Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Z0mg, I'm scared now lol. 6-8th Attempt, Hit my seed ^_^
Okay... Now... Hmm...
Target Frame is 650
I'm catching Uxie

So I take 1 (Uxie is starting on frame 1) to give 649, then do (640/2) Flips? I have 5 pokemon in party so can I change App to number 4, step counter without messing up the frames? Then I walk 128 steps which will advance the frame by another 5 thus reaching 650 frames. Is this correct?

Good job, yet you can do that. Poketech applications only mess with the IRNG, not the PRNG which is what your are trying to advance to hit Uxie.

Starting Frame 1, + 5 after 128 steps Gives you 6. So 6 - 650 = 644. Divide by 2 gets you 322 journal flips.

Yay! Got it, or rather I got a Shiny pokemon which I'll assume is my spread? O_o. Now... Which pokeball would suit it? =/

Ergh... What the hell... I accidently set up sandstorm with my T-Tar, threw repeat ball at it when it wasn't even half health. Caught it on my second ball. Oh well it'll have to do.

<-- I'm also retarded, I only had 1 page of "caught/defeated" on it... -.-" So took me twice as long =[ But it's worth it.

Uxie
Nature: Bold
Ivs: 29/18/31/28/31/28

Ok, I am breeding shinies, I finally landed on the second and delay I needed, I did the flips and coin tosses, put the parents in the day-care and was biking merrily along route 209 when the jogger decided he wanted a battle. Will this mess up the egg?

no i dont think it will because i ran in random patch of grass and killed the poke had no effect on how my egg turned out

No the battling a trainer doesn't affect the nature of the egg. Most likely you messed up somewhere doing flips or taps. Search if you see the quirky nature in the next 5 frames after adamant.

If you already put parents in the day care then it should not matter (I think - Don't have a go at me if I'm wrong) the iRNG is set with tabs and flips and you already put parents in so it should be set. The other reason it didn't work was because you didn't get the right number of flips/coin tosses.

Just did it, got the seed, it gives out a whole list of quirkies and one of them is shiny....

I said look at the 5 frames after the adamant one you were targeting. I don't doubt the fact there are thousands of quirkys on your seed. Probably should look 12 frames after though. You could have easily double tapped once or twice extra to make you go 12 or 24 frames past.

Nobody wants to help me?
My problem is that I don't really understand wich guide I need to follow and they're not clear to me except the egg shiny one. I'm looking to find shinies fast while fishing/surfing/grasswalking, how do I do this?

A was so sure I got the taps and flips right!

No matter, I'm a pro at landing on that time and frame, getting it right again is no biggie...

Just to revise: I am reseting inside the Day-Care, I have 5 pokemon with me parents included, I'm playing Diamond and I'm using RNG Reporter 7.01 - DPPt Time Finder - DPPt Shiny Egg. I do the coin-flips to see if I'm on the right seed, switch to the happiness checker to do the taps and then back to the coin-flips...

Don't ask another open ended question like this. No one can help you unless you ask a very specific question or questions. Second, no one is going be able to just give you a "simple" set of directions, because there is a lot to know and do. It is simple after you know how to do it, but then, most things are.

Then please tell me wich part of your guide I have to read for my goal.

Sorry, the frame-flipping thing eludes me too. Even though English is my second language, my English is as good as any average USA/UK citizen (my grammar sucks though), and I understood little to nothing of the frame-advancing part.

In the begining of the guide they call it seed advancing, then switch to frame advancing, and if you don't read the whole guide at least twice you might not get the fact that when you advance a frame you advance a seed too, and I still haven't found an explanation that makes confident enough to try it, so I decided to just breed shinies for a while, to practice the whole time/delay thing.

There lies your mistake, if you are LANDING on your delay, you need 6 pokemon in your party ;)

I thought since the other shiny egg guide said we were supposed to have 5 pokemon and all... Well, I guess by the time we get to the day-care it's six, I should have though about it...

Tough you guys might want to right it down somewhere...

Hehe, it took me so long to get everything, only learned to RNG abuse with emloop today O_o, took about 2-3 hours.

English is my second language too. But I've lived in the Uk since I was 7 so I understand most of it.

The Finding pokemon shiny while surfing and capturing. Go on how to capture perfect pokemon on the front page. It says it all there.

Erm, what part are you actually doing? You're probably getting yourself confused. Are you capturing the pokemon then doing the taps? Or are you trying to hit your delay then do minimal taps/flips?

"Capturing Perfect Pokemon"

Actually, I don't recommend people who just want to abuse even read the first part of the guide at all. I think there is even some text that says to skip it and just go to the end section. At some point it will all be moved to the research thread so it doesn't confuse people.

Sorry about the double post, I didn't even realize I did it. I'll watch out for it from now on.

I'm doing it by hitting the target time and delay. I asked here (it's on page 407) how should I proceed with the coin-flip/tap/coin-flip and the answer o got is that the taps and coinflips told by DPPt Shiny Egg Time Finder were already taking to account the first 10 coin-flips to verify the seed, so I should first verify the seed (by doing the 10 coin-flips), then do the taps and then the coin-flips again.

I read it because I study engineering and programming and I was curious as how the game calculates those things.

As long as you had 6 pokemon in your party when you did the taps and flips, it's most likely to either be a mistake in the number of taps or flips. Otherwise did you leave the happiness checker application open when you moved location?

It can't be a mistake in the number of taps or flips because a) I only had to do a few of them - like 5 or 7 and b) I've redone the whole process 6 times.

As for the happiness checker; I did taps and then the flips before I flew to the Daycare. So, it was on the coin flip app until I hatched the egg.

For randomly reseting for shiny eggs, you start with 5 pokemon and capture a sixth.

For what you are doing, you start with 6 since you target a specific seed and check through coin flips. You do the 10 coin flips to verify, then with 6 pokemon in your party, double tap as many times as it tells you and do the coin flips.

Mist Demon - If you are capturing pokemon somewhere to confirm your seed, you may be looking the the normal or international parents PID list when you should be looking at the opposite one. This will change what natures you get if you are 100% certain you did the right amount of taps and flips.

I'm not sure if it applies, but I had this problem this morning. I tried 4 times to get my Bold syncher. I was using LF's Ditto and a traded Alakazam I got from the game itself, so I was using two different OT's pokemon. After the 4th Time I thought, screw this! So I got my Ralts (my OT) and then I used it with LF's Ditto, first time. I got my bold syncher.
Were you possibly using two pokemon that weren't your own?
As I have no idea if it affects it or not =/

LF's ditto is the one with the perfect spread? I think I'm using that one with a Metagross that I got from here. So, yea - different OTs. However, I've also done this with 2 different OT Charizards before and I had no problems. Maybe it's only when done with a Ditto?

But why does that matter? It works when I try to go for shiny Beldum - why not for non-shiny? I'll try and use one of the Beldums that I hatched and see if it'll work or not. Will post back when I have results.

Could well be that you are using international parents, i'm assuming you have not equipped an everstone.
