Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Can someone please point me to a guide to method K or explain to me?
I been searching for it on smogon for the last couple of days :(
What di you want to know about it? there is no written guide for any HG/SS RNG mechanics yet just the PRNG thread with its bits of information

I know the guide havent been made since there no journals or page flips.
I want to know about how I would go about capturing a pokemon like sudowodo?

Edit and what method K is for?

PokéRNG D/P version 1.1 is released; check the second post :)

I re-added CSV output (in a slightly different format), but more importantly, I wrote some algorithms for calculating Method J and K frames for any spread. So now you don't have to keep checking RNG Reporter to find out if a spread is obtainable with your chosen method or not (you still need it for the Seed to Time function, though) :P

It's great that you added J and K Support, but the "Frames - 1" displaying is a bit confusing.
Just "Frames" would be much easier to understand imo.

Okay, I still need some clarification on the definition of the terminology.

RNG Guide said:
Before beginning your quest for perfect IVs, it is advisable that you spend some time collecting data about your usual delays and the number of seconds it takes to go from a reset to the game world.

Isn't the bolded part exactly what the delay is? The calibration steps give me a delay # in the 600s and a seconds value in the teens. Are they supposed to match up with the formula "60 x seconds = delay value?"

I can figure out how to utilize the seconds value when I try to hit a target time but I have no clue what I'm supposed to do with the delay value. :[

Ahem. Anybody?

The bolded is the seconds it takes you from when you reset to clicking "continue" on the game.

Syncronize Time is subracting the seconds from your target time and removing a full second. This is the time which you well set on your DS.

The reset time is your target time subract the number of seconds it takes for you to get from resetting to hitting continue

The delay is just a number that you ust hit in order to hit your selected spread. If you don't hit it, you wont hit the spread you want.

AH, got it.

Also, are these two dogs method J ?

I am going to try Pehu's suggestion and use sweet scent I think... since I'm not aiming for a shiny...hope this works!

there is no method J in HG/SS its method K and no the dogs are method 1

One question!
The Pichu event is a wondercard, right? So it will appear automatically in my party?
Does Pichu's wondercard have an initial frame or something?
Its my first time abusing a wondercard xP

I don't quite have RNGing down, although I understand the concept.

I have two questions:
1.) How do I set my starting seed to a specific seed? If its not possible, why is there a list of seeds for flawless spreads here?: http://www.smogon.com/ingame/rng/dpp_rng_part5

2.) I can't quite figure out how to use the RNG reporter to tell me what starting time I need. After I enter in my starting seed and hit generate, when I right-click on a spread I want, there is no option for "Generate Times" as stated in the guide here:
http://www.smogon.com/ingame/rng/dpp_rng_part4

For reference, I am using the RNG reporter 7.10 version.

In-game, I'm standing right in front of Shaymin.

No
The calibrated seconds are how quickly you can enter the world.
Delays are basically the amount of time that pass before you enter the world about 60 x # of secs

Also no they really dont match the formula
my delay is 600 and 602 and my seconds are 14

60 x 14 = 840

Dark ryu

Pichu frame is 1
so its (whatever frame you going for) - 1(for pichu) -# of roamersd

And yes it will and only can appear in your party.

If you trying to used a seed that is listed in a guide, just copy and paste it in the seed hex.

Edit I re-read your post.
Are you using a seed from the guide?

If so just plug the seed in the seed hex,
Have a sync of the nature in the 1st slot of your party.
Generate seed to time
and find a time

If this is the wrong thread to ask this, forgive me. Does anyone have any AR codes for English HGSS yet? Specifically, I'd really like an IV check code. That's basically all I need.

For the first question, you'll want to plug a seed from the list into the Seed to Time finder. That'll give you a list of times/frames/delays to get to that seed.

Are you using the Time Finder?

But there's only room for one seed there. If I use it to tell me how long to get TO that seed, how does it know what seed I started at? Do I leave my starting seed entered in the main page of the RNG reporter and enter the desired seed in the Seed to Time finder?

I confused....

When you are doing a rng of capturing pokemon, you dont need an initial seed.
Just plug the seed from the list in the seed hex and find the spread and do the steps

You enter the desired seed into Seed to Time, then it'll give you a list of dates/frames that will make you start at the seed you want.

By the way, is the time that the Seed to Time finder gives me the time that I hit Continue on the DS screen, or on the Pokemon game screen, or when I interact with the pokemon?
