Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

1) When I caught Suicune, the indicators in the Pokedex for Latias, Raikou, and Entei all disappeared despite the fact I encountered them. Does this mean they're gone and out of the equation until I beat the E4 again?

2) I've been trying to find a good IV spread for HP Grass 70 Modest Zapdos, but have had 0 luck finding seeds, anyone know a good one?

If I use the coin flip app on the PokeTech, will it make the RNG Frame advance at all? Or will it stay the same until I do something that will change the frame?

When RNGing the dogs, post E4, do you need to have five Poke'mon or can you have six?
When I did my Entei, I advanced the frames before the E4 to 8 under my target frame to account for the NPC and walked 128steps with 6 pokemon on me and then re-releasing Entei advanced the frame by 1 to get my frame, so you could use 5 pokemon

It advances the frame for egg PIDs but not anything else until you do something to advance the frame

So, if I'm using method J to catch Palkia, after ten flips the frame will still be at 1?

I am getting ready to rip my hair out. I'm new to RNG, and it's proving to be quite difficult....

For RNG hatching Pokemon, it says to follow the calibration steps or whatever, but what happens if you already have the Pokemon that you want to breed?

So six Poke'mon advances by six if I read that correctly?

Eight different HP Grass spreads, plug all the different IVs into the Seed Finder with Open Search checked until you see a seed you like. The above list shows PIDs, not seeds.

B51205A8's not bad, frame 24 with a Synchronizer.

So six Poke'mon advances by six if I read that correctly?
yes, but ive heard that it can be inconsistent

you can figure out after how many steps your frame is advanced by walking 10 steps in an area without any NPCs and checking with the Elm method if there was an advancement in the frame - if not walk another 10steps and check, and so on

this takes out the inconsistency - if you do this advance the frame to 2 under your target frame and then enter the E4 and play through it as normal(you do not walk more than 80steps while going through the E4)

Okay.

1. Trying to catch a Shiny Ho-oh, with a Quirky nature, with 30/11/14/31/30/8.

2. Perfect seed for me is 1D1703E2. Frame 1, Actual Frame 16. Delay 984.

3. Um not quite sure how to verify it. Sorry......

4. Most of the time I get an Impish Ho-oh, not shiny, with terrible IVs.

Thanks for your help!

well what you can do to check what seed you are hitting you can input the IVs of that ho-oh,you can try it with ho-oh stats if its close to Lv. 50 as well, you do get into seedfinder on RNG reporter, fill in the appropriate information date/time, etc. and click generate. That will give you the seed you are hitting. And make sure you don't have any roamers out since your ho-oh is on frame 1, any roamers out will cause it jump to frame 2 or higher.

Find out the IVs of the Ho-oh you end up catching, and plug them into the Seed Finder along with the date\time.

Oh. Great. I have 3 (forgot Suicune wasn't a roamer).

Whats the difference between frame and actual frame?

EDIT: First try too many possibilities.

EDIT2: Still too many possibilities. Gotta go to dinner though. Be back in maybe a half hour.
What do you recommend I do about the roamers?

Ok, I'm back. Any suggestions, particularly on the roamers? Should I just catch them?

EDIT: Why does it say "Quoted by FAT Njb013"?

You don't need to catch them; instead, get a Quirky syncher. If you have a Quirky Pokémon with Synchronise leading your party, then your Ho-oh will appear on later frames (frames 3, 7, 9 and 15, to be precise).

Yeah, but if you have the roamers out then there's no way of getting frame one. Using a syncher means it will be on frame seven, for instance; so then you can advance to their from your starting frame. It's still a pretty easy advancement. What frame are you starting on, by the way? (Enter the routes the roamers were on when you saved and see how many frame advances that equates to for your seed).

Well, check your Pokégear to see what route your roaming Pokémon are on and enter them into RNGReporter (at the bottom) before saving, then click generate with your seed showing. It will come up with how many frame advances you'll get and what routes they should be on if you then hit your seed.

No, you can pretty much ignore the actual frame. You start on frame 1, then three advancements for three roamers (the usual amount) puts you on frame 4. You then need to get to frame 7, so do three further advancements (hm, the radio doesn't get reception on top of Tin Tower, does it?) maybe better to go for frame 9, then, with five advancements. (To get five advancements walk 128 steps on top of the tower with five Pokémon in your party).

So, to recap; you want a party of five with a Quirky syncher in the lead position. Save on top of the tower, making a note of the roamers positions, and then generate to check where the roamers should end up. (If you get a larger than three advancement, let the roamers move around then try again). Now try and hit your seed. Check where the roamers are to verify if you hit your seed or not. If you hit it, then walk 128 steps to advance the frame 5 times (starting frame 1 + 3 for the roamers + 5 = 9) which should be your Ho-oh.

If it's not, catch it and put the IVs into RNG Reporter to see what you did get.
