The best troll out there is Rock Polish Regice, no question about that.
I trolled with one yesterday, and it was quite nice.

Rock Polish/Ice Beam/Thunderbolt or Charge Beam and another choice.
Focus Blast or Psych Up are the best options.

I LOLed at that set but it ended up sweeping me..it has a decent special attack paired with LO to finish off weakened teams and offensive teams lol

Actually this is interesting because Regice is fucking bulky so it should have no trouble getting in a RP. I'm tempted to try it out (probably better in NU because no Chansey down there).

I've seen that set... it's a huge douchebag. It's one of my least favorite sets to fight, because nothing short of scarfed Fighting-types like Medicham or Hitmonlee are shutting it down.

Great set. I'd personally put Explosion in the last slot to take out Chansey with.

I'd say toxic, substitute, and counter are the best options for the last slot

Toxic is good because once a bulky pokemon comes in that can stall out Regice, it will severely cripple it and it can continue sweeping, as the two out of the 3 good special walls in NU, that is grumpig and hypno, use special attacking moves and really cannot touch regice while it stalls them out. The other special wall, noctowl, can be taken out by 2 ice beams, possibly one depending on if it has taken SR damage and a little prior damage as well. Explosion wouldn't take any of them out with Regice's poor attack and heavy HP investment on their part.

Substitute is good to block status while setting up or get a protective barrier against an incoming counter.

Counter can make Regice bluff a curse set (or just a support pokemon in general) and maybe get a surprise OHKO against some opponents. Later in the match a seemingly slow, bulky regice can turn into a sweeper an catch the opponent of guard.

You really don't want to use Counter. If Hitmontop, Arcanine, or Aggron are in, they're just gonna kill your ass. It won't even work if your opponent does anything besides attack, like Twave or something. What kind of physical hit is Regice taking for that to be worth a slot over HP, Focus Blast, or Explosion? And Toxic on a sweeper set? Are you serious, man?

You should really test these things out before proposing inane theories.

Toxic is viable on sweepers that want to wear down their counters early and have extra space for it (Azumarill, Arcanine and Heracross (in OU) are good examples). And he was talking more in the context of NU where the special walls cant hit regice hard at all (base 200 SpD along with 80 HP) and can be worn down.

Counter I agree probably isnt good, but Hitmontop's Mach Punch does 74.4% - 88.4% so it could kill something out of surprise. Some other priority
-Morning Glory Arcanines E-Speed (33.9% - 39.9%)
-CBAzu's Aqua Jet (39.9% - 47.2%)
-LO Ambipom's Fake Out (35.2% - 41.9%)

I guess that more shows Regice's physical bulkiness more than anything (80/100 defenses are not bad at all)

All calcs are based on Regice's 301 HP and 236 physical defense.

~100 Attack Careful Registeel's Iron Head does 51.83% - 61.79%... making Counter a OHKO if registeel takes of 171 HP (the average it would take off) and if Registeel takes SR damage. Regice's main counter is down and it can sweep easier now.
~252 Attack Jolly Choice Band Drapion does 47.84% - 56.15%... counter is an easy OHKO even w/out SR.
252 HP, 172 Attack Impish Thick Fat Hariyama does 58.47% - 69.77% with force palm... An easy 2HKO with counter followed by a Thunderbolt. Versions with brick break can only roll 86% max. Revenge versions attack first since you are using the -5 Priority move Counter while they are using a -4 Priority move.

It isn't an insane theory at all... there are many situations where a pokemon will be up against Regice and a quick counter can ruin a team member who is vital to their team. Not every team even has a fighting type like hitmonlee so it definately has its uses. Also, Hitmonlee is almost always choiced so if you get a rock polish while they switch in, they aren't going to want to risk overpredicting and going for another move because you are a threat now. Pair this thing up with a ghost type sweeper like sub-charge rotom or NP mismagius and you can have a dangerous strategy going on. Hitmontop's main purpose is to rapid spin, so if it sees a situation of weakness where you will switch, it will rapid spin instead of CCing, allowing you to get off an ice beam or go set up with your ghost.

Toxic, as I previously mentioned, basically assures Regice that it will beat Hypno and Grumpig. They will not be doing much with psychic because of your Base 200 sp. def, so that gives you time to stall them out and continue sweeping without having to explode on them, which is just a terrible option with regice's base 50 attack and necessitating the use of a -Def/Sp. Def nature.

There may be "other" options, but I was posting the ones I thought to be the best, so you don't have to use them, but they can prove their use easily. And when your focus blast misses and losses you the game, or your explosion does only 80% max to a Hypno (if your nature is neutral towards attack) with 56 defense EVs, don't whine because you will know that those moves aren't very effective on regice.

