Shedinja > Hanibal Lecter

Hello That`s my team:

Shedinja--Soul.GIF

Like many of you know I like using Stall teams, but this time I wanted to use a team based around Shedinja and it works - I was #1 on the ladder with that team when my rating was 1817 I stopped and tried new stuff, now I have about 1700, but who cares.

In Depth:

The Lead/Physical Wall
383.png
Groudon @ Leftovers
Ability: Drought
EVs: 252 HP/216 Def/28 Spd/12 SDef
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Earthquake -
STAB and a Staple on any Groudon set.
- Thunder Wave - Thunder Wave`s main purpose is to cripple SD/DD Rayquaza and allows Giratina-o to revenge kill them.
- Roar - Another Staple, it`s obvious, right?
- Stealth Rock - Stealth Rock is vital on a Stall team, and Groudon does the job fine.

Yeah, it`s Groudon`s place in a stall team, the lead.
Groudon beats DD/SD (mainly DD) Rayquaza, and sets up SR, it replaces Sandstorm.
The Ev`s are placed in HP and Defence to actually beat DDray, even with some prior damage (it should beat it with 80%).
It survives 2 CB Outrages.

The Revenge killer
488.png
Dialga @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 52 HP/204 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor - I find my self using that move almost all the time, even though I am scarfed it deals large amounts of damage to pokemon that doesn`t resist it and aren`t pink, and it OHKO`s Darkrai (that`s huge).
- Dragon Pulse - That`s the move I use on most Dragon types, it`s 100% accuracy and if I kill a pokemon I have a 90 STAB instead of 70 on Draco Meteor, so I am not set up bait.
- Thunder - I don`t really know why I have Thunder as I never use it, except on a Lugia in the rain.
- Flamethrower - Flamethrower hits the omnipresent steel types for Super Hardcore damage output, and it has 5 base power more than dragon pulse in the sun.

Dialga is a check to several threats, like Darkrai, hpfire Lati@s, sub + CM Giratina-o...

The Spinner/Hazard-man
205.png
Forretress (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP/4 Atk/252 SDef
Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Spikes - Hazards = obvious
- Rapid Spin - Spins away entry hazards, allows Shedinja to switch in, and it just helps, having no hazards on your side of the field.
- Toxic Spikes -
Hazards = obvious
- Payback - hits many of it`s common switch ins super effectively.

Forretress sets up entry hazards easily due to its resistances mainly Dragon and Ice.
It can also spin away opposing hazards, it often gets a free switch-in because of Scizor`s revenge-killing Deoxys.

It`s Simple. Predict resisted Attack, bring it in, and get a layer. Predict Blissey, and get a layer. Toxic Spikes is notable here as it destroys CMBliss pretty badly, as well as severely limiting Wobbuffet’s lasting power. Payback isn`t necessary, as HPFire Giratina-O`s increased (through me, lol).

Although Forry can not do much back to the likes of Garchomp when they’re stuck Outraging, it can build up entry hazards and when Forry dies, someone can take it`s place. They can’t come back in forever due to entry hazards (SR in Ray’s case, TS+ Spikes in Chomp’s case). Toxic immunity is extremely helpful as well. This little shell finds so many switch in`s its ridiculous.

The EVs are geared towards Special Defense to take on Spacial Rends and Giratina-O’s Dragon Pulses.
(I took this from Jibaku`s Rising From the Storms RMT check it out it`s great, a little credits).

The God
Shedinja @ Focus Sash
Ability: Wonder Guard
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- X-Scissor - STAB that OHKO`s Darkrai. (I often use it as my first move to nail Darkrai switch ins)
- Baton Pass - allows you to escape from scizors, or just use it to get into an advantegeous position, racking up residual damage
- Heal Block- allows you to beat RestTalk Kyogre, allows you to cripple BUDialga.
- Will-o-wisp - cripples Scizors, BUDialga, and more, can be used as a last resort to Physical sweepers.

Shedinja is the glue of the team. Amazing Special Wall, only Dark, Fire and Ghost hit it on the special side, and they are easily handled by Blissey, and it can wall things like RestTalk Kyogre, Bulk Up Dialga (it can`t wall it, but it can use Heal Block and Will-o- Wisp to make Groudons life easier), Lati@s, most Mewtwo, Choiced Palkia`s and Dialga`s - that stuff, there are so many things it can switch in, you wouln`t believe.

The Special Sponge
242.png
Blissey (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Def/4 Spd/252 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Toxic - Staple. It can beat the Special Attackers with that move, and it can spread Toxic on all those flying foes (screw you Latias).
- Seismic Toss - Another staple. It does reliable damage, and beats Calm Mind Mewtwo, and beats other Pokemon faster.
- Wish - Wish is my recovery move and it can help increase recover my other Pokemon
- Protect -
Grants me a free Wish, and can scout for Choiced moves, Leftovers recovery shouldn`t be overlooked.

