Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Hey is there any way to to just add a couple of minutes to the second counter to get some time (since I am hitting my target time and not delay)?

Yeah, just add an extra 60 seconds to the first timer (so it should be 120 or 120.something), and synch a minute early. It will take longer but you will be SRing at the same time.

oH So my first counter will be 120.2 and my second counter will be still be 10.66 and that will work correctly so that I can start hitting my delay?

Wait now that I think about it that won't work at all lol because you still don't have enough time to enter the game. I think you're going to just have to search for a higher delay, because I don't know how to do it otherwise. Maybe someone else does?

Yeah and unfortunately all the spreads in the wondercard section can't use emloop well. So my only other choice is recalibration and if you said it can be done, it can be done =D

What do you mean recalibration? All you have to do is use Wichu's program and search for delays of 900+ and you should be fine.

Edit: And PM me if you need more help, I feel like a spammer.

Thanks for your help RK. I finally randomly ran into my seed and figured out that I had a roamer >.< Got it anyway...

Thanks so much for your help. :)

I swear I'm having these same problems I did with past methods. That whole "Mash A as rapidly as possible to get through the game's intro as quickly as possible." thing makes my seconds keep going down, but it's not like I can reduce it a little to make it match up, or I'd have to do that each different time.

Okay, I'm starting to go crazy.

Breeding shinys is a snap of my fingers for me now, but trying to get perfect IVs for my eggs is maddening. I can semi reliably hit my delay of 598 without problem at all, but the frame number is the bane of my existance despite this being something like the 7th or so time I've done this.

Target frame is 8 and my base this time is 7
The last 15 tries I've tried to hit it went something like as follows
11
11
9
9
7
9
7
7
9
9
7
7
7
9
9

Seed is 2510025F, I managed to do a pokemon the day before this (which had a base delay of 5) using the exact same seed, I managed to hit frame 8 on something like my 7th try. Now when I try I just cannot seem to find a way to get an even frame number. This is especially maddening because when I change my target seed for one that's an odd number frame I seem to always hit only even numbers instead.

In short, is there any reliable way for me to add just 1 to my frame number or otherwise reliably hit my target frame? I tried talking to the guy when the "Soalce town" text is partway down into position, frame 7. I talk when it just gets into position, frame 9. I just can't seem to win :(

Well here is a trick I use:

Use the journal flips to advance your frame, instead of just checking your frame, try hitting your desired spread, check your frame when you hit your spread, if it's odd/even (depens on your preference) then repeat the process except use the journal flip to advance to desired frame....almost always works for me...tough some higher frames (40-50+) sometimes change to odd to even when im using this method, I dunno if it's because a minute passes while im on the journal page but whatever...so it's not always a guarantee.

So basicly:
-Catch Wild Pokemon
-Hit desired spread (time/delay)
-Check hit frame (odd or even)
**If your frame isn't odd/even, back two days on your DS clock, save at another moment reposition yourself so the Daycare man talks to you.
-Advance back your day to the desired spread, journal will pop up with ''Caught [/insert Pokemon here] at [/insert location here]
-Do the amount of journal flips needed to advance your frame
-Check IV's

If it doesn't work I apologise but that's the way I use it and it's a time saver from what I was doing before.
Tough instead of waiting for the external clock reaches X:00, ready DS clock, then wait another couple of seconds to start emloop each time to restart my game, I just start a timer at the same time, then wait about 40 seconds then start emloop at the same time as my game... so that makes things alot quicker as well.

So if you miss your delay alot/easily and you wait for the external clock to reach zero, synchronise with the external clock, wait another ''x'' number of seconds to start your game and emloop...then I think it might just be another time waister.

Went back in time a few days and did some stuff and saved, came back and tried again. Frame 7.

Tried waiting on the journal screen for a full 60 seconds, frame 7.

Mabe I'm missing what you mean or something, because I'm still getting frame 7 here :(
Any other ideas?

I'd still like to know why every time I smash A as fast and as much as possible for emloop, why when I check my results, the seconds is always below me. Sometimes it's 6 seconds below or 20 seconds. One thing for sure is that it's never constant.

Amplify, there's no reliable way to advance 1 frame while going for egg IVs. I would say find a new target that is odd, since you seem to be getting odd frames quite a lot. I always try to save at a point where at least the NPCs on my screen are not moving around when I enter the game. This helps for the frame to be much more consistent.

JRT, what do you mean smashing A for emloop? There is no reason to smash A on emloop unless your delay is very close to what it normally is. You're supposed to go through the intro, wait, and press A on the continue screen when the second time reaches all zeroes.

One thing I'm wondering now, is it possible to do more than 1 pokemon in a single frame? Becuase I used the exact same frame for my Mudkip, now my Gible just cannot hit it at all. Kinda wondering if it's the game stopping me from getting another poke on the exact same frame.

Anyway, Guess I'll look for another seed for now.

No, the frame is based upon NPC movements prior to picking up the egg. This means that the starting frame will change every time you save your game, because the NPCs are doing different movements every time. It's not very likely that you'll be able to use the same frame every time, because you usually have a variation in the starting frame you hit.

I was just following step 8:

Step 8:
Mash A as rapidly as possible to get through the game's intro as quickly as possible. Pause on the continue screen (shown below) until emloop's time runs out, at which time you should press A to load your game.

This is before I adjust my frames and start sr'ing for real. I would have to press A anyway to get to the continue screen, so that confuses me a bit.

Uh...that's not what I meant at all... =o I might have wrongly explained it then

If your stuck on an odd frame go back two days, save another position or time (so the frame can be even), hit your target time and delay, basically your spread, check the frame, if it's odd, reset hit back your spread then just proceed doing the journal flip so it advances the frame by two each time you flip on a page with [/insert Pokemon here] caught on [/insert day here].

I have one question though. I can't download the rng generator. I was wondering if someone can help me with that. Unless someone knows a safe zip uploader to download that can be installed by everyone and not just the admin?

And another question. Does it matter what Pokemon you catch over level 50 for this to work?

hey is it possible for a spread to not exist?

i posted a question earlier (like 4 posts ago) and I can't find that spread at all
im looking at emerald spreads, with splits option on

Nearly there :D

I have to say that's quite a wide delay spread. Hopefully you can get it more consistent as you keep trying.

Why can't you download it? What exactly is the error message you're getting?

For calibration, any high level caught Pokemon is fine. It doesn't have to be the same one each time. Static legendaries work (I calibrated on Dialga). Wondercard Pokemon won't work properly. Make sure you don't have a synchroniser for calibration, but you will want one for actual catching.
