Teirs R 4 Queers [RMT]

Well, I noticed that there was some pretty good stuff in NU, so I took a blast at making a team based around NU.

The Team

Shuckle: The Opener
Spr_4d_213.png

Ability: Gluttony
Item: Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP, 208 Def, 48 SpD
Nature: Sassy

-Knock Off-
-Encore-
-Rest-
-Stealth Rock-

Having Shuckle as a lead nearly seems gimmicky, yet it's effective. I saw one and I was like, "What the fuck am I meant to do now?". You shouldn't have much trouble setting up a Stealth Rock and then Knocking Off the foe's held item. Once that job's done, you can Encore on a move like Dragon Dance, and switch. You can constantly switch in and out Shuckle without much worry, and piss off the opposition.

Lanturn: Where There's Darkness, There's Light
Spr_4d_171.png

Ability: Volt Absorb
Item: Leftovers
EVs: 40 HP, 136 SpA, 252 SpD, 80 Spe
Nature: Calm

-Thunder Wave-
-Thunderbolt-
-Surf-
-Ice Beam-

Replacing Relicanth is Lanturn, who has better special defensive capabilities, and, for the sheer fact that I needed more special attackers. Thunder Wave helps provide this team with some much-needed status support. (What the fuck? No status but sleep before? God.) Also, it slows everything down to my pace, which is, pretty slow. You've got Surf, which helps take down Rhyperior and the like. Thunderbolt is there, making light work of stuff like Skarmory. Ice Beam is there just for extra coverage.

Medicham: Pure Power, Pure Pwnage
Spr_4d_308_m.png

Ability: Pure Power
Item: Choice Band
EVs: 6 HP, 252 Atk, 252 Spe
Nature: Adamant

-Hi Jump Kick-
-Psycho Cut-
-ThunderPunch-
-Ice Punch-

Despite the fact it has the appearance of a prostitute wearing clown pants, it sure doesn't fight like one. Its awesome attack stat has power rivaled only by a Thick Club Marowak and Deoxys Attack Forme. Hi Jump Kick hits hard, and kills virtually anything in its path. The only weakness to this "Kick to kill" tactic is the recoil if you miss, or your opponent switches in a Ghost (FUCKER!). Half damage isn't nice. Actually, it's lethal. Ice Punch, ThunderPunch, and Psycho Cut, have "Deranged Manaic Bent on Revenge" written all over them. It'll teach that fucking Gengar to switch in on a HJK.

Pinsir: The One-Man Stag

Spr_4d_127.png

Ability: Mold Breaker
Item: Choice Scarf
(screw the Choice Band then.)
EVs: 200 Atk, 150 Spe, 160 SpD
Nature: Jolly

-Earthquake-
-X-Scissor-
-Stone Edge-
-Quick Attack-

Doesn't every team NEED someone like Pinsir? Scizor, Heracross... They may appear to outrank this son of a bitch, but he, with Mold Breaker, is the superior Bug. Levitation users, like Magnezone and Gengar, to name a few, get brought down to earth by Mold Breaker, and owned by Earthquake. Stone Edge gets the Flying types who are a constant menace to bugs alike. X-Scissor is unessacary to explain, as it kills Psychic. Quick Attack for priority, as a nice finish-off.

Ninetales: Saying "Nein!" to the Opposition
Spr_4p_038.png

Ability: Flash Fire
Item: Life Orb
EVs: 100 SpD, 252 SpA, 158 Spe
Nature: Timid

-Nasty Plot-
-Flamethrower-
-Energy Ball-
-Hypnosis-

In this case, Hypnotism really implies the age-old theory of "You snooze, you lose". Putting your foe to sleep buys you a turn. Nasty Plot it and then go to town with Flamethrower and Energy Ball. Energy Ball takes out Swampert, who resists all my other Pokemon (And has fucking strengths against them). Flamethrower gets Skarmory, who resists Stone Edge from Pinsir, and to a lesser extent Bronzong, if Pinsir got in a pinch (Again, no fucking shit joke intended). Ninetales practically covers the existing weaknesses.

