Yeah, this is my second RMT, which is a UU team.
I just felt like building a team with highly rated UU pokemon, other than Uxie.
And.. This team is an attempt of doing that, but with some other things that I have added personally.
NOTE: Changes will be made in blue.
Team at a glance:
So this team actually works very nice, it has given my newly made account, which has battled with this team only, a CRE of around 1400. The synergy works better than I thought, but it still has some counters. Overall, I really like it and I think it has potential.
Ambipom, a hard-hitting, fast anti-lead. I'm running the regular set with Fake Out, but I've also added Low Kick to deal with Rocks and Steels.
Blaziken. Ah, this Blaziken is scarfed and I really like it. It's an awesome revenge killer who does not get walled by Chansey, despite being a special attacker, thanks to Superpower.
Hitmontop, whose set is a mixture of the all famous Technitop, and the Rapid Spinner. Yeah, basically, it is a Technitop with Rapid Spin instead of Bullet Punch/Stone Edge/Sucker Punch, or whatever move I didn't pick.
Moltres. It's a very fast Special Sweeper, with the ability to cripple pokemon as a surprise. With a realiable spinner on the team, being Hitmontop, Moltres works awesome.
Milotic. A very bulky water that has proven to be amazing to stop sweeps and even Toxic stall. Her bulk and fire resistance are awesome for my team.
Registeel, now being a supporter. He is now my guy to set up rocks. He can cripple many pokemon with Thunder Wave as well as proceed to kill stat-uppers with Seismic Toss. I also added Explosion for an unexpected kill, which is handy as Registeel can't regain HP.
Ambipom @
Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Nature: Adamant
- Fake Out
- Taunt
- U-turn
- Low Kick
Ambipom is one of the most used leads in UU, and for a good reason. It has a STAB + Technician boosted Fake Out, which will hurt quite a few pokemon a lot. It also has a great Speed stat, combined with Taunt, making it an excellent anti-lead.
I tried a little twist being Low Kick on this set, to deal with rocks and steels, as mentioned above, in particular Registeel, Aggron, Rhyperior and the likes. Low Kick is also my only fighting option on this team, except for Hitmontop. Well, except Focus Blast on Sceptile, which is rarely used anyway.
Blaziken @
Choice Scarf
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 84 Hp/ 184 SpA / 240 Spe
Nature: Rash
- Fire Blast
- Superpower
- Hidden Power Ice
- Shadow Claw
Blaziken, a very good revenge killer, and mixed sweeper. It has scarf to outrun almost anything non-scarfed including +2 Torterra and Rhyperior and revenge kill them with Fire Blast or Superpower respectively. I am thinking about changing Hidden Power to Grass. Let me know what you guys think about that. The main reason to do so, is that I replaced ThunderPunch with Shadow Claw as I wanted to get that kill on Mismagius, whose Def, especially compared to its SpD, is not very good. So anyway, without Thunderpunch I need a way to deal with the bulky waters. That's why I'm thinking Hidden Power Grass. It would also allow me to hit and kill a weakened Lanturn.
Hitmontop @
Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Hp / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
Nature: Adamant
- Fake Out
- Mach Punch
- Close Combat
- Rapid Spin
So, this is your regular Technitop. Except that it also has Rapid Spin. So it hits many pokemon hard with its Technician boosted priority moves. It doesn't actually need Sucker Punch to kill ghosts, so, I just went with a mixture of them both.
So this Hitmontop works very well, and his spinning is often reliable. Also his Close Combat murders Registeel, who I otherwise would have slight problems with, if used correctly.
Moltres @
Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 Hp / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Nature: Timid
- Fire Blast
- Air Slash
- Hidden Power Grass
- Roost
Moltres is, to me, one of the best Special Sweepers in UU. It works wonders, especially with that Hidden Power Grass to hit incoming waters and rocks fairly hard, particularily Rhyperior.
It also has Roost, to heal off some damage from the Life Orb, as well as not being weak to electric for one turn, as well as resisting ice, and not dying from a rock attack. It has many pros.
Hitmontop being a reliable Rapid Spinner also gives me the ability to use Moltres to it's fullest.
Milotic @
Leftovers
Ability: Marvel Scale
EVs: 252 HP / 200 Def / 56 SpD
Nature: Calm
- Surf
- Recover
- Toxic
- Haze
Milotic is the bulky water of this team. It can easily Toxic stall with Recover, as well as stopping sweepers with its Haze, and it will almost always survive a +2 attack from any pokemon, because those getting +2 are usually not running Electric/Grass attacks, or at least not STAB ones. It also has Surf for its own nice STAB move. This pokemon is very sturdy and fits very nice in my team.
Thanks to @IronBullet93, who suggested it.
Registeel @
Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Nature: Careful
- Stealth Rock
- Seismic Toss
- Thunder Wave
- Explosion
Now that Miltank/Chansey is gone, I needed myself another stealth rocker. So I simply gave Registeel his old set back.
This one is very disruptive, crippling many sweepers with Thunder Wave, as well as hurting stuff, no matter how many stat-ups, with Seismic Toss. It also has Explosion as a nice surprise killing some pokemon that are usually not expecting it.
It's a purely specially defensive build, taking even a Moltres' Fire Blast and can cripple it back with Thunder Wave or kill it with Explosion. That goes for many other pokemon as well, including +0 Houndoom.
So this is the team for now.
Please rate and comment, and.. Thanks in advance. :D
