Hyper Offensive Team with underrated Pokemon

This is a hyper offensive Team used in OU and only OU. It's purpose is to show what NU and UU Pokemon can accomplish in the OU enviorment. I chose 6 unique Pokemon which are all very underrated in my Opinion.

Team at a Glance:

Let's get Started:

Lead:

Persian aka. The Kitty Cat @ Silk Scarf
Ability: Technichian
EV's: 4 HP // 252 Attack // 252 Speed
Nature: Jolly (^ Speed // v Spc. Attack)
<Fake Out>
<Hypnosis>
<Bite>
<U-turn>

This is, in my Opinion, the perfect Lead. But that's not the only thing it can do. It can revenge Kill or bring Pokemon into KO Range with Fake Out+U-Turn after one of my other Pokemon has been killed. It's kind of like a recyclable Lead. It's a Joint that holds my Team together. It outspeeds nearly everything thanks to maxed out speed. Fake Out+Technichian+Silk Scarf+STAB=Sky High free Damage. Hypnosis puts large threats to sleep and Bite takes care of Gengar and other Ghosts. U-Turn brings in some more free damage and scouts out switch ins.

"second Lead"

Electrode aka. The armed Orb @ Life Orb
Ability: Sound Proof
EV's: 4 Attack // 252 Speed // 252 Spc. Attack
Nature: Haty (^ Speed // v Defence)
<Thunderbolt>
<Explosion>
<Taunt>
<Hidden Power Grass>

Why Electrode? Because of the combination of two things: The fact that he is fastest Pokemon in the non-Uber Metagame and the attacks Taunt and Explosion. I use him as a "second Lead" because he can finish off anything that Persian couldnt finish off and then does as much damage as possible. Most of the time I just let him play witht he oponents team as long as possible and then Explode into the face of anything that could finish him off. I love it how he just rips apart Yanmegas (people often forget hes Sound Proof Ability and attack him with Bug Buzz). Thunderbolt and HP Grass give excellent coverage and Taunt and Explosion are great tools to play around with my oponents team. Electode cause the oponent to switch around alot and lets me scout out the opponents team.

Main Sweeper

Wailord aka. The Legend @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Water Veil
EV's: 28 Attack // 228 Speed // 252 Spc. Attack
Nature: Naive (^ Speed // v Spc. Defence)
<Water Spout>
<Surf>
<Ice Beam>
<Selfdestruct>

Seriously this is the most uderrated Pokemon ever. It takes Hit like a Champ due to its gigantic HP Stat, it OHKO's so many things with the mighty Water Spout, it outspeed A LOT of pokemon with a Choice Scarf and Naive Nature AND it can get out of a pinch quickly with Selfdestruct. I often bring him out in early game to wreck some havoc with Water Spout and as soon as its HP is lowered a pull him out. Then in late game I unleash him again and either Explode on something threatning my team or go for a second sweep with Surf or Ice Beam. He takes care of so many OU threats such as Heatran, Salamence, Latias, Tyranitar and sometimes even Lucario and Scozor.

Revenge Killer
127.png

Pinsir aka. The Crusher @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Mold Breaker
EV's: 252 Attack // 4 Defence // 252 Speed
Nature: Jolly (^ Speed // v Spc. Attack)
<X-Scissor>
<Earthquake>
<Close Combat>
<Stone Edge>

Another Scarfer? Yes But he has a completley difrent purpose. He can take on many walls in the OU metagame. But he is also an excellent Revenge Killer. With Choice Scarf+Jolly Nature it outspeeds even Gengar and KO's it with Earthquake (yay for Mold Breaker!) X-Scissor is a great STAB, and takes out Dark and Psychic Types. Close Combat is for Tyranitar, Blissey, Lucario etc... Earthquake+Stone Edge gives some more great coverage. Overall the best thing about this set is the *Wtf-how-did-you-just-outspeed-me-syndrome*

Joker
206.png

Dunsparce aka. The... Thing @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EV's: 144 HP // 252 Attack // 36 Defence // 76 Spec. Defense
Nature: Adamant (^ Attack // v Spc. Attack)
<Thunderwave>
<Rock Slide>
<Headbutt>
<Bite>

