Bronzong can't really be dealt with, as Crunch doesn't even 2HKO. Stone Edge can hit both Azelf and Gyara, but Thunder Fang will guarantee you the OHKO on Gyara. The lose of phasing doesn't hurt a lot, unless you're afraid to death from Baton Pass chains.I just have a simple question of what to run on a lead Hippowdon. Here's what I've currently been running:
Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Nature: Impish
252 HP / 168 Def / 88 SpD
~ Earthquake
~ Slack Off
~ Stealth Rock
~ Roar
My question is this: which move really is the most usefull in the last spot for general purposes? I've been finding that Hippowdon gets walled in the lead spot by Gyra/Azelf/Bronzong/etc. without SE, as my main purpose for this Hippo is to set up Stealth Rock and Sandstream, and then switch out with as much health as possible to use as a wall later. My only problem is that without Roar, I run into problems with phazing. Any help?

Just use a team from this topic:

People have used all of those teams to great success, it would be foolish to not use one of them.
does the alternate Rotom formes have identical movesets that ONLY differ in their respective exclusive move??
i'm not quite sure which of the five i'm gonna place inside my team
The guy that exchanges shards for weather TMs is only in Diamond and Pearl, but not Platinum (it was replaced by a move tutor guy in Platinum). Here's a simple question.
There is supposed to be someone on Route 212 who exchanges weather TMs for shards (who is not the normal move tutor). Having checked several sites and FAQs, and searching endlessly on Route 212, I can't find where this person is supposed to be. I'm playing the Japanese version of Platinum, but I don't think that would made a difference. Help?
Ask in the Simple Questions/Simple Requests thread. Can someone please help me evolve my Haunter?
If you have two gba games, you can do this:
Migrate over 6 from the game you want to transfer them over from (Game A).
Set the DS's internal clock ahead one day.
Insert Game B, and choose migrate. When the game aligns with the current time, you can remove that game, throw in Game A, and transfer more Pokemon. You can do this as many times as need be, iirc.
I don't know much about NU/UU(because I can't imagine using Articuno in OU) but wouldn't you rather play off of Articuno's higher Special Attack? Are any of these moves usable on Articuno: Mist (anti-Intimidate weapon), Avalanche, Ice Shard?
Is there a thread here on Smogon that suggests good Pokemon combinations? Like which Pokemon benefit each other most when on the same team? Or team combinations? I've looked around but can't seem to find anything like it.
Do Pokémon keep their stat changes when they are switched out?
My question: I'm currently SR'ing for a Timid Magnemite, and I have hatched about 55 eggs. Not a single one has been Timid natured so far, and I tend to get the same 5 natures very frequently (in my case Jolly, Brave, Naive, Rash, and Bold) and no matter what, I can't find a timid egg. Neither parents are holding an everstone. Has anyone encountered something like this before? Anyone know any tips for helping this problem?
In the monthly stats thread, there is a section which shows you what pokemon gets paired which what other pokemon the most.
Go to "Link to Teammate stats" here

Adding to what ReyScarface said, there are also good two Pokemon combinations that would be good to know about too. I'm sure you've heard of the CeleTran combo (Celebi+Heatran)? There are others like ZoneMence that are also effective. It doesn't really answer your question but it somewhat pertains and its always good information to know.