Sandslash: Spin for a Win
Spr_4d_028.png

Ability: Sand Veil
(which really is no good with no Sandstormers)
Item: Leftovers
EVs: 200 HP, 200 Atk, 160 SpD

-Rapid Spin-
-Swords Dance-
-Shadow Claw-
-Aerial Ace-

To be honest, I was disappointed when looking through NU for a spinner. Hitmonchan? Terrible. Fucking DELIBIRD? It takes half damage in on a Stealth Rock! Armaldo? I've already got a Rock/Bug... Sandslash seemed the best option, with that nice moveset too. It's practically covering the last few weaknesses, hitting Mismagius (in absense of a Kasib (fucking Berries...) ) and Alakazam. Aerial Ace kills off Heracross without too much of a problem.

That's my team. Rate it, if you will.

It will be hard for users to rate this team without EV spreads, also could you clarify if we are meant to be rating this team for UU usage of OU (I'm guessing OU at the moment due to your descriptions but I would also like ot know if you would be willing to take suggestions on adding non-NU pokemon to this team, otherwise, in all honesty, you are going to get destroyed when playing OU as you are really quite weak to some of the most common threats there).

I'll update in a minute with EV's.

Yeah, I assume, even milking the best out of NU, that an OU team could beat it. It holds its own in UU, really, but I'm not too sure, on reflection, that it will really cut it in OU.

Couple notes, you have one pokemon which has special attacks >.>

And dont even consider this team for OU, mixape would rip throught this team easy, Scizor will only lose to Ninetails, but with weakness to stealth rock, that isnt guranteed, DDGyarados walks through this team with ease, Salamence also scares this team, so yeah keep this in UU or NU if you can.

EVs would be nice haha.
Will give full rate when tier is defined and EVs are shown.

Now, if I was re-making this team, possibly adding in UU Pokemon as I go, I'd definitely keep:

Shuckle: Better Special defensive capabilities than Cresselia, and about as good defensively as Forretress. He's a wall.

Medicham: It's him or a Thick Club Marowak. And Marowak has piss-poor coverage.

I think that having 2 Bands and no Scarf and no fast sweepers is kind of a problem, IMO change either Medicham or Pinsir to Choice Scarf, and also please refer to speed as Spe, not Spd, makes life easier.

Dude, Marowak with Double Edge, Fire Punch, Bonemerang/Earthquake, Stone Edge/Rock Slide. That has great coverage, or so i've found. Sure, Stoning Gengar isn't ideal, but it works fine. Although, Baton Passing some speed is pretty much a necessity.

Shuckle is fucking awesome though.

After reading the comments I am thinking that this team is supposed to be played in OU. I'm not too sure how that will work as you have major weaknesses to quite a few pokemon with Specs Latias being the main one as it can OHKO pretty much everything atm. Maybe having this team only for UU so that you won't have to worry about things like Lati and Salamence.

EDIT:
Thunderbolt is there, making light work of stuff like Skarmory

It'll teach that fucking Gengar to switch in on a HJK.

Energy Ball takes out Swampert, who resists all my other Pokemon

I think it is meant for OU

Shuckle: Better Special defensive capabilities than Cresselia, and about as good defensively as Forretress. He's a wall.

That is true, but you are forgetting this is in the SAND, Shuckle needs sand to survive in the OU tier as it boosts his SpD by 50%. You would really benefit from a pokemon with Sandstream on your team.

I started this as NU, but I'm making changes so I can keep it mostly NU/UU, while still being effective.

Yeah, a Streamer would be useful. Also, should I get a Hitmontop Rapid Spinner over Snadslash?

Magnezone sets usually contain Magnet Rise, which makes the ability Levitate, unless they're feeling daring and leave it off for more attacking power.

I wanted to ask, but did you test this team out on Shoddy yet?
Did anyone?I spot Theorymanz Syndromes, lolz!(That n00bspeak was on purpose)

And, Magnet Rise doesn't change the ABILITY from Magnet Pull->Levitate.
Magnet Rise simply gives the effect of Magnet Pull + Levitate.
http://www.smogon.com/dp/moves/magnet_rise
And I'm pretty sure it's that way.

Other than that, this team LOOKS surprisingly good, for UU, but not OU.
I don't advise you to go against anything in OU.
Looking at the current metagame, Scizor would destroy this team.
Infernape too.
The only thing stopping the whole team from dying instantly would be Shuckle, and once that's gone?

Follow the above posts, i agree. a Streamer would be sweet. I wouldn't mind throwing a Hipopotas simply for the Auto Sand. Or since you're interested in fighting in OU, give yourself the allowance and put in a Tyranitar or Hippowdon.
