Quick question, do the BT trainers use choice scarf? And if i migrate a machop to platinum, is its nature set when i save to migrate or can I redo the palpark to get one with no guard?

I think few Pokemon in the Battle Tower have choice items - some trainers may share Pokemon, so it's not the "trainers" really so much. I remember there's a ScarfTar in there somewhere, but choice items are a lot rarer than in competitive play.
I'm not sure this list is entirely accurate with regard to like, EVs and things, but you should be able to check items with this.

Oh also, it is possible to transfer a Machamp through Pal Park and have it have No Guard. Basically each Pokemon will have either Ability 1 or Ability 2. Since for RSE Machamp both are set to Guts, you won't be able to tell until you transfer it, but those with Ability 2 (or is it 1?) will have No Guard when migrated. I think. Redoing Pal Park won't change them though...

But it's not gonna survive. Any Uber physical attack is gonna take it out, and it'll probably fall to most special attacks too.
If you're dead set on using Glaceon, either spread paralysis like crazy first, or put it in a Trick Room team.

Mm, well with modest 36HP 252SpA 220SpD it takes "67.1% - 79.3%" from the Taunt Calm Mind Mewtwo set's Aura Sphere. Considering that Mewtwo is taking "99.4% - 117.2%" by switching into Blizzard, I don't think it does too badly.
Maybe I'll just never get people to love Glaceon as much as I do... :'(

So its impossible to get a machamp with no guard if I transfer from third generation?
Something you can do: transfer a Machoke from Gen III. It'll have a 1 in 2 chance of getting No Guard if you then evolve it by trade in Gen IV, and you'll have the No Guard Machamp with a Gen III move you wanted. (The 1 in 2 chance is based on its PID, by the way, so if you're RNGing it, you'll need to bear that in mind.)

Oh crap, i already closed my game :( oh well thanks anyways

Ill go ask in requests if anyone have a machop/machoke/machamp with 31 IV's and mimic...

Seeing as how I was an idiot and failed to RNG certain legends in the past I was considering using rebattle codes to reobtain them, the question is would they be considered legit? Especially a wondercard legendary like Deoxys from way back.

Yah i just beat brock. but i can't get through mount moon. My pokemon are too weak and i can't get through without blacking out, is there an easier way through the cave, or will i have to keep battling wild pokemon until their strong enough. i have a pidgy at lvl 7 and a bulbasaur at lvl 10.

Are the Pokemon in the Battle Tower/rest of the frontier EVed?
Lacerta's link kind of answered this question...But I have one more.....

If the Female has Everstone, and the male a Power item, will the nature not pass on when you breed them?

As far as I remember, the common pokemon of Mount Moon are Clefairy, Geodude, Zubat, and Paras [correct me if I'm wrong]. You may want to make your pokemon evolve into Pidgeotto and Ivysaur, but then that will be too much. At least level Pidgey to 15 and Bulbasaur to 16 (so it evolves) and go through Mount Moon with those 2. I'm pretty sure you can kill Clefairy and Geodude with Ivysaur and Paras and Zubat are killed by Pidgey.

Or better yet, see this.

Where can i find an ev guide for HGSS?

Is it different for HG/SS? Unless I'm missing something, EV Training works the same. Here's a guide, anyway.

I'd welcome some advice on the Hariyama I'm building. I already know the general build I want,

adaman
tthick fat
448 HP
309 atk
201 def
-
219 sp.def
-

I haven't done the calculations for the exact EVs, but it's using all 107 points. I haven't decided upon the moveset yet. He is built for sp.def and a leftovers HP number. He is adamant for the 12 extra points it provides over careful. The general moveset I have in mind is,

-leftovers
revenge
payback
bulk up
rest

Close Combat does incredible damage without Revenge's limitation, but defeats the purpose of so much defensive investment.
Brick Break is I assume doing much less damage in the long run.

I'd like him to take physical hits a bit better than he currently does. Rest feels like a gamble until I can test it.

The underlying purpose of the build is soaking fire, ice, rock, dark, and bug attacks. And with these stats he can survive a max sp.atk modest Alakazam psychic.

Would Knock Off and Close Combat be better for my purposes? Counter? Rest talk?

Can anyone answer: what natures is mostly used on DDMence and why?
Naive. Lowering Special Defense is not that bad compared to lowering defense because of scizor as the previous poster stated.

You also need max speed to tie with other base 100s before a boost and tie with scarfrachi and scarfgon after a boost. It also forces latias to run timid rather than modest and you may be able to catch a select few off guard in this way.

Are Gym Leader Pokemon EV trained? I'm trying to figure out how much work I need to put in to outrun some of them. If there's a "typical" set of IVs/nature that Gym Leaders tend to have, I'd love to have that info, too.

The stationary ones like Heatran and Regiggas have their IVs determined when you enter the battle so you can still RNG abuse them. Mesprit and Cresselia's IVs and Nature are determined when you first talk to them and fly away. Zapdos, Motres, and Articuno's IVs and Nature are determined when you get the National Pokedex in Platinum or when you beat the Pokemon League again, if you defeat them.

Thank you!

Dewgong Question:
Does his Hydratation effect his Perish Song? Like, cure him of it?
(Hydratation: If the weather is Rainy, the Pokemon with Hydration will heal any status conditions it has.)
(Move: EGG Perish Song -- Status)

regards,
Romian
