Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

I never said "everything produced on an emulator" was not tradable. I have said (in the past) that I would prefer that people disclose the fact that they captured it on an emu (it's fair and the right thing to do). Sorry if OmegaDonut was not clear there.

I always found it odd that people were more obsessed about the pokés' legitimacy than people not even owning the original carts, though. I kind of have the same peeve about Youtube battlers...

Can someone give me a link to good Method 1 spreads. Sorry if I can't find them myslef but there is a lot on the first page.

Edit: Yeah what Pokemon Coordinater wants. One post up.

Hmm, why doesn't this spread appear in RNGReporter?
(this was from Wichu's program, by the way):
3671726280F a6ba0314 (MODEST, ability 0) 30/26/31/30/26/31 (Seed: 0314079b Frame: 3) HP POISON 70 !!!
I'd like to use it for Riley's Riolu egg. I realise the HP isn't ideal, but still. Any tips?

Doing some tests on Latias. Its initial frame is not always consistent but 9 appears very often. There IS an HP Fire spread on Frame 9.
PID: 8755dfca (TIMID, ability 0) 30/16/31/30/31/30 (Seed: 040107fd Frames - 1: 9, J (synch): 4, J (no synch): None, K (synch): 2, K (no synch): None) HP FIRE 68
I will be RNG'ing for her shortly. If the initial frame is at least consistent with each seed, I can work with that. Also, for Lugia, is there no radio reception for ALL of the whirl islands or just for its room?

Does entering the cave where Lugia is at advance the frame? Does the same apply to going up the ladder before Ho-oh?

Still wondering about this guys.

Also does the radio station matter on the bottom right? Or is it always a consistent 1, no matter what's playing?

Here is the thing:

If you use a code/recompile the emulator/poke values into the memory of the emulator that control the seed you have effectively taken out every last bit of random and, more importantly, did something that you could not do with a cartridge. So *this* is what I am saying would be considered as "hacked" and I really didn't want to encourage people to do this sort of thing and then use the pokemon to trade here.

Couldn't agree more. I even think that being able to know (by using the memory of the game) the exact frame where you are is too much, actually.

Sorry for being misconstruing (or putting words into mingot's mouth, as it were). Not everyone considers emulator Pokemon kosher, even if the data is produced exactly the same way. It's why we ask people to disclose if they use fast egg codes and the like.

Although I should point out that when people redistribute others' Pokemon, they often don't mention if that other person used AR\emulators in the process. I strongly suspect Kazo's Suicunes are some of those, and Negator certainly does use emulators in his RNG abuse of Fire Red. If kosher is what you want, these may not be the forums for you.

no... walking into the caves doesn't advance it.... and the bottom right is ALWAYS 1 iirc....

It depends on what station is on the bottom right. There's a chart on the second post of this thread.

As I recall the memory itself although can tell you your current seed and the initial one, won't tell you your frame, this does Kazos PRNG Frame Calc.
And yeah it is. It was very useful for Research Process but as soon as it was clear that the radio is constant, it became rather possible to RNG it also a real cart.
As you do if I recall correctly, huh Pehu?^^
Still sucks that we don't have a fast and nice method to actually verify the seed but besides that it is very possible to RNG things on a real cart.
Maybe the Starter aside.
Btw: Has anyone ever RNGed succesfully a starter on a real cart in HG/SS?

Btw: Has anyone ever RNGed succesfully a starter on a real cart in HG/SS?

acinod was in the process of doing so, I think he got as far learning how to RNG his ID\SID.

But it's possible, so long as you search for spreads on frames 1, 5, and 9.

The Emloop timer is not working for me right now??
I put 2679 as my delay and it converted it to 44.65 seconds.
Then I put in 60 seconds for my pre-delay.

Then when I use the timer, after it counts down the pre-delay, it just stays at zero and doesn't count down 44.65 seconds
Is there any option that might do this. I double checked it with Syberia's guide and everything looks right. Plus I have used emloop many times before and never had this problem.

RNG Abuse Help. :/

Sigh, I've been trying to get this RNG thing for 92387012840924 days to IV Breed a 31/31/31/x/31/31 Adamant Heracross. I'm at the point where I'm saved in front of the Day Care Man. I've had these following problems:

(1) I've tried to figure my Save Frame, but I continue to get 6/7 alternating; thus, I don't know which one it is.

(2) When I finally hatch the egg and I look for the resulting egg, I can't find the egg in the "Adjacent Spreads."

Any tips? :[

alright I am saved right outside Lugia's cave. The frame I am trying to hit is 473 so that means I have to turn 472 times cuz Lugia is frame 1 right? WOuld this work? Or is there a shorter way to do it? Also does using a max repel on myself so pokemon don't attack me advance the frames?

Ok, I have some questions regarding breeding in HGSS. I've already locked into my egg, but the problems I'm having are related to how I am going to calibrate my frame. I don't know if there's a method of seeing what frame you hit if you didn't get it.

Another question: I was given this list of spreads,

| D2080210 | 7 | B/31/31/B/B/31 | HP ELECTRIC 70; HP GROUND 70; 31 All Ivs |

| 7A040210 | 7 | B/30/30/31/B/B | HP ICE 70 |

| 5916020B | 13 | B/30/B/30/31/B | HP GRASS 70; HP FIRE 70 |
I was wondering if there were any more that I could use because the delay on these are too low for me to hit consistently, as I use PikaTimer to hit delays. :/

These are the most reliable ones but yeah there are more, you simply have to look for breeding spreads that contain only B inheritance and no A inheritance whatsoever, these will work just fine.

And yeah it really sucks hitting those delays, pretty hard:/

How do you figure out what frame you actually caught a pokemon on when you're RNGing? I've been trying to do it for Giratina in Distortion World for a while, but it never comes out right. I can hit the right seed consistently (coin flip checked), but apparently I'm not hitting the right frame and I don't know how to tell what frame I did get.

I know we get these questions all the time here, but really, if you would try to read the first posts and the guides there, this could spare a lot time.

Anyways:
Put the Seed if you are sure you hit the right one simply into RNG Reporter,
Catch Giratina, check its IVs and put them into RNG Reporter on your chosen seed and just compare the IVs of the caught one with the output spreads in RNG Reporter to see how many frames you was actually off.

Yeah Im having the same problem with Soul Silver. I put the seed in look on the time finder, hit the time exactly, then try to advance the frame to 473 by walking 236 steps - 1 for Lugia's frame number and I don't get my desired ivs. Am I doing something wrong? How can I check I got the seed right in Soul Silver anyway?

walking in an area with wild pokemon doesn't advance frames by 2 for each step. In HG/SS its highly inconsistent so DO NOT use walking in an area with wild pokemon to advance frames.
