anyone else think latias in OU is retarded?

Just because it's not insanely broken doesn't mean its a good idea.

I feel like it was one of those things people wanted to do because it hasn't happened before.

I feel like it was well-thought out, and that it went through the exact same process as the other suspects did. I'm sure the people who worked hard on their essays and on developing and refining their arguments (on both sides) really appreciate you claiming they did it just for the hell of it.

If you think it's so retarded, use Serebii's. They still have Latias as Uber.

Oh dear God I hope I didn't offend anybody



Real question, I'm thinking of trying to build a team around RP Torterra in UU, how viable would this be with the current UU metagame (Cress and all)

Anybody know who would team up well with that?

You wouldn't have to worry about Cress, as she and Porygon-Z were recently voted BL (my question: anyone know exactly when that takes effect on Shoddy?).

Lucky you don't, too, as Cresselia would survive just about anything Torterra could throw at it and demolish it with Ice Beam.

Also, just another note, the Latias suspect test isn't quite finished yet. It may end up Uber, or it may not. I recommend following the topics where suspects are discussed (I did for Raikou and Froslass in the UU forums); it gives you an idea of just how much thought goes into the tiering process and just how valid both sides' arguments are. I personally don't like Latias in OU, as I think the centralization around Dragon and Steel it caused is awful, but to call it retarded is just ignoring the entire suspect process.

Thank you for the thought out response. Yeah, I really hope it gets kicked out of OU, it may not be blatantly broken but I don't believe it's good for the metagame, and it allows much less variation. I am fairly educated on the process, just always stop playing, then start again, etc.

Would a Jirachi using a Draco Meteor focused build, be viable, and how would you go about it? I'm looking at a Modest or Mild nature. What would you all reccomend?

Draco Meteor on Jirachi isn't too great. Go with a mild nature, since Modest lowers your attack. I guess you could try a mixed set like this:

Jirachi @ Life Orb
Mild Nature
Trait: Serene Grace
96Atk/252Spe/160SpAtk
-Draco Meteor
-Fire Punch
-Iron Head
-Thunderpunch
 
I think Blaziken in UU or Infernape in OU would be a great team mate at the very least as Torterra's counters tend to be Skarmory and Celebi in OU and things like Tangrowth in UU.

It will Auto Restore you to full PP AFAIK.
 
Where should I hatch a Piplup? Twinleaf town, Iron Island, or one of the lakes? I'm leaning with Twinleaf at the moment..

Since Torterra has a big Ice weakness, I would recommend using Milotic al a partner. It resist Ice and is a pain to take down. It can also stall some pokemon down, making the way for a Torterra sweep

I meant who is the artist that drew the badges on site? Or did they lift them straight from the game?
 
Zen headbutt has its uses against the Rotom formes which love to switch into Metagross, and hits hard Zapdos. Psychic seems a very bad move on Meta tbh.
 
When using the likes of Froslass and Jynx in Hail with just one attacking move, should it be Blizzard, or Ice Beam due to PP drying out very quickly?

depends alot of the rest of the team but as a sweper then blizzard is a good choice but if stalling ( if using blukyfroslass) then ice beam is proberly the better option
