Method to get onto Shoddy

Ok so as most of you know, I cannot get onto shoddy because of a firewall in my dorm. With SPL looming I'd like to get some practice in, and therefore need the help of you technologically advanced.

My dorm blocks all server connections it seems, from Shoddy to even MIRC. I've tried tunneling and that SSH jazz, but could never find a program that would open Shoddy (since it's not an exe file, but rather runs on Java).

If anyone has any ideas on what programs I could use to bypass the firewall, I'd greatly appreciate it. Hit me up on IRC or just post in this thread. Thanks.
 
Trying running an exact clone of your OS in vmware. Use a NAT connection so it shares with your computer, and might trick the connection to show as something else. I'm not sure if it works, but give it a shot.

I've tried this already, hasn't worked. I basically need a program that would open Java files once I connect to an SSH server, if that makes any sense. I tried doing what you said with Leopard, as well as XP Professional, to no avail.
