The ExtremeSpeed Dragonite is Method K right?

I am not an expert..... and I don't know about IVs yet...... but getting a Shiny Timid Staryu w/ Natural Cure is easy in DPPt, just know your SID and know if the parents, (Ditto and Staryu/Starmie) are either International or Normal.... follow the steps for breeding shiny pokemon to get your seed and then follow the steps to get your results..... If you aren't familiar with the steps then PM me and I will give you step by step instruction....
Note: It may take some time and requires a lot of patience..... unless your very lucky......
I plugged in my ID/SID and tried to find a suitable spread for a shiny egg but all of them require 25000+ Happiness Double Taps.
Also would catching it be easier? This is a quote from the RNG Article on Smogon:
that doesn't apply for catching Shinies... for catching shinies... it will almost ALWAYS be harder than breeding unless you RNGd your ID/SID to begin with...
True. I also realised that the only way to catch Staryu is by fishing and you only encounter it 5% of the time so you have to hit your right seed and then there's 95% chance that you wasted your time because the Pokemon you fish won't even a Staryu.
Knowing that, is there another easier method of getting a Shiny Timid Staryu with Natural Cure and good IVs? Breeding one is easy because you know what to do, but having to do 20000+ Happiness Application Taps seems unrealistic.
if you reset your game and catch another high level poke and check the seed (like you did the time when you found out how many taps)... it will be different each time... it wont ALWAYS be 20,000 taps... you may get like 117 taps... which is VERY realistic
Use the shiny egg finder to find ones with lower frames. Also, check the encounter slots to see if the Pokemon will be a staryu if you intend on catching one (I do NOT recommend doing this as NPCs in Canalave and Sunyshore will mess you up a lot).

What chart on the first page are you referring to? There are links to the charts within RNG Reporter, if you right-click on "Calculate Encounter Slots..." for a Method J spread.
acinod: It's pretty straightforward. Enter your ID\SID, desired delay range, and it'll give you a list of seeds on which you can get a shiny egg matching your parameters. It'll also tell you the number of eggs you need to collect (e.g. if it says frame 1, then the first egg the man is holding will be your shiny egg)
Just to double check before I start tomorrow since I'm going to be limited to a short time tomorrow. I'm going to abuse Oak's Charmander and just want to make sure, the IVs are set when you choose it and not when you talk to him, right? Also, I've got all 3 roamers out, so the starting frame is 8, correct?
when you choose them and yeah on the frames but you can just use the seed verifier to check by how much the roamers advanced your frames on your specific seed.
Just recently RNG'd my Extremespeed Dratini and Ho-Oh, both at frame 1, since I'm not quite patient in RNGing in HGSS (because of absence of Coin Flips).
BTW, is anybody here an expert of RNGing the three Level 1 Sinnoh Legends?

Shiny breeding/perfect IVs RNGing in DPPt was a breeze for me now, but this ID/SID thing really confuse the hell out of me.
I'm going to outline what I did exactly:
1) I copied PID from OmegaDonut's spread and converted it into seed. The PID was 5560732f, and the seed I picked was 86021681 (TID: 34028 SID: 41637 Delay: 5751)
2) I input that seed into Seed to Time function in RNGReporter, with the year of 2010 and second was 58. I picked the date "2010 1 21" and the time was 2:55:58. Delay is obviously 5751.
3) I set the date and time. As for the time, I set it at 2:54. I got into the game, wait till the first timer in emloop run out (60 seconds) then I press "Begin New Adventure" button (the scene after pressing New Game, and before Prof. Oak's dialogue first show up).
4) At the second timer, I waited until the timer reach zero. As soon as it reaches zero, I press A at the "I'll See You Later" scene.
5) I checked my TID. It was 51828. I put the TID, along with other info (date, time, range of delay) into Pandora's Box, and there were no results. I tried to change the minute from 55 (target time from Seed to Time) to adjacent number like 56 or 57 because I think the second was very close to the next minute. That yield no results, either.
From what I understand, when I put all the info into the Seed Finder column of Pandora's Box, I should at least be able to find my TID, although it might be in nearby delay, right? Any help is really appreciate :D
PS. My delay range was 5000 to 6000

Go to the main RNGReporter window, and input the seed you want to use. Right click on the spread you want to use, and click calculate encounter slots. Click on "Platinum Encounter Tables" and it will take you to a page with all of the encounter slots recorded for platinum.
