Monti: You can Sketch any move onto Smeargle. iirc, if you're using 2-turn moves, you should Sketch the second turn.

EDIT: ColdEye, using Surf and Hydro Pump on Starmie isn't reccomended, as they're too similar. Try using the set from the analysis if you're looking for a good Starmie moveset.

Yesterday I tried using a Mud-Slap on Shoddy Battle. I got the damage message, but I didn't see anything indicating an accuracy drop. Is there actually an accuracy drop on attacks like Mud-Slap?

Can you explain what RS is, please? I'm assuming you mean Stealth Rock (with a typo), and the majority of us hate it because it's hard to remove and severely affects the metagame as a whole.

I mean, who doesn't carry a SRer or a Rapid Spinner? If it's so overused that it seriously affects the metagame, people get their feathers ruffled and want it banned.

Why do 99% of the people on these forums hate RS so much?

If you meant 3rd gen as in the games Ruby and Sapphire, the general reason is because of the lack of many things 2nd gen gave us (Day and Night System, temp. removal of animated sprites, etc.) The water didn't help either, as well as apparently, the 3rd gen pokémon are shoddier than the 2nd gen ones.

These are all opinions, anyway, though I still consider 3rd gen my fave gen of all of 'em. ;P

Or he may be referring to Ruby/Sapphire. >_< Or you're right and he misspelled the abbreviation for "SR."

What kind of fun stuff can one do with a non-Calm* Regice? I already have Calm from a previous runthrough, and I'm in the position to catch another Regice soon.

*Bold/Modest preferred over Curse sets, which are relatively straightforward. (I'm sure Modest can utilize Rock Polish, but I'd like to hear a few more ideas)

Either way, though, he has an answer.

True. And considering this thread is here for the purpose of answering others questions, and since he got an answer, you have helped the thread in its overall mission.

Speaking of answering others questions... can someone please take a look at mine?

You can just run RestTalk with 300+Def...
Em, say, RestTalk Regice, Rest/Sleep Talk/Blizzard/what Electreic move should I use? I want paralysis support and damage...

*Sorry about the double post but I don't know how to make two quotes in one post and I wanted to give this man an answer.

Alright, my answer? Regice is a special wall and *somewhat* excels at just that. (I say this because Blissey would probably be a better Pokemon to turn into a special wall) So I say, keep your Calm Regice and if you must use it, make it that special wall set in the analysis. Hope I helped ^_^

Also, I am aware Calm >>>>>> everything else and am very happy with my Calm one. My point is there is this other Regice I can catch and there's no need for me to capture another Calm one. :-)

Choice Specs Regice anyone? :-P

1)If I pal park a shroomish with the effect spore ability from emerald to platinum, is there any chance of it becoming poison heal?
2)If so when would it happen, upon import or evolution?
3)And what are the chances of it happening, because I don't want to waste all my time breeding for it to not even have the right ability.
Why didnt anyone answer this question. =P

1.)Yes
2.)Evolution, iirc
3.)Pretty sure you have a 50-50 shot (it's based off whether some code is even or odd or something like that).

Thank you for that info :)

If I were to really have to choose another Regice nature for you I would just go with Modest. Although Bold does increase its lesser Defense I do believe that any strong and super-effective physical will still do it in. Swords Danced Close Combat coming from an Adamant Lucario in my mind.

And I just saw you're sig and it says you like RNG manipulation? If so could you maybe help me out with my question?

Strealine, you might wanna try posting for help with RNG abuse in the Wifi subforum. You'll get a lot more people who know about it looking there than you will here.

The RNG is complex enough beast that you're going to have some trouble without RNG Reporter... I believe you'll want to use it even during calibration (to get a feel for how you and the RNG get along). Folks in the Wi-Fi forum (like Xia said - probably in that forum's Simple Request thread or the RNG thread) might have an easier time helping you out live through IM or chat or something like that.

You could possibly also go for a Timid one if Rock Polish interests you, probably better for RP and Specs sets.

As said, Bold COULD work at making it a sort-of mixed wall, but I think Regirock and Registeel pull that off much better simply due to the fact that they're not weak to Stealth Rock. Also, I don't think Regice gets Stealth Rock itself, which is another plus (albeit small) that the other two have.
