only a few codes are listed.

I'm not asking for codes, I just want to know that they are out there and they work; such as fast hatch, determine your secret ID, etc.

-and are Pokemon that haven't been fast hatched considered generally more valuable on Smogon than those that have been?

So how should one go about getting lots of Rain Dances in Platinum, then?

Ask for them in the Simple requests forums in the wifi section. People have lots of them. Unless you have Diamond or Pearl too.

Probably a tad late :/

Hi all, in DPPt, is there such a technique as shiny breeding? If so, then can someone explain or post a link to a tutorial of some sort (I'm kinda busy with other things at the moment)?

sorry dan, the only way to get a shiny is to either a. hack, b. get it fairly (which through breeding gives you no greater chance of getting a shiny) or c. rng abuse. Im not an expert on this, but if you go to the articles here on smogon there are lots of stuff about your secret id and the rng for dpp. RNG is random number generator, by the way.

I want to use Jirachi as a rain lead, but it's an event Jirachi with Draco Meteor.

Proposed moveset:
-Rain Dance
-Thunder
-U-turn
-Draco Meteor/Stealth Rock

Draco Meteor > Stealth Rock to surprise the dragons?

UnSTABed Draco Meteor sucks. Just use Stealth Rock or another move, and let another Pokemon deal with dragons.
