Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

I'm about to breed a Magnemite and I want to make sure that it has the ability Magnet Pull rather than Sturdy, how do I know whether that's Ability 1 or Ability 2? Serebii and Bulbapedia both list Magnet Pull first, but when I read the info on Smogon it mentions Sturdy first...

Go there, and look up Magnemite. It will tell you! :D

just wondering, during the 1st calibration phrase, i have done about 20 test to get my seconds and delay and while my delay seems fine (range of 595-605) i get a time of 23 secs consistently. Is it fine that its that high? (im assuming no since it take on avg 15 sec to get ingame) and if its not right what could i have done wrong
Are you sure you did put the correct date? I had the same problem too, when I realised the RNG reporter was still standing on a day earlier.

I managed to get a calm, aftermath, male Drifloon (well the daycare man is holding it), I'm trying to iv abuse it now, but that doesn't seem to work.

I've saved the game right before the daycare man. The first time I hatched the egg, I was on a frame of 6. I want to be on a frame of 10, so I start the game, and the journal pops up, and it says I caught a pokémon before I do anything. That's already two frames up if I'm correct.

I then press A - B (to flip the journal once), start (to cancel the journal), and before an NPC moves I collect the egg. I've done this now like ten times, I always seem to be getting the wrong IV's.

If I reset the game to collect the egg, do I always start on that 6th frame? Wich means I always should advance four frames?

This is kinda confusing me. If someone is able to help me and can explain to me what I might be doing wrong, please tell me. Or am I just unlucky?

Thanks a lot!

"Synchronize Time - Take your target time and remove the seconds and then subtract one full minute. For example: 12:05:30 becomes 12:04:00."

I'm confused with this, does the seconds mean the "seconds" shown on RNG reporter that is next to the delay?

Reset Time - Take your target time and subtract what you determined your seconds value was during calibration. For example: (assuming a seconds value of 15) 12:05:30 becomes 12:05:15.

So, just need some clarification. This means you sync your DS with an external clock to the second. Then you load the game and you wait until you reach the reset time? Is this correct?

Yes.

I think so. That way you'll start the game at 12:05:30, and your seconds will be 15, so hopefully you'll get the right delay. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Can someone please take the time to answer my question? I try everything and it wont work. Thanks a lot.

Sorry I can't help you. I'm still trying experimenting with RNG, I've got another question with getting flawless pokemon. Is it possible to get quite a few 31 Iv's even if the parents have no 31 Iv's? I'm just curious because I don't have a pokemon with 3, 31/30 Ivs =/

It is possible, though it's quite difficult. Infact, I didn't manage to pull it off myself. I'm only in the stage where I manage to RNG abuse the game to give me an egg with a good nature, gender and ability. I'm really having trouble with getting good IV's. I hope I'll find it out soon.

Good luck anyway with finding out yourself.

Kay thanks. I just got the hatching Shiny thing yesterday ^_^.

Hoping to hatch a pokemon with at least quiet a few decent IV's within a couple of days.

Then I'll attempt to Catch a perfect legendary on my Platinum game although I need someone to crack the code first as I don't have AR or a caught shiny =[

Oh, so you're using MinusOne program.
Well, just save with 6 pkmn in your team and with the app 15 (coin) open.
When you enter the game flip the coin 10 times to check the seed.
Then switch to happiness checker and taps, after that switch again to coin flip app and do the x amount of coin flips.
I did exactly this, but I didn't work o.o

I got the flips listen in RNG R, did the happiness tabs and other coin flips, dumped Smeargle and Houndoom in daycare, made egg, saved. Put on fast egg hatch, checked egg, not shiny. I'm sure I did everything right. It IS male, and does have Flash Fire, but it's serious, not Timid and not Shiny.

If this is relevant, my Smeargle had an everstone, but I took it of right before I put it in the daycare. (Was inside the daycare too).

EDIT: Crap. Left in wrong ID/SID, but shouldn't the nature be the same then?

Ok, I have a seed (d90b0248) that produces a delay that I need that is about 10 lower than my range of delays.
Delay needed(in 2000): 584
Average Delay Range: 595-605

Is there anyway I can lower my delay range?

No, it is probably impossible to ever hit that delay for you. With changing years and keeping a delay range, the min in 2000 is your normally min delay, and the max is the max delay +99. So if you use PokeRNG or RNG reporter, set the min to 595 and max to 694 ( or a little higher if you want to try for a delay out of your range).

That's what I feared, there went my best shiny spread. Thanks for the help.

Okay, I need some clafication for what the seconds means in the Seed finder.
Is it the number of seconds that has passed the minute? Because I'm getting seriously strange results.

15: 17 – 46 secs, 633 delay
15:20 – 9 secs, 635 delay
15:21 – 54 secs, 631 delay
15:24 – 43 secs, 629 delay

15:41 – 44 secs, 637 delay
15:44 – 19 secs, 631 delay
15:47 – 18 secs, 629 delay
15:49 – 18 secs, 634 delay
15:51 – 42 secs, 633 delay

Okay these are my delays and seconds. The number before that is the minute time it was on when I hit continue. So the seconds time is confusing me now =/ only thing that would make sense was if the seconds = the number of seconds past that minute.

I'm using Diamond and I'm at resort area and catching glooms, weepinbells and illumises. I'm pretty sure I'm getting the ryt second if I SR on the exact second it starts the next minute.
My delays? Not sure if i can get that down as I mash A button on my DSi as soon as I SR.

Sorry if it's confusing or something. Hope someone can help or clarify it for me.

That's exactly what the seconds stand for. You need to reset at :00 to get sensible results.

This is most likely the most common problem people are facing and probably should be emphasized more in the first post.

I searched through the OP but i couldnt find the Frame of eevee, does anybody know it?
Also does the girl in the house mess the frames?

Destiny100, are you absolutely sure of two things ...

1. You synchronized your DS clock to a real clock at :00 seconds.
2. You SR'd at a :00 second mark.

Make sure both of those are true. It sounds like the one or both could be wrong.
Also, you could also try re-synchronizing the DS Clock each time, too, you're gonna have to do that when you start the real deal anyhow.

it's under trophy garden and it says something like "previous day" and "current day". Depending on which day your evee is on, it will be one of those. And the girl inside the trophy garden house doesn't affect the frames. I just rng abused there earlier and she didn't affect the frames.

Easy to figure out. Get one, use it to make your initial seed. If a synchronizer does not work with it, then it is method 1.

If it's always on frame 1 then it is on frame 1. If it varies then you are contending with NPCs. I will add it to the OP when I am back in town, but you really don't ever have to wait for an answer to figure these sorts of things out.

I mean the eevee of hearthome

Don't know. You can test real quick by saving infront of whoever gives it to you. Then SR, pick it up, and go catch a pokemon. Find the spread, and check both method 1 and J for that spread. Whichever one it's supposed to be. Then just see what frame it's on. I would, but I don't have time to right now. Hope that helps Dark-Ryu.

Thanks guys, I already checked it, and it is method 1 frame 1 but i think that Bebe mess with the frames :[ and i don't know how to deal with it xD

You might want to try treating the Eevee like a Wonder Card gift and do the Journal flips before entering the game world (and unfortunately before you can coin flip to verify your seed... :-/ ).

Yeah, it's best to test the frame a few times. If you're hitting the right seed, and constantly getting the wrong IV's, then that means that you're hitting the wrong frame. If you're hitting frame 11, then that means you're getting frame 7 before the flips. You may have to go for another spread though.
