Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Can someone tell me why I keep getting 8 frames higher than my actual frame I get my frame then talk to suicune and then I get 8 frames higher than what I need.
My frames are 493, 497, 499, 501, 505 and 507 and the actual is 508. I'm using a bold synchroniser as well so I don't know if that does anything to the frames.
Random advancements happen sometimes, but if your consistantly 8 frames higher, why not aim for 493 because 8 frames higher than that is 501 so no problem

I just tried all of them again and they all advance the frame to 514 or 515 and sometimes even higher o_O. I might just let that suicune go (31/14/31/31/31/31) because I found 2 more useable spreads. One has 31/6/31/30/31/30 hp fire 70 lol and the oother on has 31/6/31/30/31/29 grass 64. I'm not really going for a hp but they just eneded up having those hp's which were ok
 
While fishing (Method J) Does using the rod twice throw off your frame? If so, how can I manipulate it that the rod will catch something at the first try?
 
What's this I'm seeing about Sweet Scent not being consistent in HG/SS? Is it not always +2 or +3 frames (depending on where you use it) from your starting frame (0 + number of roamers) like it is in D/P/Pt?
I haven't had any problems with Sweet Scenting. I am not sure if it the same as DPPt though.

[Starting] 1 + 1 = 2
[After 1 Sweet Scent and Battle] 3 + 6 = 9 + 1 = 10
[After 2 Sweet Scents and Battles] 19 + 6 = 25 + 1 = 26

Start on frame 1 and then advance by 1 when using Sweet Scent [sweet scent will always advance by 1]. So the pokemon you get will be a frame 2 pokemon. After that, you take the "Actual Frame" of the pokemon found in RNG Reporter [in this case 3] and add 6 because of the battle. Now you are on frame 9. Sweet scent once again, increasing your frame by 1 to get a frame 10 pokemon. Again take the "Actual Frame" [19] and add it by 6. Now you are on frame 25. If you sweet scent again, then you will get to 26. And so on and so forth.

This has been the case for me thus far in HG Abuse.
 
The actual frame. Isn't it different on each seed, like on one seed, Frame 3 is Actual Frame 9 but on another seed it's actual Frame 10. Or maybe I'm wrong but that's how I interpreted it. Still waiting on Shiny Gyarados...

That was just an example. Actual frames change with seed as well as with Synchs. You have to do some calculating if you want to advance frames solely through Sweet Scent, but it's pretty easy in my opinion
 
Few questions...

1. In FR/LG, the pokémon there, are they generated through method 1 or 2? I'm talking about legends, mostly Mewtwo.
2. Is getting a Method 2 pokémon easier on a normal game or VBA? (Emerald)
3. Is Latios on Southern Islands spread determined when you talk to the stone, or when the battle begins?
4. The frame skip option, like if I put it to nine, will I skip nine more frames on every ordinary frame? Like instead of 1 I do 10? So that would mean 600 frames/sec instead of 60 frames/sec? (VBA)

To one I've got an answer, I think. They're 1.

1. FR/LG isn't quite cracked, but it's method 1 i believe
2. i think that's personal preference. vba is a easier because you can just get to the frame and never have to go back imo.
3. when the battle begins, always when the battle begins

someone answer my damn question about the red gyarados at the lake of rage! I asked if it's possible to RNG it because i read previously that it wasn't. I would really appreciate it if someone answered this question because i really want to get on with the game!

Ah thanks, I know about FR/LG's "problem", but I think I can make it work. If not, well too bad.

Using the rod and getting a "Not even a nibble" reading advances your frame by one. RNG Reporter will tell you if that frame will get you a bite on the first try when you calculate its encounter sot.
 
In the calibration, do the pokemon to be caught necessarily have to be above 50 or is it OK if i caught some 48's and 49's. There might be an error with my results. <_<
 
no, its ok. it even works with 20's on occasion. its just calculating ivs thats it and the higher the level the better.

someone still has to tell me how to RNG the Red Gyarados in HG/SS.
 
Right im really struggling to hit the seed I need. Im setting the ds to one min before the target time, using pika timer I then load the game, and wait till the minutes up, then I reset, and hit a till I pass continue, and then I turn the journal the following number of times; Target frame - Starting Frame / 2, so 4 turns, but Ive read that the journals first page counts as one turn? Either way, I just cant seem to hit the right seed (I verify with the coin flip app). Any tips?
 
find the seed you are hitting and adjust. each flip moves the frame up two, so calculate accordingly. and no where did you mention the second pika timer. it should go for about a minute, then you soft reset, then it should restart by itself and count down about 15 seconds(depending on your delay) and when this timer goes off you press a on the continue screen.

I can tell you in my experience on my Japanese Heart Gold cart that if you hit the exact same seed the same NPC will move the same number of times in the same amount of time (at least in my experience several times), so you can calibrate for his movement probably.

That's all the info you need.

I'll back mattj up with that, on a certain seed the NPCs will move the same way in the same amount of time. I even used this to my advantage in Pewter city to capture a shiny HP fire latios almost Emerald style.

And I will also verify the Red Gyarados is chained shiny PID, I converted mine to .pkm and ran it thru legal and it showed as chained shiny.