My answer to Special attacks that hit. The given EV`s are due to the Specially based Metagame. The nature is also Specially Defensive to further take advantage of most Ubers' rather lacking attack stat. Wish is there as a Support move, Protect is there to get a free Wish (and the Leftovers recovery), and this way I can Toxicstall.

The Spin Blocker
504.png
Giratina-o @ Platinum Orb *Due to the rise of Ho-oh I changed Giratina to Origin and twaked his moveset*
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 200 Spd/252 SAtk/56 SDef
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Fire] - It beats Forretress and Scizor.
- Dragon Pulse - STAB, staple.
- Stone Edge -
deals 81% minimum and is a safe method for beating it -it has two options, Brave bird me I survive and it gets killed by Dragon pulse or roost of the SR damage. (and it does well on wobbuffet switch ins)
- Will-o-Wisp - pretty much a filler, it can cripple Lucario when I am at full health and Dialga fainted.
Giratina is my Spinblocker, it can also beat most SDrays and Lucario`s without resorting to Groudon (wobb often kills Dialga), It is a Ho-oh check it does alot more but I can`t remember right now.

Mayor Threat List:

Tyranitar: Even though I have Groudon it can still be very annoying.

Forretress: smart players that switch out when they see Giratina are annoying.

GIRATINA: They can prevent Forretress from spining away hazards and are truly the teams bane.

Hanibal Lecter: That guy pisses me off, my only answer to it is Shedinja, but a Knife Stab + Psycho Blabbering rapes through my whole team.

Use Outrage somewhere on Dialga, probably over Dragon Pulse. It can save your ass against stuff like Latios and Giratina-O (who are often seen on teams that mass Special Attackers and beat down Blissey somehow), although it is risky and should not be flaunted. Basically, its insurance against Calm Mind users. Other than that, you've pretty much got down everything.

I don`t think that I need Outrage, as only CM + Refresh Lati@s beats Blissey and Shedinja handles that, Sub + CM Giratina without Shadow Ball is beaten by Shedinja, and with Shadow Ball it can be roared away and forretress can beat it.

Other than that, you've pretty much got down everything. Is that a compliment? I´ll just say thanks.

Yeah, it was a compliment. I've just found that since you need Draco Meteor to OHKO Darkrai with Dialga, Dragon Pulse doesn't do much, so Outrage is there as a last-ditch just-in-case move.

I have one question. Having made it to second place on the uber ladder using a sheddy team (on the account hugendugen) I have noticed that lately a huge problem is the new Brave Bird Ho-oh. How do you deal with Ho-oh? It will kill pretty much every poke on your team, especially if it has a sub and a few special defence evs. The introduction of the new HGGS was essentially why I stopped using my Ho-oh team.

I was using that team before people started using Brave Bird Ho-oh, so I think that I would give Giratina Stone Edge (I know it isn`t the best option, but it deals

81,17% minimum to 409HP 216 def Ho-oh, so it would pretty much kill it with Brave Bird or switching in again

EDIT: Giratina outspeeds most Ho-oh`s.

Honestly why are you using WoW on giratina-o. Your team uses Toxic Spikes and any physical attacker that's immune to TSpikes is either immune to WoW or KO's you. If you were up against a Rayquaza or a Lucario then I don't know why you wouldn't just try to kill them off or switch, WoW is pointless. I suggest changing your ev spread around, maybe using the standard 252 Atk / 146 SpA / 112 Spe or something idk, but use Outrage over WoW so that you can do good damage to Blissey and not be forced to switch out all of the time. Also honestly I don't like Shedinja on this team but it's what you built your team around obviously so suggesting you to change it would be stupid on my part. But just something to think about: How does Heal Block stop Bulk Up Dialga? There's a good chance that your Groudon is long gone by the time they bring in Dialga, but aside from that, after he's crippled he'll just keep using Bulk Up. What are you gonna do then? Bring in Groudon and try to use EQ against a +2/+2 Def/Atk Dialga and get KO'd by Outrage? Or bring in Shedinja and do massive damage with X Scissor until it runs out of PP and you're fucked?

Bulk Up dialga isn`t hard to handle, I can either switch in Groudon after its crippled or my own dialga and do some good damage, blissey isnt a problem, and i dont know will o wisp is a filler to cripple rpgroudon (as a last resort).
so it would be helpful if anyone could suggest something over will-o-wisp (i dont like outrage beeing revenge killed just because blissey sucks.

On second thought, I was wrong. Will-O-Wisp actually does help you, mainly against bu dialga. First you can heal block them and while they're outraging, waiting for it to wear off, you can Burn them and whenever heal block wears off you can just reenforce it until they're KO'd.
