Hello everyone, I usually don't post RMT's (I think people make my team worse.), but today I decided I want your input on this team. (I hope that didn't come out the wrong way...)
This team wins ~70% of the time on the ladders, it gained me many, many points in 2 hours of non-constant playing. I currently rest at 1440 and that number is rising. NOTE: My playstyle is very weird, I thrive on unusualness and gimmicks. I do use standard sets, but only if it suits my needs and only if the entire team isn't standard. Also, I hate entry hazards.
Let's see the members, shall we?
I don't like the way they are staring at my username. ;=;
The aim of this team is to quickly annihilate the opponent by passing boosts to the rest of the team from the get go, but if that fails, I can just force my way through my opponents.
A look into the Depths:
Ninjask @ Liechi Berry
226 Attack \ 108 Defence \ 176 Speed (Jolly)
-X-Scissor
-Baton Pass
-Substitute
-Swords Dance
Why Ninjask?
I actually took this lead from a topic in Stark (not the Creative Movesets thread). Liechi berry makes sure that if I pass, I am passing at least a little attack. When facing Deoxys, I can usually expect a taunt, so I X-scissor first, then I get the speed boost and outspeed them, so they can not set up Rocks. This thing can set up on most of the common leads, except for Deoxy-A (2hko'd by ES), Deoxys-S (Taunt, but it also doesn't fulfill its purpose), and Scarfrai/Scarf Shaymin-S. I do not run into Deoxys-A/Scarfrai/Scarf Shaymin-S that often.
But...who does it pass to?
In the event both of my main receivers would be 1hko'd, I pass speed to Kyogre, who then proceeds to rip into the opposing team.
In the event of an Ice or Stone move being targeted at me, I pass to Scizor after Liechi activates. He hits the enemy hard then Baton Passes out when he runs into trouble.
In the event of almost any other typed move aimed at me, I will Sub down to liechi while attempting to SD and pass to Rayquaza who can then either SD up further, or just start killing things.
Next up is.....
Rayquaza @ Lum Berry
242 Attack \ 252 Speed \ 16 S.pa (Naughty)
-Swords Dance
-Extreme Speed
-Flamethrower
-Outrage
Why Rayquaza?
This beast is my main receiver. Swords dance allows me to boost up even further, or function if my baton pass fails horribly. While receiving speed and having Extremespeed seems redundant, it is actually quite useful. It is a decent-powered attack with priority that allows me to function outside of a baton pass against a faster enemy. Also, it saves me against rare Ice Shard users. Flamethrower is for those pesky steels that would wall me otherwise. It hits their lower defense stat and usually 1hko's them. Outrage is an outrageously powerful STAB attack that cuts through teams like a knife through butter. Lum berry allows me to come in unscathed against a Status move. If no status move was used, it cures confusion after an outrage, allowing me to continue my sweep unhindered. I love this guy.
But wait...don't Ninjask and Rayquaza share weaknesses??
Why yes, yes they do, that is why I have this guy....
Scizor @ Occa Berry
164 Attack \ 136 Speed \ 208 Sp.Def (Adamant) (Technician)
-Baton Pass
-Bug Bite
-Brick Break
-Bullet Punch
Why Scizor??
I made this Scizor myself, it kind of sucks, but it is good at the same time. In the event something like a Leadogre is locked into Ice beam (A lot of them Ice Beam my Ninjask, even though Water Spout would do so much more to my team), I go to Scizor to start damaging the opposing team. The Speed EV's allow passed speed to be useful, the attack EV's are for power, and the Sp.Def EV's with the Careful nature allow me to take special attacks slightly better. Occa Berry in the Rain from my Kyogre is very very useful for my Scizor. I had this copied before I started copying the links for the pictures here, but a Fire Blast from a Dialga did 53% to this Scizor, and I finished it off (It was weakened.) Brick Break is so I don't lose my attack boosts, while still hitting steels. Bug bite is for power, being a 120 base power move after STAB and Technician. Bullet Punch is Scizor's main move, why would I not use it? It also lets be bluff band and act as a revenge killer. Baton Pass is for when I run into trouble, I baton pass Ninjask's boosts out to either Tyranitar or Rayquaza (Since they both resist fire, and cover different Neutral attacks.)
Speaking of Tyranitar.....
Tyranitar @ Choice Band
252 HP \ 40 Attack \ 216 S.Def (Adamant)
-Pursuit
-Earthquake
-Crunch
-Stone Edge
Why Tyranitar?
I plucked this right from the analysis, using the bulkier EV spread, but with an Adamant nature. This places Psychics in a difficult position, get crunched, or get pursuited. While probably the slowest thing in ubers, this thing can take a hit. A Mewtwo Aura Sphere will not 1hko this beast, but a specstwo's sphere will. Earthquake is for steels and Stone edge is for Dark resists and Flying types. Pursuit helps my team a lot, I come in on a resist or something that I know will run, and pursuit them as they run, usually killing them. I don't really have much to say about this pokemon, it's pretty basic, but very effective.
Next up we have....
Kyogre @ Leftovers
116 HP \ 140 Speed \ 252 Sp.A (Modest)
-Surf
-Thunder
-Ice Beam
-Sleep Talk
Why Kyogre?? And you have Sleep Talk, where is rest?
This set is in the analysis under the name "Diverse Ogre". It is my teams sleep absorber, it is also insanely awesome. Surf, Thunder, and Ice beam provide almost perfect coverage, coming off of base 150 Special attack. No laughing matter. Sleep talk allows it to fulfill its role of taking sleep, annoying Darkrais everywhere. I do not run rest for two reasons. A: The set in the analysis doesn't. and B: I despise Restalk because it only works if I am not 3hko'd by something, which is rare. Once again there is not much to say about this pokemon because it is pretty basic. I find it to be the weak link on my team, but I don't know if I will replace it, because the rain caused by Drizzle allows Scizor to use Occa Berry, while also serving as a nice answer to many pokemon.
This team looks like it could be easily swept by faster pokemon, what do you do to stop that?
I use this guy...
Garchomp @ Choice Scarf
252 Speed \ 252 Attack \ 4 Hp (Jolly)
-Outrage
-Earthquake
-Dragon Claw
-Toxic I need better filler here, but not Stone Edge.
Why Garchomp?
Why Garchomp? Why because it is one of my all-time favorite Scarfers. Outrage is for late game, something that is not KO'd by Dragon Claw or EQ, and for when I have nothing better to use. Earthquake is for coverage, providing almost perfect coverage with Dragon moves. Dragon Claw is for when I do not want to get locked into Outrage. Toxic is really just filler, but helps against Lugia. This thing keeps me from getting swept from a faster 'mon when my baton pass fails. 102 Base speed allows me to get the jump on Scarf Palkia, along with other base 100's. I have been saved multiple times by it. I've seen a lot of Haban Berry 'Chomps recently, and I think that Scarfchomp is way better than Habanchomp, there's not really a reason, but I find the extra speed a lot more useful, but to each their own.
Hmm, Interesting. I think I am ready to rate your team now.
Cool, please rate. ;)
The biggest threats to this team is Calm Mind Kyogre and Bulk Up Dialga btw. They are very annoying to fight and I usually lose to them, but I don't see them often.
