Think about the mentioning of it like being the sprite you see outside of battle for every other legendary. Only when you trigger the fight does the nature/ivs get set.

Well, what I've done so far is soft reset right before walking into the Pokemon Fan Club and getting the pokedoll for the mimic girl and then what I do is walk in, obtain the doll and exit and have Steven talk to me and then from there I track down Latios. It's rather time consuming so if there is a quicker way to keep checking it's stats/nature/IV's, I'd like to know of it. lol I hate my current method right now. lol

if you have a level 1 misdreavus pain splits, will it do alot or a little bit. Thank you!

so lets say you have a Level 50 Wailord

If misdreavus has 11 health, (i think) and the wailord has like 400+ hp, will it do 389 damage? That is my question
 
Also, hard to look at Latios' movesets with the 500 internal server error Smogon is having, but would you guys keep this Latios or look for a different one?

Naive (strong willed)
HP: 110 (26-28 IV's)
Attack: 72 (12-14 IV's)
Defense: 68 (20-22 IV's)
Sp. Att: 104 (23-25 IV's)
Sp. Def: 82 (29-31 IV's)
Speed: 99 (23-25 IV's)

I was looking for a Timid one, but this one is pretty decent and it does have a positive speed nature too...

Thinking of maybe running a mixed set with this one. Dragon Dance, Outrage, other filler move and maybe some sort of high powered special move? Is it pointless to run both Outrage and Draco Meteor on the same set? (creating first ever wifi Uber team BTW ATM).

Last quick question... I am new to EV's... and yeah, I'm getting totally confused. Tell me if I got it right:

- Get the Pokemon you want to EV train
- Find an area to battle Pokemon depending on the desired EV
- 4 Points = 1 Stat.

So let's say I battle tons of Unowns... and they give 1EV each in Attack&Sp.Attack. After 4 battles with them... that's the max I can do at that level? Or can I fight as many battles with as I want until I reach 255 EV?

You can battle as many as you want, but you'd want to go for 252, since the extra 3 EVs are a waste.

Its not pointless, it can be a decent surprise set, but other things do it better in Ubers.

For everyone: You can see the pokemon's analysis(item nature moves etc) by going here and choosing the set name.

What are Latios's main counters in Ubers? Kyogre? Scizor? Steel types? Other Dragons? Sorry for the random questions, but I can't check Latios' entire analysis ATM to find out. :(

Thanks!... Does this mean I would only need 155 EV's for Att. if I were to give my Totodile 10 Proteins? Sorry for the novice questions :/

Yes, as 10x10=100 and 155+100=255 .

You might want to look into Power Items (items that boost the amount of EVs you get per battle) and IVs.

Great IVs and are what separate amazing from good.

No it will not do 389 damage. Endeavor would but not Pain Split.

In game does Tailwind last 3 turns or 1-3 turns?

It adds them together and averages them out. So if it had 399(for example), it plus 11 is 410. 410/2=205. So it would take 194 damage in that example.

This question has suddenly gained my interest, in Bulbapedia nothing seems to indicate that Rare Candies cannot be obtained from Berry Juice. In fact, the statement "If held even longer, the Berry Juice will harden and turn into a Rare candy. " seems rather categoric.
 
Hi. I bought HG and started the game yesterday. I got a shiny starter completely by chance. I was aiming for a certain nature, but after only three soft resets, one of the starters showed up shiny. I was wondering if I calculate my SID for my HG game the same as for Diamond or Pearl?
 
When a pokémon with two possible abilities evolves, when and how the ability of its evolved form determined?
I have a Zigzagoon with Pickup— which is the ability I want it to keep— but after multiple attempts, it always seems to have Gluttony as a Linoone. Is there a chance it could have Pickup, or is it predestined to have Gluttony?

There is a chance for both abilities. It depends on certain "hidden" numbers
 
I just had an IV battle to check the IV's of my event Jirachi (which has Draco Meteor).

Mild Nature
31/25/13/25/7/31

I can't really redo this (As I only had one Wonder Card). I was wondering what I can possibly make this Jirachi into. I was thinking mixed; moves, EV's, and suggestions are welcome.
