Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Has anyone on here RNG'd on Route 225 before? I'm trying to get a Makuhita, and the route is huge; there's so many NPCs here. By the time I use the VS Seeker on 4 of them, the first of them is not willing to battle anymore, which I assume means that it is advancing the frame again. Does anyone have any advice for me? There are no "breaks" in this route (like how some are divided into Route x North and Route x South, where NPCs on one don't affect the other), are there?

If it's the same place where Makuhita swarms in Platinum (I have two), iirc you only have to use VS seeker on the three trainers that are close to each other when you enter from the south side of the route. All the others are still. Keep in mind, you don't need to use VS seeker on anything, just the NPCs that move.

Is there a HG/SS RNG guide out yet? Release date is Sunday....

If you are talking about Platinum, then there is only one NPC which is PKMN Trainer♀ Ashley (or Ashlee). Is the one on the top left of that group of 3 trainers at the beginning of the route (coming south from Battle Frontier). Hope that helps

No it wont
The ONLY Pages that will advance the RNG are ones with Caught or Defeated ___ Pokemon on it

I know our normal delays are different between games, but if you calibrate using one of the wichu spreads, can you use that on another game so you don't have calibrate again for that game?

It's rare I ask questions, I prefer to try and find the answer on my own. But, I can't seem to figure this one out.

On RNG reporter, if a nature is gray on the list of spreads once you generate the spreads with a given seed, what exactly does that mean?

I ask because I'm working on a Jirachi and when I hit the seed and advance to the target frame, I'm not getting the spread I'm attempting to hit.

Seed: 940e04e6
Method 1
Frame: 11
Date: 03/10/10
Time: 14:59:59
Delay: 1244
Journal flips: 5 - No wondering Pokemon.

If it helps to know, I have successfully RNG abused a Wondercard Pokemon in the past.

I believe the gray just means that it's not a very useful nature (either neutral, or minus one defense plus the other). If you're doing WonderCards, though, you shouldn't be seeing any natures, as the PIDs of WonderCard Pokémon (which control nature, ability, and gender) are generated through a separate and currently unknown RNG (called the ARNG)... you just have to get lucky on the nature. Make sure you're using the WonderCard option under the drop-down menu for "Method."

Ah, thank you very much! I see now that the frame should be 13 not 11. Now I'm confused how I was able to RNG the last Wondercard, unless the Wondercard drop-down option had completely slipped my mind in the time since I did the Arceus.

Thank you so much again!

Does the act of jumping into the water (An area with wild Pokemon) advance the frame at all, or do you actually have to move once in the water to advance the frame? Thanks.

I'm trying to rng for a shiny timid vulpix egg with 31/24/31/31/31/31/31 it's on frame 6 with a 608 delay and my save frame is 4. I do 1 page flip (It opened on a page with a caught Pokemon). I get the egg and hit the seed but then I check the iv's they're not right so I catch a Pokemon and it says I'm on frame 5. Can somone tell me why it says I'm on frame 5.

You most likely collected the egg too fast. When you did frame callibration, you collected the egg a split second after you're collecting it now. Try searching for a spread that's on frame 5. If that doesn't work, then resave and do frame callibration again.

hmmm... I seem to be doing something wrong... i'm trying to get the Gamestop Jirachi (first wondercard RNG) and i'm going trying to hit frame 114... I have a roamer out (just one) so I do the correct ammount of flips... and the IVs are incorrect (i'm going for the seed 52140289 with all 31s) what I got was 2/10/30/31/31/31.... what am I doing incorrectly? (Sandgem pokemart by the way, and NO, the guy didnt take a step before I got the Jirachi....)
