Yes, those are slot numbers. To check what slot you'll encounter for your frame (Method J), use the newest version of RNG reporter and just right-click on a Method J frame and click "Check Encounter Slots." It should give you all the information you need.

I don's see the option to "check encounter slots." I found the seed and put it on the main RNG page. I then found my frame and when I right click it I don't have the option to check encounter slots.

I have the 6.00 version of RNG.

Nevermind, needed to download newer version.
 
Is there a trick to help do really high number of journal flips without screwing up? I usually count by 20, but in the end, either I messed up my count or something...
 
Here's my method for a high amount of journal flips. I use a physical counter, but you can use windows calculator. Use one hand to do journal flips, and one hand to press enter.

Type 1 + into the calculator. Then, after every flip you do, press enter - this counts each flip you do on the calculator. I count out loud as well - usually to the beat of a song so it's a lot easier.

yea, i've been using my calculator too, but i've tried and failed 3 times
 
Just do frame calibration until you get a consistent frame really, not much else you can do about your frame. Sorry I couldn't be much help on that part =/.

Surf - Are you sure you're miscounting? There could be another problem. Post other details maybe and I'll take a look.

Yeah I have been doing that but recently it's not working well...=\
Tks anyways! I wish there was another way to check if you got the right frame other then using AR...I can't seem get my Delay right whit the AR due to using a timer.
 
I've been thinking about how not random the RNG really is and I wonder, do you think the PokeRadar isn't actually random either? I know chaining is almost obsolete now that we can breed flawless Shinies, but I can't believe that the patches chosen and the Pokemon contained within them are randomized as well.

Not sure it's worth going into much research about, but just a thought I had.
 
Flurries the sequence of patches chosen by pokeradar are the same everytime you are on the seed. I was just researching that this morning

Okay, so, to practice getting this down, I've decided to catch my parents for a breeding project using RNG Abuse. Please let me know if I've made any mistakes:

Seconds: 14
Delay: 599

Under Method J,
Target Frame: 49
Number of Roaming Pokemon: 2
Sweet Scent Frames: 2
Sweet Scent Slot: 6
Target Pokemon Slot: 6

So, 49-2-2 = 45
-22 Journal Flips
-1 Step with Repel on in the grass
-Sweet Scent

If I did this correctly, I should find my Slot 6 Pokemon (Skarmory) with the nature listed on RNG Reporter, with the correct IVs.

Is this right? If you need more detail, let me know.
 
Wow, I've been so bad at simple math lately.
Other than that, it's correct?

EDIT: No, I think 22 is right. I'm going for 49, not 45.
 
You need to take 1 step to make the frame odd, so that will put you at 3. There's 2 runners, so that moves you up to 5 just from the start. 49-5= 44. 44/2=22. So you'll need to do 22 journal flips, along with the 1 step and sweet scent.
 
Sorry Flurries, I forgot that you already put the sweet scenting into the equation.

And does anyone know how to do the frame calibration phase faster? I tried it once, but it took me I think about 30 minutes or so to hatch the egg and figure out it's IV's.
 
Then I guess I'm just screwed huh?
I could just breed the Skarmory parent, it only needs 31 Atk and SpD, but I wish I could catch it. :/