This is the most intresting pokemon on this team. Why I use it over Jirachi? First of all because Dunsparce has 3 Flinch Moves. And Second of all, if I would use Jirachi that would destoy the whole point of this team. Dunsparce is there primarily to take care of Pokemon the rest of my team can't handle, as it theoretic
ly can handle anything that doesnt have Inner Focus. Dunsparce usually olny KO's 1 Pokemon per Battle but that more then enough. ParaFlinch sets also play a large psychological roll in battles. It is really frustrating to see 1 of your pokemon slowly getting flinched to death. The moveset is easily explained: Thunder Wave paralizes the opponent which allows me to outspeed the opponent and adds a 30% chance of him not attacking. Bite, Headbutt and Rock Slide Provide great coverage. Overall this set is really fun to use.

Late Game Sweeper
470.png

Leafeon aka. The Drug @ Life Orb
Ability: Leaf Guard
EV's: 252 Attack // 4 Defence // 252 Speed
Nature: Jolly (^ Speed / v Spc. Attack)
<Swords Dance>
<Leaf Blade>
<Return>

<Quick Attack>

Leafeon is often overlooked as a sweeper. But it is, in my Opinion, nothing less then one of the best Late Game Sweepers in the metagame.Its Stat distributionis nearly perfect for an eeveelution. It's bulky enough to take a hit and set up SD, is fast enough to oustpeed alot of Pokemon and can KO anything thats has already been weakend by Wailord, Pinsir and Electrode. Life Orb gives some more power. Leaf Blade and REturn provide good coverage and Quick Attack is for Priority to KO Scarfers or suprise pokemon that think they can outsmart me with a priority move of their own.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The general strategy of this team is too First do some damage with Electrode and explode. Then I blow some Major holes into the defence of the opponent. Up to that pint I should know most of my opponents team and take care of the major threats with Pinsir and Dunsparce. After that Wailord comes in again and does some more damage or explodes aswell. Leafeon then comes in to clean up.
I would like to apologize for all the grammar and spelling mistakes I made in this post, english is not my first tounge.
Well first, I would replace return on your leafeon with x-scissor just for some extra coverage. It also looks like that some strong steel types could easily wall most of your team. Registeel and Steelix resists practically all of Leafeon's, Persian's, Dunsparce's, and Electrode's attacks.
Ill be sure to replace return thanks.
Pinsir and Wailord take good care of Steel types but they ARE a problem. Remember that this team is used only in OU, were Steelix and Registeel arent that common.
Didn't he say this is for OU and only OU? How often will you see those in OU?
This is great, I am always happy to see creativity.
X-Scissor has a small number of targets. Dark types are limited to Tyranitar (leaf blade hits) and Weavile (weakling w/ ice shard). Grass types are rare and often have a pairing with a type that resists bug. The only worthwhile targets are Celebi and Cresselia, who Pinsir handles nicely. If you really want to get some better coverage then you might try Dig. Even though it seems like a big gimmick it does strike steels quite hard and on a last man situation Leafeon will win over guys like Metagross and Jirachi. Otherwise just keep the set.
One problem I see is that even with Scarfers there are various sweepers who will finish you, specifically Gyarados who may survive Stone Edge. I suppose Leafeon would finish him off with Quick Attack, but that is a weak move which doesn't work on everyone. I'm talking about guys like Zapdos with Agility and Bulky DD Dragonite. So the reccomendation is Stealth Rock. Miltank is also NU (why the **** I don't know) and she is probably 5 times better than Dunsparce. She can use Thunderwave (to support Leafeon) as well as set up Stealth Rock. I won't even mention the other obvious bonuses to using her.
Good Luck!
Fitting the theme of underrated pokes I would suggest incorporating Reicanth into your team. I was just destroyed by one of these in OU. It can sweep a team and and be a defensive wall at the same time. I would suggest replacing Electode with it but its your choice. I would go with this set:
Adamant @ Life Orb
Ability Rock Head
Evs- 252 attack 252 Speed 6 Hp
-Rock Polish
-Head smash
-Waterfall
-Earthquake
This is just a suggestion and might not fit well with your team. Good Luck
Thanks for the feedback. Dig seems like a great gimmick actually I'd love to try it. I will test miltank right now if it works for me I will edit it in.
and about Relicanth Im not quite sure. I have used it in other team before and loved it but I dont see how it fits the strategy of this team. I might try it out though
Relicanth would work. Maybe it could go over Miltank, who is more Bulky Offensive than Hyper Offensive. Rock Polish makes it the NU Aggron.
