lol Hybrid, those are pretty old. You did those back when I was still doing fusions. Nobody liked my fusions =(.

Considering how high-quality your redraws/digimon sprites are, I don't see any reason why people wouldn't like your sprite fusions!

I want to have a Breloom for my avatar, but I don't really like the DPPt sprite of him, so I'm wondering if anyone who isn't working on something could redraw a sprite of him for me?

I could try. I would reccomend someone else try, too, since I'm still uncertain about my scratching skills. I'll start on it once I finish redrawing Kniet.

I'm going to have to go back and take a look at those. If you're anywhere near as good at fusing as you are at scratching, you've blown me out of the water already. XD

@Bood- I'd help you, but my scratching is kinda mediocre. If you want, I can give it a shot.

Anybody have requests?

@Estranged: It looks great. I can't remember what G/S/C sprites look like all that well, but that devamp compares closely to what I do remember.

Fuzz, try Shiny Latios + Shiny Latias :D I'm having such a fun time with those two :P

Here's a GSC-inspired gliscor sprite I made. It's my first attempt at devamping a sprite, so comments and critique would be great.

Looks just as bad as the sprites that inspired it! (<-That is a compliment, although it sounds bad.) Great job! Maybe I'll get around to doing Devamps someday...

Haha! Thanks.

Anyway, here's (yet again) a new evo I made:

I made it kinda fast so it isn't anything special, but I thought I'd share it anyway.

Errors in the neck, specifically the line art and shadows. Looks OK, but it looks like you just tweaked the DP lapras sprite and made it pointier.

Okay, I gave the Breloom scratch a shot.

Please tell me I'm improving. T_T I actually like this one.

Canti, can I get your opinion (and Headpunch, if you're around)?

EDIT: CRAP, I forgot his little head slits. I'll add them on the revision...

@1337- I'll give it a try.

The left "hand" is detached from the body in your sprite. It looks like it's attached to its neckpiece.

Good shading though. :)

I tried to fix that by drawing in an arm...but I suppose that didn't work. That's my first order of business when I redo it.

Fuzz, you're improving, although it's still going to be a while before you produce great scratches.

Good to know I'm improving. I'm nowhere near some of the others though, and I don't think I will be for a loooong time. XD

Finally finished the second Kniet Sprite. It is now in a "moving toward you" pose rather than "I'm-a gonna' stab". Its facial expression is more defined, and it now has two rocks around its head instead of one. Overall, I like it better.

So what does everyone think about this one?

@Fuzz: The main thing I noticed is how it's too big. The body, heads, and neck spikes are just eithe too big or too long. I think it would look better myself if it was shrunk down a bit. As for actual coloring, the only thing I noticed is that the middle neck spike looks too bright against the body. I would reccommend giving it some black in the outline.

You asked for it

It looks nice. But it's pixel art of a Breloom, not a Breloom sprite. It helps to actually use the existing sprite as a reference point while you work, since that is the look your trying to simulate

#1: Your color palette is wrong. If your going to make a new sprite for an existing pokemon, make sure you use the same color palette of the old sprite, otherwise your just doing pixel art (or a new shiny coloration).

#2: Your sprite is too large. Breloom is 59 pixels tall. Your pixel-art is 79 pixels tall. When you make a new sprite of an existing pokemon, the size doesn't have to be exactly the same as the old sprite, but it should be similar. 20 pixels is too much to go unnoticed.

#3: There's too much light colored outline in certain places. Always use Black to color the bottom and bottom-right of any object, no matter what. Use less of your lightest outline color and replace it with your middle outline color. Don't use the light outline color unless that surface is facing directly at the sun (The outline on Breloom's face shouldn't be colored that way).

#4: Highlights are to big. This is majorly noticable on the neck petals, where you tried to use highlighting to accomplish what you should have done with shading. Highlights should be no more than 2 pixels thick vertically or horizontally unless the object is on dominates the sprite, or the object is flat is someway. Remember a highlight is the tiny sliver of an objects curvature that is facing directly at the sun.

#5: The neck petals are the wrong shape. Breloom has round petals on it's neck, not spikey ones.

Now I'm all nostalgic for the days when I enjoyed fusions. Here's my favorite:

Here's the lineart for my Brepose. I'm posting it up since I prob. won't have it done tonight since I'm going somewhere. Comments and crits are welcome.
