Yeah, the sprite kinda reminds me of the battle Ash had with Drake in the anime >.> they were like "o noez its Dragonite, gg", lol. Dragonair's sprite is pretty awesome, too.

Btw, is this game playable even if you don't read a single word of Japanese?

Yeah it is, expecially with the english patch that's out, which translates most of the names (ie. Pokemon names, move names etc) and all the battle messages for you (if you're using a r4 or similar).

Whoah, interesting. Would you be able to take some pics of that? I can probably translate its name.

Yeah, sure.

Also, I got the description wrong; the Poké Ball symbol is white, so it does match with the small sprite. Maybe it is somehow obtainable after all.

Also, some more screenshots of random items I hacked in:

Clear Bell (with description)? Also has the GB Player.

Apricorns and Platinum items

Mystery Egg and the Silver and Rainbow Wings.

Numbered cards? I don't know what number these go up to. But there's a whole lot of them (at least 13).

Description of the first of these cards.
picture9no.jpg

Description of the Pal Park Ball.

And finally:

Shiny Origin Giratina, from my Platinum (Bold 29/x/31/31/31/22) :P

EDIT: There appear to be no new hold items (at least not near where Platinum added the Griseous Orb). No sign of a GS Ball, either.

Yeah, sure.

Moon ball and "Konbe" ball, which could mean 'convenient', or 'combination'.

I know what the Moon Ball is already :P
So it's a 'Combo Ball' ('Convenient Ball' would be weird)? What does the description say?

Uh it's 'konpe' ball actually. Competition Ball. The bug-catching ball maybe?
And the cards are called data cards. No idea what they do lol.

Also something else: Mewtwo's lvl70. What does this mean for the VGC? Are they removing the level cap or will there be a vl50 event?

Well, one of the main reasons for the level 50 limit is that Double Cup (enforces uber clause and 4 Pokémon only) only allows level 50s. Obviously, if they allow ubers, then they can't use Double Cup any more. So it may be that level 100s are allowed. Otherwise a level 50 event is likely.

Anyway, I guess 'Competition Ball' makes more sense than 'Combo Ball' :P What did the original Park Balls look like? If they're not obtainable, then it's probably used for the Bug-Catching Contest.

Anyway, could anyone translate the descriptions? The 'Data Cards' all have slightly different descriptions; some of them have the digit 1 in them, while others don't have any numbers.

Oh, the first card says something about the pokéthlon. I don't speak Japanese so I can't properly translate but I can make out that much. I just know how to romanize katakana but I'm good at that. If they did Japanese at school I'd have done it but I had to settle with French, German, Spanish and later this year Chinese, none of which I'm proficient in. :P

But yeah I'm pretty sure it's the bug-catching ball. Someone should enter it and throw a ball to test it out. Also MrIndigo I can't really blame you for romanizing it wrong; the slightly blurry photo does make the 'pe' look a bit like a 'be' lol.

You can give Kurt more than one Apricorn from the same color, so it's a much better system now.

And Love Balls used to have a 8x catch rate in GSC (and also Level (or was it Heavy) in some cases), so if they kept this same rate, they aren't just "marginally better"...

Really? Well, it has been a few years sinse I played the original's, so I guess that is a lot better.

How do you check the stats of a Pokemon in your party? I can't seem to figure it out...
Press the PokéBall in the bottom screen menu.
Press A on the Pokémon, then A again (つよさをみる), to bring up the trainer summary.
Press the second icon on the bottom (PokéBall with a bar above it).

So, what of the Notched-Ear Pichu? She have any differences from regular Pichu aside from the ear, the Pain Split, the inability to evolve and the inability to be traded to DPP? Does the Light Ball work for her? Higher stats? Different ability or moves?

More importantly, are there wild Weezing in the Burnt Tower? There were in Crystal, and I want one for my team, but I hate that Koffing doesn't evolve until lv. 35.