Also, I think that after Persian, you can U-turn into a Scarfer. You do have two of them. I suggest replacing Ursaring with a SD Quick Feet Ursaring.
http://www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/ursaring
Yeah, it's really too late to just type it. Anyway, Ursaring is not very common, but he reaches humongous speed and attack stats after quick feet and swords dance. If you don't like Relicanth, you could try Ursaring over Dunsparce, who doesn't seem to help this team much.
Ok tomorrow I will test Miltank, Relicanth and Ursaring. Ill go to bed now its friggen 5 am over here. Thanks for all the feedback.
this team needs every single one of its members replaced, cause as it is ddmence/gyara as well as lucario rip through it. wake up and play competitive pokemon, buddy, because this sure as hell is not competitive pokemon
if you are willing to change then I can offer some advice but as it stands nothing can be changed without completely changing the style of this team
I'll just suggest infernape over your pinsir for some wallbreaking because skarmbliss eats you for breakfast. suicune or starmie are worth looking into to cover your dragon dance weakness. a salamence of your own combats the ridiculous weakness to stall too
this team is good. after the changes people have suggested and the fact you want underrated pokemon, this team is fine.
one thing. this is not hyper offensive. HO means you switch in after a poke has died, set up on the switch then try to sweep. no choice items as other wise you can't sweep and dunsparce is useless as you want to sweep, to flinch or paralyze them
This clearly isn't a boring standard team. He clearly doesn't want to use the standard SkarmBliss, Gyarados, Infernape etc, because it isn't interesting!
For my own points, I like the team. I'd say to keep Leaf Blade for the likes of Swampert over X-Scissor, although it's unlikely that a Swampert would stay in on a Leafeon.
I love your team, i love UU and NU pokemon, and i play them about five times as much as i play OU. Therefore i'm able to give some helpful suggestion from my experience.
firstly, you really would want to consider changing persian to ambipom. Ambipom is basically a better persian except it doesn't have hypnosis, which is very risky because if you miss you'll almost always die due to persian's defenses. Ambipom on the other hand gets higher attack, which means even more free hits and with double hit or u-turn it can kill the opponent or run away, hitting for some damage without actually ambipom getting hurt. Ambipom can also use payback and low kick, which are helpful in fighting with pokemon that resist or are immune to fake out.
Secondly, You may want to consider using blastoise over wailord. This is because mainly of two reasons. firstly, very few people expect blastoise to carry water spout, because most people see it as a utility and a wall, so instead of switching to something to wall it, they would usually bring out powerful but frail wallbreakers to deal with it, and then watch in horror as water spout OHKOs them. However, for wailord, everyone knows it carries water spout because thats the most common set for it. Secondly, blastoise has higher speed and sp.att (if you count in the fact that you can use modest instead of hasty/naive), which makes it fire off stronger and quicker water spouts. Although not having self destruct is unfortunate, it is able to attempt another sweep yet again in late game, when torrent kicks in and boosts surf's power to almost as high as a fully powered water spout. This also give blastoise a free moveslot to put hp grass/hp electric/rapid spin.
Not having stealth rock is very unfortunate, because the current metagame kind of revolves around it, and not having it on the battlefield is like a playground for gyarados and salamence. However, i cant even think of anyone to lay down stealth rock on your team. Maybe you can switch electrode for dugtrio (lol) and let it put stealth rock instead... I dunno.
P.S. Electrode isn't the fastest in the non-uber metagame; ninjask is, although ninjask can't do anything to electrode anyway.
Why don't you replace Leafeon with another NU pokemon, as with that you would have 6 NU's! With this your opponent will be even more embarrassed when you pummel them to the floor. Although your team is hyper-offence you may want to consider a defensive glue/pivot, porygon-2 the most reliable gyarados check in the game. For a leafeon replacement you may want to consider an agility lifeorb kingler, or even an SD kingler if you're feeling ballsy. Bellydrum magmortar is also viable (lol). Espeon is only not used because its psychic and outclassed by alakazam, but it is still an offensive battering ram.
Why don't you replace Leafeon with something else. As a late game sweeper, I reckon it should have more type coverage as it is your last resort. Grass and normal just seems to be NVE against too many pokemon
