Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Unfortunately, I put in a year after 2100 to get the right delay. I just wanted to know why anything comes after 2099.

Because the seeds are calculated based on the date, time, etc and it can be done for any given year whenever or not the DS can reach it.

I've literally tried over 100 times to get the egg IVs on this duskull now. I'm hitting my seed pretty regularly and the frame comes out to be 6 or 7 about 50% of the time each. I started by shooting for a time and date that where the frame 6 spread was what I wanted, but got 7s 10 times in a row (of hitting my seed) Then i switched to a date and time where frame 7 was my target frame, and guess what 12 6's in a row (of hitting my seed). Now I'm back to Frame 6, but getting 7s.

Just stick to it and eventually get it, or is the frame dependent upon the date and time of your DS (i.e. for the 7's date, I'll most likely not get a 6 and for the 6's date, I'll most likely not get a 7)?

[Edit]
I have done numerous EGG RNG's and usually finish them within 10 tries or shorter, this one is seriously confusing me?!

As far as I know, it's just lady luck laughing at you/everyone else. I had that happen this week (which is why that Kingdra took so long). Eventually, I decided to just catch it, but if you are going for egg moves, the only thing I can say to to keep trying XP.

I'd say re-save and recalibrate. This has happened to me before, where I was unable to get the correct frame when I hit my delay. I resaved, found a new target spread, and hit it after a few tries.

Well, my frames are absolutely consistent, they're just not what I need. :?

I hit my seed on the date where I needed a seven and got a 6, so I just now switched to the date where I need a 6 and hit a 7!? This is like literally 20 times for each, and they're the same frames each time... T_T

I hate resaving, but, meh, this has gotta stop. I'll go ahead and resave. This has been rediculous...

Does anybody know if the frames are dependent upon the date and time, or is it just dependent upon where all the NPCs just happen to be when you save for your egg?

[edit]
Riddlinkid, thank you very much for your advice. I re-saved when the NPCs were in different spots and got my Brave 31/31/31/1/31/31/0 Duskull. You were very helpful.

This was so rediculous. I literally tried over 100 times and have been working on this non-stop since yesterday right after work. Next time I have any weird frame problems I'll just re-save.

Thanks again. :)

I've been having weird problems capturing a Regigigas. I'm going for a Method J frame 82 spread, and I've been doing 38 journal flips and 128 steps (there are 5 Pokemon in my party).

I don't know if those calculations are correct. The first time I got frame 81, the second time I have no clue what I got. Can someone clear this up for me?

(if it helps at all, frame 84 is the same spread)

EDIT;; Tried again, and got some other random, weird results. First time was a Lonely one, just now was some random Relaxed one.

There are wild pokemon in Regigigas' Room, so you only need to turn once to advance the RNG.

Oh, I see. But the thing is that I get a completely different spread every single time. Is there something else at work?

EDIT;; I answered my own question lol. Thanks so much for your help!

In another matter, since I assume Bebe's Eevee is method 1 and starts on frame 1, does each time Bebe turns count as one frame advancement?

That's weird. You can try having an Illuminate Pokemon first in your party, which increases the chances of wild Pokemon appearing and walking around with it. Hopefully you don't advance your frame when you're walking around trying to get an encounter.

Yeah, I keep getting the message "The SWEET SCENT faded away..." or something like that. I then ran around in the same room, and encountered wild pokemon. Every step is 1 advancement, so you can't bet on anything, even with Illuminate.

I'll help with the Eevee problem. If Bebe moves in a constant pattern, then there is no RNG advancement. If it is not constant, then there is an unmeasurable amount of RNG advances. Does that help?

Question about HGSS RNG abusing:

I've already found my seed and clicked Generate Times. Now, I know I have to set my date to one of the times RNG Reporter has told me, but I'm confused about the time. Is it a specific time of the day, or do I have to wait 12 minutes, 03 seconds and 59 nanoseconds?

Hi guys, i am currently trying to hit a frame of 9 while my current frame is 4, unfortunately it to pick up an egg. i have 4 pokemon in my party so i cant do 128 steps to advance it to 9, is there another way in which i can advance it to an odd number. for example letting an npc move one step. how much would that increase my frame by?

also guys i have another question, my journal shows 1 caught pokemon and then when i flip the page it shows two traded pokemon does this mean that the frame has been increased by 4 or 6?

Ok i have a question, my frame is 1306 so i would flip my journal 642 Times but does the journal page i flip have to say caught pokemon? And then i would sweet scent to advance it to 1306 but as soon as i start my game the journal says caught pokemon so i would add 2 correct? so how many flips would i do now?

EIDT: Also i have to get T-T-T-H-T-H-H-T-H-T Is getting that correct order just luck? Or if you dont get it does it mean your doing something wrong? :/

Anyone???

Can someone just verify that i'll be doing this right, since this is my first attempt at a radar abuse? Just don't want to mess up.

Okay, my target pokemon is on frame 57 (yeah, i know, it's really low for this). So I come into the game, verify that I hit the delay and radar (plus 10 since I'm on a plot that will guarentee all 4). So that puts me at 11. I walk to the nearest sparkly patch, adding X to the frame from however many steps I take. Catch the pokemon if it's my target (Bagon), and calculate it's actual frame. From there, I add 5 for the battle (already added one after the radar).

Do the neccesary page flips, and radar again. Here's my big question, is everything set from when I radar, or when I step into the patch? I'm going to assume when I use it, or it would become un-predictable earlier on. Anyways, after radaring, if it's from when I use it, I just walk into the patch and theoretically, there will be my pokemon. Is this right?
I would go for a higher frame on this one, but I can't get the pokemon I want at a higher frame due to slots.
