It's Seed Flare time.
I think we should have a small section for creative writing (fan-ficts, etc.) I loove reading other peoples fanficts (one of the reasons i check the Nuzlocke thread so often, some people make amazing stories). We could have a competition, with a new theme every week, for example, a battle between (Pokemon) and (Pokemon) and then a group of judges could decide who is the best. Ok maybe I am getting a little bit ahead of myself there but I think somewhere to share Pokemon-related fan-ficts would be nice for all the creative writers out there (myself included).
 
This is a decent idea. You should possibly consider proposing it as one of the articles of The Smog occasionally (if it has a good amount of relevance to Pokemon).
 
Somewhat related: I think the remit of Smeargle's Studio should be extended to include all user-created artistic works. Not just for writing, but I think user-made music for example would get more and better attention there than in Internet Renaissance. Why is graphic art currently afforded a special place in comparison to music, animation, writing, and others?

Their isn't any specific rule against it; Zari made a thread for music he created, and it was (and is) well received, I just think that people don't realize other forms of media are acceptable in Smeargle Studio's.

Writing has been a part of Internet Renaissance for a while now. I remember there being poetry threads in the past. If Smeargle's Studio grows large enough, there could be a writer's subforum, though I'm not sure if they will get as much attention as art threads.
 
I didn't think short stories got read here.. I posted one in Internet Renaissance a while ago, but didnt get any comments. Maybe that was the wrong place?
 
Another potentially good place for creative writing on Smogon is in Firebot. For example, Foreys's thread Little Minotaur was a Firebot thread that contained some of his short stories, and was a successful thread. And if you post a piece of writing in Firebot, you know it will be viewed and commented on.
