Also, HP Ground 67 is definitely usable for covering steel types. I'd keep without question also.

He was just flashing that Darkrai like a wad of bills ;P

[edit]

but seriously, does anybody know where the battle tower records thread went?

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but I can't find a Forum Help thread. Sooooo...I can't seem to edit the first post on my RMT thread. Whenever I click the edit button, the little dots making the circle come up, like it's trying to load, but it never does! But when I tried editing another one of my posts, it worked fine. I'd just post a new thread, but it's only been like, a week since I posted the team. Please help...

Is your thred locked?

Oh, and thanks Rayne Sylvan for the link earlier! I've got a Plat Dobles Tower record still going for the list ^.6

What is a good special sweeper?
there's a bunch of powerful special sweepers, what is the best depends on your team.

some of the top special threats are, heatran, rotom-a, latias, gengar, starmie, azelf, zapods, jolteon, togekiss, infernape, porygon-z and alakazam.

Um, in Platinum, do I need to battle the Legendary Trio before the National Dex, or can I wait post?
Giratina, I heard about it showing up in Turnback Cave if it you defeat it in the Distortion World; Is this true?

Thanks in advance.

Same for Giratina

Thanks in advance.

Trio birds or the elves? If you are asking about the birds, I believe they only unlock AFTER you have the national dex. If you mean the elves, you have to encounter them to get the national dex, so if you can find someone to trade them to you, you could technically get your national dex before battling the ones in your own game, but you'll need someone elses help.

Ahh, I meant the Elves, thanks for the help.
I already have them on Pearl, so I just need to borrow a DS from a freind :nerd:
Oh and what about my Giratina question?

Some say Water-types with Ice moves are actually more useful than Ice-types; is that true? Is that also true regarding Dragon-types with Fire moves?

By water types most would generally refer to them as bulky waters. Bulky water are generally more useful than bulky ice because water type does not have to take 25% damage to their HP from the Stealth Rock for every time that they have to switch in. So yes, in the competitive field, bulky waters with ice-type move are better functional than bulky ice-type (if any existed besides Walrein on the Hail Team). But if we were to compare that concept on sweepers such as Weavile and Mamoswine, then that is entirely different, because their STAB allows Ice Punch/Ice Shard to have higher chance of OHKing/2HKing something like, say, Garchomp/Latias/Latios, as opposing to Donphan's Ice Shard that retain 40 base power due to not being an ice type.

On to the second question, that statement would generally fit onto fire-breather dragons such as Salamence, Flygon, Garchomp, and Dragonite. If you're making a team that doesn't have Magnezone, then your dragon should have either Fire Blast/Fire Punch (latter for Dragonite) to take down annoying steel-types like Scizor, Forretress, Skarmory, Bronzong. So yes, putting a fire attack on your dragon would prove beneficial, though not always as each individual's team have different needs.

It's a continuous-use item

Oh darn, why aren't I a bit surprise by that answer ;(. Seem like Skarmory will continue to have its laugh at Magnezone + Salamence combo, while making Thunderbolt a perfect set-up for Electric immune/resist.

What is the best way to level a pokemon from 75 on? Where are the best pokemon/trainers to grind on? Please don't tell me rare candies.