And Pizzaman - thanks for backing me up on this :)

imo Toxic isn't really a good choice in the 4th slot (in UU), as Chansey doesn't give a shit about Toxic and will wall you all day anyway. Regice can't hit 404 HP either so if you use Substitute it'll beat you with Seismic Toss (I guess it can't paralyze you but you can't do anything to it either really). Counter seems a tad counterproductive (no pun intended) for something which is supposed to be fast, and really goes against the point of running Rock Polish in the first place. Unless you have something that can take out Chansey, Explosion would probably be the best option in the 4th slot.

Sorry if I wasn't clear... my suggestion for toxic was directed towards NU use, and counter as I previously explained could easily remove a counter if it cannot OHKO

I actually like Psych Up, with all the Raikou running around. Come in on it as it Calm Minds, RP as it Calm Minds again (hopefully), then blow it and probably the rest of your opponent's team to bits. Probably won't work more than once though.

Just posting to say that I have found that the defensive core of Steelix and Slowking is very successful in the current metagame.
Steelix
Nature Careful
EVS 252 HP 6 ATk 252 SpD
Moveset
EQ
Roar / Toxic
Stealth Rock
Crunch

Slowking
Ability Own Tempo
Nature Calm
Evs 252 HP 6 SpA 252 SpD
Moveset
Slack Off
ThunderWave
Surf
Psychic

The dou handles raikou, moltres, and mismaguis and several other top threats with out all fear. Furthermore Slowking is a great rain dance counter handling all the specail attackers with ease.

Is there a reason for Crunch on the Steelix? STAB Gyro Ball does more damage than an SE Crunch against Mismagius, although Crunch is better against Rotom.

In my experience that duo gets ripped apart by any physical Fire/Fighting Pokemon due to Slowkings mediocre Defense. Blaziken actually 2HKOes with CB Flare Blitz.

You would just end up negating your Rock Polish the turn you Psych Up on Raikou. Raikou then outruns you the next turn with an extra +1, meaning that you're always taking attacks a Calm Mind behind, making it a bit risky. Even if you come out victorious, you'll be weakened with no speed boost, so the reward isn't that great IMO.

Incorrect, he's just using a mediocre EV spread. Slowking is the best Blaziken counter available, much better than Milotic.

Speaking about Slowking, I just made a joint rmt with a friend (I don't want to sound like a brownose)

but wow... The Nasty plot set is lethal, and should get waaaaaaay more use. It's insane, this thing can set up on a huge amount of things (Moltres included!!!) and sweep. Here's a log of a friend of mine sweeping with Slowking:

Cool story.

And this log show what? That your friend swept someone whop is unprepared for NP-Slowking?
Does it mean that NP-Chatot is good, when i sweep someone with it?
It just means you are gonna get matched up against people who arent that good....

And unfortunately all Milotics nowadays are carrying Haze. Dunno when i saw someone using a Milotic wihtout Haze lately.

have slowking's partner be a baitlix (love that set) and lure in the milotic to explode on it... then one of slowking's counters is down.

Just as you say, it shows that NP-Slowking can be lethal when they are unprepared. Nothing more nothing less.

And not all Milotics carry Haze. Every moveslot counts on Milotic and Haze is definetely not it's staple move. (It's incredibly useful though)

Also your Snarkyness levels are through the roof.

I remember facing a RP Regice once. It must have been one of the most WTF moments I've ever had in UU. I don't quite remember what happened with it, though.

Milotic's staple moves are Surf/Hydro pump + Recover. It's used in all sets (except resttalk, but yea...)

Strange, even though LO milotic is onsite & stuff, people think it's the standard tank and gives my milotic always atleast one kill. It sucks milotic's movepool ain't that awesome (Nor is it's speed)

Btw, got beaten by a Icebeam/Chargebeam/Rest/Sleeptalk Regice, pure horror...

Btw, what are the best Anti-leads at the moment? My self-made anti-lead kangaskhan only works against frosslass, which sucks...

Froslass makes a good antilead, funnily enough. Shadow Ball + Ice Shard leaves enemy Frossies with a single layer, and you can probably get away with an intact sash.

Sneasel is an absolute beast, OHKO'ing Ambipom with Counter, Taunting Froslass before it can Spike, and Pursuiting it down to 1 HP on the switch.

Ty Narulyg, likely I'll use sneasel.

Also, I found Taunt + SD + Crunch + EQ drapion and Taunt + NP + Shadowball + HPfighting/Will-o-Wisp Mismagius work great. Use them on the same team, and even then they work well, why?

No idea, likely because they work similiar it isn't normal too see them together (atleast those kind of sets) or something
